The Hero
Chapter 188 I Did It Intentionally

Old Man Ackerman's sanity didn't last long. In fact, every time he got it back, its duration would get shorter. This time, it lasted less than ten minutes.

Doctors say that there is no way to treat it with respect to this. The situation cannot be treated with outside help or treatment. It was solely due to Old Man Ackerman's mental block that he inflicted on himself. He couldn't endure the pain of his family's death, so his brain had built a safe space within itself from extreme self-protection - a kind of fictional world. In that fictional world, Old Man Ackerman is the God of the Watermelon Tree. He could never feel pain, and he would always be happy.

The doctor said, “From our point of view, indeed, he looks pathetic. But from his point of view, he had achieved happiness. At least, he no longer needs to suffer grief due to the death of his family.”

Before leaving the hospital, Javier paid a large amount of medical expenses to ensure that Old Man Ackerman would get proper treatment and treatment. Although Javier had thought of sending Old Man Ackerman to a more advanced foreign country to treat his mental illness, he decided against it in the end because he agreed with the doctor. Perhaps, not imposing treatment on Old Man Ackerman was a good act to the poor man.

As they drive from the hospital, Javier and Saiorse go to the house that Old Man Ackerman mentioned. Upon arrival at home, they find the door lock exactly as Old Man Ackerman told them. Javier opened the door and picked up the dust-covered package on the floor.

Fortunately, the manuscript was encased in a plastic bag, so it was not damaged by any source of moisture that might be around it. It is also comforting to know that the house itself is not too humid.

After locking the door behind them, Javier and Saiorse return to the car. They sat there for half an hour before they finished reading the script.

The script mentions nothing about mental illness, but tells the story of a motivated and mentally disabled child, very similar to Forrest Gump.

Saiorse did not know why Old Man Ackerman chose to write about this, but he believed that he had reason to do so. However, given his current condition, he could not ask her about it. The script is really well written. Anyone who reads it will love it. However, Javier and Saiorse were not that interested.

Javier said, “I still want to film the story of Old Man Ackerman. I am eager to share the family traditions and culture of our country with the rest of the world. The real-life story of Old Man Ackerman really touched me. And I believe the story will depict it in a perfect way.”

Saiorse nodded solemnly.

"I think so too. We should keep this script here for future movies. The Osborns have seen the story of Forrest Gump, but they have never seen the story of someone like Old Man Ackerman. She deserves to be remembered in this world forever.”

They both agree and quickly decide to use Ackerman's Old Man's true story for a script they will hand over to the Osborn family.

However, they face the immediate challenge of finding a famous screenwriter who can turn Old Man Ackerman's story into an extraordinary script.

In an overall perspective, women may not be as good as men, but in terms of writing about human nature and feelings, both are more inclined towards female screenwriters. However, they are definitely not looking for the type of screenwriter who writes a dramatic, frivolous love story. They both agreed that such a screenwriter was useless.

“Don't worry, I have a screenwriter friend. Although she is not an A-list screenwriter, she always insists on writing touching stories that can touch the hearts and souls of viewers. In addition, every character in the story is trustworthy, relatable, and soulful.

“I once advised him to give up on screenwriting and try writing business scripts, but he didn't even bother to do that. I thought it was a good thing he turned me down at the time. Otherwise, I really wouldn't know who to look for today. ”

After Saiorse finished speaking, he pulled out his phone and made a call to make an appointment for the night as well.

When the call ended, Saiorse said to Javier, “He's already had dinner outside, so let's find a place to eat first. After we finish eating, I'll see him. In the meantime, you should look for something else to do. He never had a meeting with a man when discussing the issue of scriptwriting.”

Undeniably, it is a pretty strange habit. However, it is not uncommon for people with real caliber and skills to have strange habits. Of course, it is reminiscent of certain female celebrities who like to eat nails. They both continued on to a nearby hotel.

On the way, Saiorse shared a bit of knowledge about filmmaking with Javier.

“Different directors have different scripts for movies. Actors are versatile and can take on different roles in different movies, but I have never seen a director who could take on a very different genre. I have seen several directors whose careers ended after trying to move on to different genres. Therefore, we must find a director who is good at capturing the essence of human emotions and souls.”

What Saiorse said made sense.

They need to find a suitable director for the film, but who can fulfill this task?

Suddenly, with the charisma of a top movie star, Saiorse said, “Don't worry, leave it to me. I'll find a good director.”

It seemed like there was nothing more Javier could do to contribute to the production of the film, especially when Saiorse boldly said, “From now on, there are only two things you have to do. One is to invest your money, and the other is to collect profits.

How domineering. Not many people in the film industry would dare to speak like this. There was once a famous director who said something similar in public. Then, box revenue

his office was so bad that he openly criticized the audience. He blamed the quality of the audience and that they could not understand the high-level art depicted in his film. It was a shameless thing to do, considering he wouldn't have a job accidentally!

So, when he meets Javier, who happens to be at an age where someone is constantly filled with arrogance, the director mysteriously loses all the filming opportunities.

'Hmph! You think you're all that, huh? Since you are sure that audiences from abroad have higher standards and will appreciate your work more, go ahead and look for them! Let's see if they acknowledge your work!'

As they talked about what happened back then, Saiorse also smiled. “You are truly in character! Even before they had the chance to meet you, you already beat them up!”

Javier became even more excited as he chatted. He excitedly swung his hand as they sat at the table.

“No, I just used my influence to get things done!”

In his excitement, he hit the chopsticks that were in Saiorse's hands. They flew out and hit Saiorse's chest. Looking down at the place where his clothes were now dirty, Saiorse groaned in pain.

The moaning is like in the movie, unknowingly making Javier blush.

“Javy, are you looking for a beating? How dare you take advantage of your aunt!?”

Javier feels very awkward. “I didn't do this on purpose.”

Saiorse replied after hearing this, "If not this, then what are you doing on purpose?"

Javier begged for forgiveness repeatedly, but Saiorse did not let the matter pass. To make matters "worse" for her, she is beautiful and has a good figure.

His groans just a moment ago had caused Javier's heart to swell.

Therefore, he could not help himself.

He reached out and raised Saiorse's chin. Then, he pressed his finger against his red lips. He felt a jolt of electricity flow through him. He has lived for 32 years. No one else has ever made him feel this way but Javier.

"Well, Auntie, this is .. on purpose." His words left Saiorse embarrassed and frustrated at the same time.

"Are you deliberately flirting with your aunt?"

Javier then decided to push further. Still clasping Saiorse's chin, he got up, leaned forward, and kissed Saiorse's red lips. Then, he stuck out his tongue.

When Saiorse sensed Javier's tongue attacking him, his face flushed with embarrassment, and he quickly struggled to retreat.

After escaping Javier's clutches, he blushed and reprimanded him, “Javier Kersey! I am your mother's sister! Your aunt!”

Javier's getting sassy. "All right, Auntie, but I still want you!"

The mental defense that Saiorse installed around him was destroyed by a single sentence from Javier, leaving his heart in an unbelievable mess.
