What the doctor meant was clear. He's already collected a DNA sample of Marjorie's first love.
A few minutes later, Sigmund returned. He was surprised to see Javier but greeted him with a headband, “Javier.”
Javier studied Sigmund briefly, seeing the boy change during his time in Xerxes Village. He became fitter, darker, and clearer in the way he dressed. He looked even better and more alert, no longer as arrogant and brash as he once was.
This is his growth. Javier would love to see such growth if Marjorie didn't lie.
“I brought a doctor to do a body checkup for you. It will be fast.”
Marjorie doesn't know what Javier wants to do, but she doesn't dare to say anything or do anything. He could only follow what the man wanted. “Sig, listen to Javier. Do what he asks. He won't hurt you.”
Sigmund makes a "oh" sound and goes with the doctor. She thought her mother was talking to her-well, maybe 30% because Marjorie means 70% of what she told Javier. Javier knows that Marjorie showed her sincerity in this way, but sincerity speaks through facts and reality, so she sits outside and waits for the results of the DNA comparison.
Marjorie waited for him and her son to live and die as well.
While Javier sat holding the DNA comparison results, Marjorie held Sigmund's hand very nervously.
"Mom, what did Javier see?"
"Bagan N-nutrient, I guess."
Marjorie doesn't know what Javier wants to do, but she does know that what Javier is holding isn't a nutrition chart at all. He fabricated it so that Sigmund would not know it and become worried or fearful.
Javier goes to the doctor in charge of holding the results sheet and tells him, "Replace the name."
Marjorie is very worried that something will happen when she sees Javier and the doctor talking to each other from a distance.
He doesn't hate Javier because he deserves what has happened, but that doesn't stop his fear. He also feared it would involve his son.
Javier finally got a new comparison from the doctor two minutes later and handed it to Herschel for safekeeping.
Both DNA samples matched. Sigmund was not a Kersey, but a drowning boy. This meant that what Marjorie said earlier was the truth.
Confirming that William was the culprit, Javier is furious and impressed that the man could actually pull off an act. William looked like a fool, but he was actually very sharp. Not only does he see through Arthur, who is pretending to be missing, but he also sees how big of a threat Javier is.
“Using me to fight Arthur while you reap the benefits of the side. Very clever!"
Javier approaches the mother and child nonchalantly as he uncovers his enemy and seeks a solution
He nodded at Marjorie and told Sigmund, “Whether you are a Kersey or not, I will not let you go to waste when you still respect me as your elder. Stay here and train yourself. I'll get you out in two years.
“Thank you, Javier.”
Sigmund has changed. He has grown wise and knows how to remain humble. That nice. The phrase about owning a weapon but not flaunting it makes sense.
Javier leaves with his men, making Marjorie let out a long sigh of relief when she did nothing to him and Sigmund.
He told his son, “Listen to Javier well in the future. He'll treat you well. Never offend him. As long as you stay on his good side, he will always be kind to you. Youunderstand?"
Sigmund understood.
One night three days later, Marjorie was taking a bath in her room.
Xerxes Village is like no other place with bathrooms and baths. One can only take a shower in their bedroom.
Even so, Marjorie had ignored him now. He was already happy to be able to live in peace and his son could have a bright future. As for the wealth and glory of the past, he treated it as a dream.
While people say that it is easy to go from frugal to lavish and difficult when otherwise, Marjorie is honestly impressed to have adapted to her situation.
As he washed his incredible figure in silence, a loud explosion came from outside, sounding like something was hitting the ground. There seemed to be a groan of pain after that, but it became silent as he listened carefully.
Marjorie did not care, thinking her son was outside. He thought he was doing something there and hit his finger.
“Sig, careful. You're older now. Stop hurting yourself, ”yell Marjorie but get no response. He didn't mind and kept taking a shower.
The next moment, he heard footsteps coming into his room.
“Sig, mom is taking a shower. Don't go in first-Ah!”
Before he could finish his sentence, the door of his room was pushed open, and a man standing there chuckled.
Marjorie knew the man. It was Hector, the village bachelor. He was already in his forties but had no wife because he was poor. He usually looks humble, being embarrassed even when greeting, but here he barged into Marjorie's room tonight.
Marjorie was naked, covering herself with her hands as she screeched in fear as Hector barged in. He instinctively wanted to shout for Sigmund to save him, but that was when he saw the glittering knife in Hector's hand and swallowed the "help" about to leave his lips.
He dared not shout, afraid that Hector would hurt Sigmund, so he asked tremblingly, "W-what do you want, Hector?"
Hector's eyes were filled with lust. He looked at Marjorie's body greedily and walked towards her while holding a knife.
Marjorie is afraid of the knife in Hector's hand and what the man will do to her. Even so, he did not dare to cry out for help, worried that the man would injure Sigmund.
He ventured to tell the man, "Hector, if you contact me, you will be imprisoned for at least three years!"
Hector was not afraid at all despite the threat from Marjorie. He still walked forward and cornered the woman. The latter tried to beg, but it was useless. This made him very scared.
However, in order to protect Sigmund, he eventually relented. “I am willing to do it with you, but you must not hurt my son and remain silent. Don't let him hear us..”.
Marjorie felt extremely humiliated and cheesy as she spoke. He has no other solution. Even if he hated Hector, he did not dare to let Sigmund hear him, fearing he would be threatened.
Hector nodded after his plea, meaning he would not hurt Sigmund. Marjorie's hand that covered her body slowly loosened…
It didn't last long. Maybe this was the first time for Hector, or maybe it was just him that ended quickly. It only made Marjorie even more disgusted when she was already repulsed because she saw Arthur's shadow through Hector. Both are the same, look aggressive but are actually useless.
Hector looked a little embarrassed, leaving in a hurry after pulling his pants and taking his knife.
Marjorie assumed that she left in a hurry because she was ashamed to see her. He did not care much now, dressed in a hurry and would check on Sigmund in the next room.
He wished Sigmund was there and unharmed by Hector, but he was surprised that the boy was not in the room. Marjorie felt her heart thump as she recalled the faint groan of pain she heard after something fell to the ground earlier. He ran out of the room and came into the courtyard before collapsing on the ground.
