The Hero
Chapter 412 What He Is Like

Donald was still shouting, so Doug rushed up to him again furiously. This time, before he could get close to Donald, the man rushed over and ran towards the door.

It was obvious that Donald was still afraid of being beaten but he raised his voice and again insulted those standing at the lobby door. Until Doug was ready to step on her once more, he ran away in a panic,

One can only commit physical violence with a useless Donald. Hit and be softer and it won't even be effective!

After Donald escaped, the crowd in the lobby finally dispersed.

Those who were familiar with Mikaela kindly went to comfort her, persuading her not to get angry and that Donald was a cum like that.

Mikaela could only smile trying to calm him down. No one would remain in a good mood after being insulted and scolded in public.

Someone has their pride and honor — he doesn't even know how he has to face his co-workers now when Donald just humiliated him in front of everyone, he felt everyone's gaze on him now mock.

That's when Doug approached her. "Md. Holmes, are you okay?”

Thinking that Doug had just defended her, Mikaela could only force a smile no matter how grim she felt.

"Leigh, I'm fine. Thank you for what you did just now.”

Doug waved his hand. “No, no, don't worry. As long as you're okay. Enough... call me Doug from now on.”

Mikaela couldn't help but think too much about what Doug said. After all, it seemed closer than getting acquainted.

Because of Donald's slander just now, he really didn't want to get too close to Doug.

He forced another smile and turned to leave. Right now, he only wanted to return to the medical storage room, no longer wanting to see anyone, hear words of consolation or pay attention to mocking gazes.

Back at the warehouse, Mikaela looked inside and did not see Javier. He may have left. He was disappointed by it.

He doesn't want to meet anyone, but that doesn't include Javier. She hopes someone listens to her vent, a hug for her to lean on that gives her true warmth.

There aren't.

The person he most wanted to meet was not here. Mikaela bowed on the table and could not help but cry sadly.

Simultaneously, Javier sat in Oliver's office. To be exact, he had trapped the old man in his own office.

“Javier, move. Don't stop me. I'm going down now to teach that lesson!”

Oliver has heard from others about his daughter being harassed by Donald downstairs. As a father, his anger was unstoppable.

Even so, Javier blocked his path. “Oliver, can you calm down. Sit down!"

Forcing Oliver to sit down, Javier then told him, “Officially, you are the director of the hospital. What you should consider is the effect this event has on the hospital. Personally, you are Mikaela's father. It's already happened. What you should consider is not defeating Donald on how to minimize the damage done to your daughter as much as you can."

Oliver is furious but no matter how angry he is, he has to admit that what Javier says is what he has to do the most.

“But I can't help myself. B*the bastard. How could he humiliate my daughter like this? Even when they get divorced. The house was given to him, they had gone through a divorce, the boy Mikaela had taken, all their assets were handed to him - what more does he want?!”

As a father, of course Oliver was furious when his daughter was molested.

Javier understands it and expects it, so he tells Oliver, “Don't worry. I've sent Herschel to take care of this. We will come back with results that will make you happy as soon as possible.”

Oliver spends some of his time discussing this with Javier in his office, hoping to find a viable solution to help clear his daughter's name…

During the day, Mikaela wiped her tears in the medicine storage room and got ready to leave the hospital. He's been considering it. There's no way he can continue working here. Once he thought of the ridiculing gazes from others, he could not accept it.

That's when the door was pushed open and Oliver came in. Seeing Oliver, Mikaela fretted because she was worried and angry, so she immediately woke up.

"Dad."

Oliver waved, not giving Mikaela a chance to continue speaking.

"alright. Let the divorce go, you better get divorced. I've been pissed off about that shit for a long time. Come back with Renna and stay with me. I'll protect you. I'm not gonna let another man molest you anymore."

The person who cared about him the most and cared about him the most was ultimately his father. No one can dispute it, not even Javier.

Javier doesn't even dare to show himself when something happens to him. He is completely unreliable! Oliver then stepped forward and sat Mikaela down.

“Mikaela, I've heard about what happened today. What's your plan?"

Mikaela shook her head at what was mentioned. “I don't know specifically but I've thought of one thing. I'll resign.”

Oliver nodded, “As I expected, I want to let you resign as well. This way, you do not need to listen to the gossip of others and accept their evil guesses.

“But Javier just told me that this is not going to work. We absolutely cannot do this.”

"Javier"

Mikaela was a little surprised. He honestly thinks that Javier has gone into hiding and doesn't dare to show himself.

Oliver nodded. “Mn, he's Javier. He came to the office to hold me there when the incident just happened. I know he's afraid I'm angry, that's why he stopped me at the office.”

Awareness strikes Mikaela that she has misunderstood Javier. She really did not expect her father to see her insulted because she would feel that she had burdened her father.

Therefore, he is very grateful to Javier who stopped Oliver in his office.

Oliver kept talking, “Javier told me in the office that you absolutely should not resign. If you do not resign and face this head-on, there is no easy way out in a short period of time but the rumors will disappear after a while.

“But if you resign, everyone will say that you left because you were exposed. So even when you have left this place and gone elsewhere, rumors and gossip will follow you and you will never regain peace wherever you go."

Mikaela thought. What Oliver said - what Javier said that Oliver had delivered, to be accurate - made perfect sense.

“But I..."

Oliver waving, “Nothing but. Jaiver sent someone to look after Donald. He has already completed the aftermath and is working to clear your name.

"Huh, it's so troublesome for Javier that he has to worry about my business because I'm the director of the hospital!"

Mikaela felt warm hearing how Javier secretly did it for her.

When he heard Oliver claim that Javier did this just because he was the hospital director, it made him jealous, grumbling inwardly, 'What do you mean because of you? It's because of me, okay!'
