The Hero
Chapter 249 There's A Lot of Heat In You

Javier's L5 model tore off the freeway and went straight home.

It was a smooth journey. His new car is comparable to his experience of driving a luxury car with much-praised comfort, such as a Bentley. This proves that the country has always been able to produce good cars, and their focus on making cheap cars is to their detriment. To make a cheap car, one must save on materials and quality, so that the cars produced face enough accidents and problems that the public increasingly distrusts their national production cars.

It was nine o'clock when he got home. At that time, Jade was training in their private gym. After all, a sexy and toned body needs treatment. All that sweat is just tears of excess fat when it is burned.

Javier at first doesn't pay much attention to his activities, but the longer he watches, the more he suspects something else. Her eyes began to widen in excitement as she asked, “Don't say... You will soon become a mother?”

"What's? No!" He protested shyly. “I mean, fine. My period is over ten days late now, and it is not something that is prone to happen to me. My period was always very timely - the worst delay I ever experienced was two days. But more than a week? I mean.. Could it really be?”

Javier frowned. “Then what are you doing, Jade? Stop all these exercises before you hurt my precious daughter!”

"How are you so sure it's gonna be a girl, huh?" Jade grumbled, though once again, she sounded more coquettish than completely displeased. “I'm afraid you might be upset by the news, so I thought I'd see for myself how it went. But to be honest, if this level of exercise is all it takes to lose a baby, then whatever, I guess.

Javier's wrinkle turned into a grin. “Hey, that's terrible, okay? Why should I be upset, huh? I'm over the moon, baby! This is our baby, Jade. Yours and mine - our little things! I don't care if it's a boy or a girl. I'd love it all the same. But more importantly, I want you to take care of yourself. That's the first step to take care of our baby.”

His rejection was not as usual, but it ultimately came from his concern for Jade and their child. Thinking about the prospect of being a father alone triggers a happy dance in his system. However, if she had to complain about something, her pregnancy effectively forbade her from having an affair**** with Jade for a year. He will only be given the privilege to cuddle with a very sexy woman but not allowed to climb to fourth base?

Lord, this will be a torment for his body and soul!

Javier kept rolling around in his bed that night. He's going to be a father! A father-who is uncharted territory, something very new and exciting that makes him very, very happy!

To her dismay, Jade reported to her in the morning that her period had arrived. Javier is so pissed off. "Are you. Did you just give me false hope?!”

He smiled, and he caught a twinkle of excitement and a faint sign of cunning in his bright pupils. Something was wrong, he realized. He gave her no false hope. All of this was probably a lie from the beginning.

He pushed it a little further until he finally spilled the beans.

Apparently, Jade had read somewhere online that telling her partner about pregnancy was a good way to measure the man's pregnancy.

“I'm sorry, baby. I know lying is bad, but I just..I feel so insecure after finding the hair on your shirt again, you know? Inevitably I wondered if you slept with another woman so often that you forgot me again. I'm sorry…"

Javier speechless. Did he just make a big deal out of the mole rat's nest?

However, seeing how pitiful and pitiful he was, it made his chest hurt. Javier has to admit that the fact that Jade has done what is unnecessary is because he cares deeply about their relationship. Why would he have to go through this matter if he didn't?

“Oh, I'm not mad at you, okay? Ilove you. I love you, okay?” Javier. “But please don't lie like that again, okay? It really hurts.”

The warmth spread in Jade's heart. He always knew Javier loved him, probably the most. He told himself that he would never doubt how much he loved her from now on.

Javier drives his new car to the company before leaving Josh to retrieve his original license plate. He went to see Chad himself

“What are you?! We make-we make cars now?! Mr. Kersey, my most esteemed CEO, you can't just do business as if you tick the box off the list! That's a no-no for a very good reason!

Suffice it to say that Javier's suggestion has ignited the Chad axis, as he continues to protest with heat.

“We have just started getting involved in the advertising and movie business, Mr Kersey! We're. Just. It's starting! You can't suddenly say 'well, how about we make a car too?' idly. It smells like a recipe for disaster. You heard me really bad. Besides, do we know anything about cars? Nah! So you want us to go into the market without knowing what we are dealing with? That's a risky bet! Not good, not great, just bad!”

He strongly opposed Javier's plans to expand into the car industry. In fact, he so rejected the suggestion that he put in so much effort and decided to die on this hill. “If you dare to open even one car factory, L...I will stop!”

It was a threat, clear and simple, though not entirely detached from Chad's own selfish interests.

He cares about the company, and it is he who maintains and ensures its survival. Javier couldn't blame him for the explosion.

Calmly, he flicked his cigarette ash. “Sial, for a man your age, you are really full of passion. Full of uncontrollable heat seemed more like it. No wonder you keep picking up women whenever your wife is not around. All that heat has to be channeled somewhere, huh?”

His remarks embarrassed Chad, but that didn't quite stop him from arguing. “That's an irrelevant argument, man. I mean still in effect - no car factory will open under my supervision!

Sure, it doesn't matter if Javier's car business slumps. Chad knows how deep Javier's pockets are, so that loss won't even make a dent. But there is more to a business than just making a profit. For Chad, doing business is like his favorite video game. He liked the avatar he had helped build with Javier, but he would not tolerate his character wearing the hard mithril armor, only for him to wear a bronze pauldron as a kick. What kind of shit is that? He'd rather cut off an entire leg than be paralyzed,

“I didn't say I wanted to build a car factory, man,” Javier started. “How many years will it take me? How much money? I need to get the supply chain, hire personnel, build the damn factory myself. All the problems are small compared to the funds needed for research and development! How many years and decades would I spend on R&D just to bet on an uncertain profit? I'm not that crazy guy.

His confession succeeded in alleviating Chad's dissatisfaction. “OK, so what exactly do you mean? Do you want to buy an existing one?

Javier waved at him. "No. I've been reading about this lately, and I don't think we need to build a factory or buy an existing one. We are not going to get anything significant anytime soon, and that is despite our high funds and efforts. All I want is to research the propulsion system and the plug-in electrical system,” he explained. “Of course, we will not develop anything ourselves. We will only invest funds, buy shares, or even buy patents. Then, we will equip the new car with our own system.

“We do not have to build our own factory for production. We can cooperate with existing local companies by providing supply chain to them. We can give them the technology by buying their shares. We can also..”.

Chad listened intently, his head nodding even more. His attitude has shifted to one of support.

“Sure, it makes a lot more sense. Of course, we may really need to start mass production for our green energy propulsion system in the future, but we can build a factory for it or outsource it to other companies as well. That won't be too big of a problem.” He chimed. “Our country is pushing the green energy market right now, isn't it? And that's not even a national trend - it's global. The world has yet to see the perfect green energy vehicle, so this is a viable plan. That could really work…

“But we need professional market analysts to help us plan and compile reports on how feasible this can be.” He wondered in a loud voice before Javier cut him off with a small laugh.

“Mee me here, Chad, Come on, give me a name for the job. We need a new crazy kid on our team.”

The prospect of a new teammate makes Chad happy. Feeling dizzy, he announced, “Like luck, I was really thinking of a crazy boy. He would be perfect for the role!”
