The Hero
Chapter 60 Let Me Be the Evil One

This notice from Neve immediately provoked Jade's anger. “How disgusting can you lick, Neve?! I'm the one who guaranteed this deal! You don't want it in the shadows—no, you'll just rob me in plain sight! You two think that just because Grandpa is sick, your father can manage the family business no matter how oppressive his attitude is, right? That's why you act like you can do whatever you want!”

The angrier Jade was, the more satisfied Neve was.

“Oh, it's a pity that you were right. Of course, we took this opportunity to smash you under our shoes. And you're almost not over  . We'll teach your mother too. Look, we just want to mess you up until the only way you can survive is by begging in the streets!

“Oh right! Almost forgot. To be honest, I don't really need to come here to tell you this. So why me? I'm stupid. That must be because I can't wait to share this great news with you, so I came here on autopilot! I'm ridiculous!"

Jade's anger bubbled from her chest, causing her veins to burst out on her skin as she clenched her hands. "You ... You're shameless!"

Neve grinned. "I? shameless? Oh, honey, I can be more shameless than this. I'll visit Sky Loft as a representative of Drakon Real Estate and talk about some deals, drafting contracts..just a few things to show everyone my true talent, you know? It has nothing to do with any particular person at all! Ha!"

After saying that, he walked out of the office, his hips swaying like a pendulum as he left. Even as he walked, he could not help but exclaim happily, “Yes Lord above, sometimes I wonder if I am your beloved son! How else should I explain this incredible success? I always ask someone to do my dirty work for me, so I don't have to lift a finger!”

Seeing her lack of shame and burning ego made Jade so angry that she bit her lips hard to draw blood. It was incomprehensible why people would do this kind of thing to their own relatives. How could Matthew and his family lick so low?!

He felt guilty.bitter grief. Holding back tears, he immediately went to Javier to comfort him.

“How can they?! HOW CAN! I was the one who made the deal possible, but Neve was the one who could sign the contract as if he had reached it! What logic is this?!”

Javier has always been the only person Jade thinks is safe enough to lower his guard and helpless. He always felt as if Javier was the only person he could point out his weakness to, although he could not explain the reason. It's just a hunch.

It was as if he did not need to pretend to be strong in front of Javier.

His willingness to demonstrate his vulnerability is, therefore, the reason why Javier's extra protection keeps increasing every time he is exposed to the ordeal. After giving a tissue to the poor and desperate girl, she said, “That's how the world works. The bad guys always win.

wh why? Because the bad guys are always those who don't have to follow the rules or answer their conscience. Good people have too many shackles in comparison, you know. Things like morality, law, ethics, dignity. Too much restraint on the neck of a good person, such as a prisoner.”.

Jade sobbed before wiping away her tears. "If that's the case, I also want to be the bad guy! I want to be so bad that they can't bully me anymore!

"Oh no, that's impossible." She laughs. “You're a good person all the time, so you can't be evil. If anyone can be the bad guy, it's me. I must be very bad , very bad —so I have the strength to protect you. So you're always safe."

These are words that touch and touch the heart. Jade's face, however, began to turn pink. For some reason, she has a disturbing feeling that Javier has expressed his feelings for her ...

And thankfully, her cheeks started to turn red.

When one person cries, the other person laughs, just as good and evil are a pair of different entities  .

At that moment, Neve giggles to herself in her car before calling Matthew, fueled by an intoxicating excitement.

"Ha ha ha! Dad, you should have seen the expression on his face when I told him that I would be the one responsible for signing the contract. He was so happy that he could tremble! Fuck those! I'm sure she's hiding in her safe room, crushed and crying like a child!” Matthew's joy equaled his happiness, even though it wasn't enough to completely dispel the hatred that filled his voice as he growled, “Take him right! Thanks to him, my son's legs are useless now! This isn't enough. The punishment should be heavier!”

“I know, Dad. I knew. Don'worry. Just wait until I'm done signing the contract, and we'll get revenge step by step. They will soon call the streets their home!”

His yellow Ford Mustang slipped on the asphalt. Finally, when the Sky Loft entrance was seen, the car slowed down and stopped.

Neve got off the car with the deal tucked in her hands. He stepped into the building, with a proud and arrogant face, before shouting, “Where is the receptionist around here  ?

Tell Mr. Schumer that a Drakon Real Estate representative has come to make a detailed contract! ”

The receptionist looked at him and waved to the security guard. “Can you kick this crazy woman out of that house? Thank you!"

Neve was worried. "How dare you! I'm Deputy GM of Drakon Real Estate, and this is the agreement your boss signed with me! Do you know how much power the law exerts on this piece of paper  ? ! You wouldn't dare-oww! Ouch, ouch, ouch! Let go of me, boar! Release my hand! Don't touch me!”

The receptionist smiled at Neve as security officers dragged her out. GM Deputy Mr. Schumer has just clarified that the only person from Drakon Real Estate allowed in is Jade Odell. Everyone can smell the dirt outside!

After being pushed out of the building and denied re-entry, Neve struggles with frustration. He never expected to experience something so absurd. In fact, he questioned the validity of the agreement.

He needs to confirm it. Slipping 30 dollars into the hands of the security guards, Neve instructed, "Go take this paper to the receptionist and confirm whether it is genuine or fake."

The guard was more than happy to do it for money. While bagging the paper, he handed it to the receptionist.

A few seconds later, the guard returned. “This is original! Don't worry now, okay?”

Neve had confirmed it was fake and hoped to report it to the authorities. Who knew it would be real?

Condemning, he extended his hand to the guard, who immediately understood.

She held her beautiful and soft hand. “Jeez, Mom. You gave me the money and let me hold your hand for this trivial task? To be honest, I'm starting to feel really bad for you!”

Neve's face was red with anger. He pulled his hand from her and snapped, “I won't let you hold my hand, stupid! I want my deal back, so give it back now!”

The guard pretended to understand now. "Oh, you want that document back, right? Why don't you say that, Mom? I thought you wanted to hold my hand! Uh, I'm not gonna give it back."

All that nonsense....just a ruse before rejection?!

Neve angry. "What the fuck?! On what basis?!”

The guard pointed to the hall through the entrance. Neve followed her fingers and saw a grinning receptionist throw the letter into the shredder.

Neve's distraught. It was an original document, but now, it was just a piece of trash!

In other words, Sky Loft has changed its mind! They have decided to cancel the contract with Drakon Real Estate!

Neve looked ahead in confusion.
