Chapter 78 Appointment of the New Chairman

That night, Jade held a shareholder meeting for the third time.

Everyone was very unhappy about this and wondered if Jade's head had been hit. He clearly knew that Victor was currently in the hospital, so why would he hold a shareholder meeting at a time like this?'

Many were unwilling to attend, but they were all present due to the fact Jade stated that there was something important that she wanted to communicate in the meeting.

"No matter how important this announcement is. Victor is still in the hospital now, so this meeting is nothing more than an official homage!”

"Let's see how it goes. If it's something that benefits us, we'll just support it and choose the motion to continue.”

"You're right. If it doesn't benefit us, Jade might forget to even try.”.

The four elders from the group of five muttered as they discussed and entered the conference room. They truly believe that they hold a winning hand and will be the ultimate winner no matter what cards are played! They thought Jade was just a woman who had no idea what she should do with the meager shares she had in Odello Corp.

“Calling shareholder meetings.. Do you know why meetings like this should be held? Goddamn it!" Matthew entered the conference room, a curse coming out of his mouth.

He then immediately saw Jade sitting on the chair. The chair was actually more or less the same as someone else's chair, but it was in a very clear location for everyone to notice. Jade was sitting on the most powerful chair around the oval table, which hurt Matthew's eyes.

Was he hit in the head? Who gave you the authority to sit in that chair ?! ”

After Matthew scolded him, the four elders joined in, scolding Jade for being uncontrollable and rude.

“Even Victor, who holds the highest percentage of shares in this company, did not dare to take that place, so who do you think you are?!”

"Just right! Now get out of that chair!”

The four elders were not afraid of offending Jade because they already knew that Victor held a 51% stake. Moreover, Odello Corp. would become Dowding Corp. soon, so there was no reason for them to be afraid of the naive little girl anymore.

Finally, as the four elders and Matthew hurled out all sorts of insults, Jade stood up from her seat. However, he had no intention to step aside. Instead, he told his secretary to share the documents he had in his hands. When everyone received a copy, Jade finally spoke up.

“I sent a message to let you all know in advance that I have a very important announcement to make tonight, but it seems that none of you trust me. Don't worry, go ahead and open the document you have, and we'll talk after you've finished reading it.”

After which, Jade sat back down on the chair.

This time, the other people present should not be bothered by the seating arrangements anymore. They all wanted to see what he had that allowed him to behave arrogantly.

So they took the document and started reading it.

It was only a matter of time before they all had the same glaring expression on their faces - one of shock, astonishment, and disbelief ...

However, all of their expressions carried the same question...Jade has become the biggest shareholder?!

The four old men were confused  . “Why did Victor give all 51% of his shares to Jade? Is he crazy?!

Matthew is also very confused by this new disclosure.Jade now has a 64% stake in the company on his hands?! Where did he get it?!

The four elders personally muttered something for a while until one of them finally raised his doubts ..

It's fake! I'm sure you're lying that you hold this much stock! You really took advantage of the fact that Victor could not speak and pulled out the numbers from the wishful thinking! ”

Matthew doesn't trust Jade either. “I only got 26% shares, so where can you cheat that much? You lied!"

Jade could not waste time explaining herself and continued to have her secretary play the video.

After the video ended, the four elders and Matthew were completely stunned. They leaned back in their seats, unable to say a word.

They have just been given hard evidence that Jade did not lie to them, and that she actually held a 64% stake in the company at the time.

The percentage he held was higher than the one Mr. John held when he became chairman!

Jade then tapped on the table with her knuckles to get their attention before she asked, "So, is there anyone here who still mind me sitting on this chair?"

He sounded very calm, but the power in his voice was absolute and unrivalled!

The five of them in the conference room now understood that the important thing Jade wanted was to announce that the night was the appointment of a new chairman.

Silent, the four old men knew that their only option at the time was to remain silent, even though they did not understand why Victor gave him his share to Jade.

Matthew could not say a word, but there were many thoughts raging in his mind.

'Why? wh why? why  ?? ? Jade was just a naive little woman, so why could she continue to climb to the top no matter how hard I tried to hit her? Now, look! He managed to turn things around and is now the chairman!'

However, Matthew was just like the elders and could only remain silent, no matter how unhappy he was with this sudden news.

Upon seeing the five people in front of him, Jade once again spoke up. "At that time, since no one objected to me becoming the new chairman, now I will talk to you all."

He looked at the four elders and continued, “Looking at how the four of you are already seniors, I suggest you all continue and retire of your own accord. I'll have someone take over your duties later, so the four of you can enjoy a retired life at home from tomorrow. ”

"What?!" One of the elders immediately sat up straight after Jade made the announcement to voice her objections and doubts. "It is true that you are now the chairman, but you have no right to force us to leave without a proper reason. We may be small shareholders, but we remain shareholders!”

Jade waved her hand and her secretary brought some documents to the four elders that contained nothing but evidence of embezzlement, corruption, and many other wrongdoings.

No matter how well they try to cover their tracks, they are definitely no match for the top financial hacker Javier hired.

When Javier handed these documents to Jade, he knew it was time for the old fox to pack their bags and leave.

Looking at the four of them, Jade continued, “You all now have two more options. One, go home and live your days in retirement. Or two... The four of you should already know where I'm going with this now.”

The four elders looked at each other and could see helplessness and disappointment in their eyes.

They all knew that their group of five was now over, and they had to count their lucky stars that they were still allowed to go home to live the rest of their lives in peace.

Finally, the four of them quietly nodded their heads, admitting that they would leave the company for good.

After dealing with the four of them, Jade turned to look at Matthew, who was suddenly in a panic.

She knew Jade was no longer the woman who could be insulted and criticized like she used to be. Instead, she had somehow become so powerful that she was now able to disband the group of five men and also become the queen of the Odello Company.

This queen was now strong enough to kill him if she wanted to!

Therefore, Matthew feared for his life! He was afraid that he would end up the same as the four old men.

Of course, Jade did have a document in her hands that contained evidence of Matthew's illegal activity in the company.

And now, he was completely under his mercy. All he had to do was raise his hand and throw away the documents to sentence Matthew to death!
