The Hero
Chapter 259 The Most Sloppy People in History

Javier sits on his office couch with his legs crossed. As he smoked his cigarette, he thought about how he should deal with William.

He had already gotten an idea but thought it wasn't quite right, so he wanted to get an even better idea.

However, this better idea he wanted was not easy to realize. Javier can't fight William openly and he also can't do something as silly as renting a hired gun to kill William, which will only make the old fox sad. In addition, he wants William to bear the full price for what he has done, which is why this makes Javier so dizzy.

Therefore, after pondering for a moment, Javier wondered if he should use the idea he had back then because he could not think of anything else.

At that moment, his phone rang.

Javier pulls out his phone, where Thomas's name is shown on the screen.

Surprised, Javier has no idea why Thomas called him.

When Javier answered the call, he chuckled and asked, "Is there a problem, Chief?"

Before Javier finished saying the last word of his sentence, Thomas sounded very anxious as he said, “Javier, I'm really sorry about this. The mother and son you sent here have been killed!”

"What!?"

Javier immediately stood up, his eyes filled with disbelief.

'I just promised Sigmund that I would give him a decent future when I was in Xerxes Village three days ago, but he and Marjorie ended up being killed!?

Javier once again rushes to Xerxes Village, intending to uncover their murder.

On the way, he made use of his connections with the local police and found out more about the case.

The killer is a local bachelor named Hector, who has been arrested.

After an initial investigation, the police discover that Hector has killed them both out of lust, while the murder weapon is a knife.

However, Javier refuses to believe that someone who is enveloped by lust will end up carrying a knife on him.

The next day, Javier finds out more about what happened when he arrived at Xerxes Village the next day.

According to the villagers, Sigmund had been stabbed more than 10 times, the deepest wound being on his neck, which also killed him.

On the other hand, Marjorie shouted, "My son's death will be paid for with your blood," as she stormed from her house to Hector's.

In the end, he died with the same knife. Hector may have killed him after he finished r*ping, but it was still a murder case in the end.

However, they later hear from the police that Hector only killed Sigmund, not Marjorie.

Originally, Hector had intended to kill after he was done with it. However, he could not force himself to do so, so he fled.

Police also said Hector had managed to escape when Marjorie died.

As for the knife that had killed Marjorie, Hector stated that he had thrown her to the side of the road amid his shock. Still, he wasn't sure why his knife ended up being impaled on Marjorie's chest. In addition, the part where Hector carried the knife was actually because he had stolen it from Sigmund, where police found the last fingerprint on the knife.

This means Hector wasn't sent by someone to kill his mother and son. Rather, it was really because he was enveloped by lust.

Moreover, Marjorie's death had nothing to do with him.

With his own words.. “After all I'm dead, so there's no reason not to admit murder if it's really me, but it's not!”

Sigmund's death was Hector's. When Sigmund notices that Hector is climbing into his house through a wall, he takes his knife with the intent to fight him.

Unfortunately, he was too weak to be able to fight against that ferocious beast. In the end, Hector had taken Sigmund's knife and viciously stabbed Sigmund more than 10 times after being agitated during their struggle. When Hector discovers that Sigmund is still breathing, he cuts his neck to finish him off.

Hector eventually failed to escape and was arrested by the police. However, she later learns that Marjorie has also been killed with the same knife she used.

Javier felt very angry after understanding everything that had happened.

He didn't know if William or Arthur were the ones who arranged it all, but he knew for sure that none of them were holy.

Therefore, he temporarily delayed his revenge plan, instead focusing entirely on the problem at hand.

The bodies of Marjorie and Sigmund were cremated and buried in the local cemetery a week later.

Although it was a poor village, Xerxes Village had many rules and did not allow outsiders to be buried there at first.

However, since Javier had set it up and they had died in their village, the villagers could not help but sympathize with Marjorie and Sigmund. No one objected to the process. Thomas even said he would pray for them on the anniversary of their death.

Thomas still felt pity as he stood beside Javier. “I'm sorry, Javier. You have been so good to the village, yet I have even failed to take care of these miserable people as you requested.”.

Javier comforts Thomas when he sees guilt on the old man's face, not blaming him for anything that has happened.

'To be more precise, I was the one who caused their deaths. It has nothing to do with where they are.

'It doesn't matter if I put them somewhere else. They will still die in the end. That night, it happens that Hector becomes lustful, causing Sigmund to die. Who knows. There may be a possibility that the real culprit also intends to kill Sigmund.'

After sending Thomas away, Javier sat in front of their grave all night.

Although the night wind was a little cold, Javier did not seem to feel the slightest fear as the place was barren and filled with tombstones.

At that moment, he was filled with guilt. No matter how conflicted they were when they were alive, it was all just the past at that moment.

Marjorie and Sigmund have made major changes in their characters, but they eventually lose their lives due to the battle of Kerseys.

Javier never thought that his family's quarrel would end so horribly.

He was very confident in the past that the "war of the eight princes" would never take place inside Kersey and he would never resort to such tactics. However, in order to protect those close to him, Javier now thinks that nothing is impossible and he must be ruthless with his methods.

'If I had to choose between my family, my women, and my friends, against William and Arthur, I'd rather they both go to hell sooner!

“Of course, this is just a choice I will make when I have no other method to choose from, which is still a very long way off for now.

'Besides, if I made such a decision, the old fox would be the saddest.

“Despite which side ended up winning, he would still feel the pain of losing the other party.

The next morning, Javier wiped his face and said to Marjorie, “I don't know who killed you, but now I'm thinking about how you never liked William and Arthur, I'll borrow you two this once!”

Afterwards, Javier leaves the cemetery and gets into his car before leaning back in his chair.

He then gestured for Herschel to drive.

During the trip out of Xerxes Village, Herschel asked, “Are we going home now?”

Javier replied, “No. Have the DNA report I gave you next time put in the file and send me to the airport.”

Herschel understands and tries his best to drive smoothly while driving quickly along with his GPS. They then headed to the nearest airport.

Herschel knew that his boss, a man who never wanted to strike first in front of others, would counterattack!
