Manny likes to refer to people as dogs as an insult. As when he would call security to expel Javier, he said that he would make sure he was beaten like a dog.
However, right now, he did not care much about that. All his attention was on the photos on Javier's phone. He panicked while looking at them.
"No! Where did you get these pictures? You”
Words slid out of his mouth, but Javier brandished his finger and wiggled it at him to signal for him to be silent.
It was then that Manny remembered what Javier had said earlier, about barking like a dog before he spoke, but he did not care much now as he continued.
“You have photographed these photos. It's slander. I'll call the police for you!"
Javier pulled out his phone and pressed the numbers right in front of Manny the first two tones sounded the same.
Manny panicked.
He would be devastated if Javier really called the police!
Unable to embarrass himself as the hospital director due to the dire situation, he opened his mouth and barked.
Javier happy. “Wow, very aggressive dog. Look, it looks like he's going to tear me apart with that barking. Too scary.”
Manny was furious, but there was nothing he could do. He could only ask with a sharp gaze, "Can I speak now?"
Javier nodded with a light. "of course. It's your right to speak. Even the law can't take it from you.”
It almost choked Manny out of anger.
Javier didn't allow her to speak before—she had to force him to bark like a dog before he could speak. B*the bastard!
Said b*stard, Javier, casually sitting on the table and taking out a cigarette to light it up.
Manny snapped,“This is the hospital. Please take care of your manners!”
Javier throws a lighter at Manny. “Stop with courtesy. I didn't see you talking about manners when kamj had a nurse on his lap, fumbling for him. Come on, light a cigarette for me. Your good master wants to smoke now.”
Manny was already in his sixties, and a man in his twenties called himself a good master!?
However, Manny cannot resist Javier, and can only take a match with a long face to light a cigarette for him.
When Javier smokes in his spare time, he lifts his chin and exhales his smoke.
"Ah, your good master is having fun smoking!"
Manny is desperate to slap Javier, but he doesn't have that much courage even though he's thinking hard. He was more concerned about where the photos came from and where the original evidence was. Just as he was about to ask, Javier spoke up. “Everything you ask for will be useless. You don't have to debate whether this is real or photoshop. You and I both know it. What you should be asking me now is, 'My good master, what
should I do to get all these things back?'”.
Manny's fist turned white due to how hard he gripped her as he received Javier's mocking gaze.
Nonetheless, the years he spent living made him understand that he had to bow down when he did not have the upper hand. His shame has long since disappeared, drying into ashes and blowing in the Sahara Desert, when he steals the hard work of others as his own. So, saying certain things did not pose a challenge to him.
"Good lord, what do I have to do to get all this back?"
He doesn't miss a word, and his tone is acceptable, Javier can feel Manny's uncanny cooperative attitude.
He grunts.
“And here I think you will stand firm. All bluffing in the house was just a charade, huh?”
“Your smile is terrible. Looks like you're constipated.”
Javier's parable is very bad. It almost killed Manny.
But that's the least of Javier's concerns. He's here to make Manny submissive. He did not care whether the latter was in a good mood or not.
Tapping on the screen of his phone that was on the table, he told Manny, “If it wasn't for Luca and his father, it wasn't me talking to you here but the police, the police, so this alone should make you thank the two of them.
"Call them now and say thank you!"
Manny fought to keep it all. He had been the director of the hospital for several years, so his ego and pride grew in him.
Therefore, he attacked. "What do you really want !?"
Javier sneering. “It seems you don't want to call. Its alright. I'll do it instead.”
Javier hit the same three numbers with the same two notes, and that was all that made Manny give up at once.
“I'll call them! I'll do it!"
No matter how reluctant he was, he quickly called. Luca's father answered briefly.
“Sister-in-law, thank you. I understand that you mean well now. Thank you very much. Boss Luca is talking to me right now. Don'worry. I know how much
it's amazing now. I'm really sorry."
Manny hung up the phone without giving the older man a chance to talk. He then put on another constipated smile and asked Javier, "Are you happy now?"
Javier nods. “Yes, very much. We can talk about work now.”
No longer deceiving the pitiful Manny, Javier said, “I've spent a total of 3 million dollars to collect evidence incriminating you. You should return my money for this first. I'm correcting your mistakes for you, so you shouldn't let me spend, shouldn't you?"
3 million dollars! He has asked for 3 million dollars right away. It makes Manny dizzy. Even so, it was nothing compared to being put behind bars.
He nodded with clenched jaws. “Sure, but I can't make so much money instantly. Can you give me two days? I'll sell my house and pay you
immediately." immediately."
Javier flexible. "of course. I have proof anyway. You can pay me anytime. But people say that these evidences are intelligent. They'll grow legs and run to the police after 48 hours. I wonder if it's true.”
Manny quickly spoke up while Javier muttered. "Don't worry. It won't take more than 48 hours. Never was!"
See it? That's attitude. It was much better than when Javier visited the man's house yesterday. If Manny behaved like this yesterday, the problem would be less.
Javier brought up the second thing while flicking cigarette ash.
“Inform about vaccine patent from nine years ago to related department. True, publish a statement about all the medical publications involved as well. How do you trick the girl, who the real inventor is, and all that needs to be written."
Manny disagreed. “You cornered me. I've become successful now, and you forced me up the roof, pulled the stairs, and burned everything, keeping me high and dry. It'll kill me!”
Javier. “Mistaken words. You're the expert here. How can you use your words senselessly?
“Have I forced you to go up to the roof in the first place? No, right? It was your own idea to steal someone else's data as yours back then. This has nothing to do with me, so what you say doesn't apply to me.
“As for killing you. Poupe, don't you think you're the one
who dug your own grave?” Javier's answer left Manny speechless.
