Chapter 69 Diamond Exhibition

Javier meets Odello Corp's "most loyal servant" in Viktor's office.

“There are rumors out there that you are a confidant near Jade and you two live under the same roof. Is that true?"

Javier just stared at Victor in silence when asked, wanting to see what Victor was playing.

However, Victor clearly did not need Javier to answer. He went on to say, “Don't worry, I've never seen someone's family background. What worries me more is how capable they are and how ambitious they are. As I see it, you yourself are not too bad ... "

After saying that, Victor once again expressed his displeasure at Zayn and how much he admired Javier.

“I have watched Jade grow as a child as a longtime partner of the previous chairman, so I see her as my own granddaughter. I won't let him be with Zayn Dunham, who is obviously a wolf in sheep's clothing. I hope his future partner is a good young man like you!

"I'm sure you understand what I mean, don't you?"

Javier nodded his head. “Yes, Mr. Dowding, I understand. I will compete with Zayn and make sure he does not get a chance to get close to Jade!”

Victor happily nodded and opened the drawer. He then takes out the credit card he gave Javier.

“Take this card and make yourself look better. I'd like you to accompany Jade more as well. Take her shopping, have lunch, even take her to the movies. Whatever you both want. After all, women are meant to be loved and accompanied. Go now!"

After several times refusing to take Victor's credit card, Victor pushes him into Javier's hands, leaving him with no choice but to keep it.

After Javier leaves, a mocking smile appears on Victor's face.

'I'm sure you'll leave after the 26% Jade I've mastered. Right, Zayn? 'It will be a wasted journey for you. Now I have someone to watch over him, so you won't have a chance!

While Victor is feeling a little happy with the little plan he just made, Javier has already left the company building.

Javier didn't bother to comment about Victor. Instead, he went straight to the nearest ATM to find out the amount of money on the card.

Surprisingly, Victor actually gave Javier a credit card with a limit of 150,000 dollars.

Javier pulled out his phone and dialed the number. "It's me. Ask the bank to adjust the credit limit on my credit card. Make it unlimited. ”

After hanging up the phone, Javier again checked the credit card limit and immediately felt better.

Right after she puts the card in her pocket, she receives a call from Jade, who tells her that Zayn has just invited her to dinner.

“Of course, you have to go. Why don't you go when there's free food involved? Take me with you, I'm starving!”

'Victor is already very generous, so Zayn should at least do the same, right?

'  After all, I was only given a credit card with no credit limit, so I had to go back to the luxurious life I used to live tonight!

After work that night, Javier picks up Jade and the two of them rush to the restaurant where Zayn has booked the table.

'I hate to admit it, but Zayn really has a way of seducing women.

“This was supposed to be a simple and casual dinner, but she managed to make the whole private room look like a flower party!'

Fresh flowers of various colors are scattered all over the floor, making the entire private space look very romantic.

'I believe any ordinary woman would be so touched that she would cry now.'

However, Jade was no ordinary woman. After all, he wasn't alone there that night. When Javier entered, the sweet smile that was originally plastered on Zayn's face disappeared. "What are you doing here?!"

Although she was unhappy, Zayn had no choice but to put a smile on her face, because she wanted to touch Jade. "of course! Please sit!"

After saying that, Zayn only mentioned that he wanted to invite Jade to collaborate with Matthew but was rejected outright.

"I never talk about work after I leave the office, so how about you go there later if there's something you want to talk about?"

After dinner, Javier tells Jade, “Ms. Odell, the jewelry show you want to see opens tonight. I'm sure it's almost time, so should we go there now?”

Zayn quickly cut in before Jade could say anything.

"Do you want to see the jewelry, Jade? You should have told me earlier! My family company is hosting this event!”

As he spoke, Zayn headed to his Ferrari and opened the door to the passenger seat. "That's our family jewel on display tonight. Come on, I'll take you there. I guarantee you won't be late!”

Jade simply smiled and thanked Zayn at his invitation.

“Yeah, thank you please take the lead first, sir. Dunham.”

After saying that, Jade returned to her Mercedes Benz, leaving Zayn standing beside her Ferrari with the front passenger door open and her face filled with shame.

Javier chuckles. "You're gonna lead the way, aren't you, my dearest former schoolmate?"

Zayn's expression turned cold, and he closed the door of his car, almost damaging it.

'You bastard, can you call me your former schoolmate? I will humiliate you someday!

Back in his car, Zayn drives his Ferrari to a jewelry show, while Javier follows with Jade in his car.

While it was , Jade curiously asked, “When did I say I wanted to see the jewelry? Why are we there now  ?"

“We will go there for the show. I heard that there will be a show. Everyone will try to make themselves look good, so this will be interesting to watch.”

Javier's answer made Jade even more curious. 'Why would they want to do it? do they look good? Then again, is someone really willing to embarrass themselves?

However, Javier did not satisfy the curiosity.

After following the Ferrari in front of them, they finally arrived at the exhibition center.

The jewelry on display that night was completely out of this part of the world. All of the diamonds have been worn by international celebrities at previous events. In other words, this section has been advertised.

For example, there is a pair of emerald earrings made in Colombia that Angelina Jolie had worn in 2009. The emerald weighs 115 carats and costs 2.5 million dollars. There is also a stunning Neil Lane carved stone crystal necklace that covers 100 carats of diamonds and costs 2 million dollars. The necklace was worn by Jennifer Lawrence in 2014…

Overall, the jewelry on display that night was precious and beautiful, so much so that Jade, who had never liked jewelry, was very interested in it.

However, Javier doesn't care about any of this because all he cares about is this special event.

Finally Zayn spoke up and this mysterious event officially began. Zayn flatteredly said, “Do you like that, Jade? If you do, I'll give it to you!"
