Bab108 It's Exorbitant!

Javier, Jade, and Edelgard went shopping when they arrived at Xerxes Village and then felt a little tired.

Most affected is Javier, who can't even close his eyes all night, while Jade manages to take a nap in the car.

After Javier gets out of bed, he walks into the courtyard and realizes that the slum in front of him is the village hall!

Javier looked at the damaged houses and reots and felt nothing but concern for the villagers ...

'If a great storm were to befall this place someday, wouldn't all the villagers be slaughtered?!'

At that moment, the village chief, Thomas Bloom, appeared.

Thomas has been honorably discharged from the army and has returned to the village, vowing to help the Xerxes Village out of poverty and make it prosperous.

However, he did not seem to have succeeded in realizing his dream.

The problem was not that Thomas was not trying his best, but the natural environment of Xerxes Village was unsightly…

“Javier, you're awake! Come here, the kitchen prepares something for you to eat. I was just coming to pick you up!”

So, Javier smokes the cigarette even though his throat is burning and contemplates how he will help Thomas.

On the way, Javier smiles, listening to Thomas tell him how he managed to eliminate his past enemies, but he actually feels different inside.

Jade and Edelgard had already set the table when Javier and Thomas arrived, while Luca was sitting like a king.

Thomas's face was filled with shame as he let out a dry laugh.

Next to him, Edelgard frowned and said, “You are free to go if you do not like the food we serve. Did your parents ever teach you manners?

“Also, do you know what you brought here that was worth 15,000 dollars? 20 sets of suits! So tell me, how do you think those fancy clothes will help them? Do you always act without thinking, Luca?”

Luca clearly felt a little embarrassed after hearing the criticism of Edelgard.

She muttered and said, “I happened to be buying some clothes at the mall when I found out that you were coming here, so I casually picked out some items and rushed over. We have not been in contact with each other for two months.”

“What's..”

Edelgard was just about to scold Luca further when Thomas hurriedly stopped him.

He smiled and said, “Let's all calm down. Sorry my chef hasn't cooked anything you like. It's my fault for not making better arrangements. Also, the suit you gave us is useful for us. I'll wear it at the meeting later, haha.”

and prepare pork for you tonight.”

Luca was about to mutter something when Javier suddenly grabbed his head and slammed it against the table, almost destroying the sturdy wood.

After stopping Thomas from advancing, Javier looked at Luca and said, "Tell me one more word and I'll chop off your head!"

Luca, who was furious, was about to say something but turned cowardly when he saw the anger in Javier's eyes.

'I didn't bring my subordinates, or there's no way I'll give up like this!'

After Javier tells Thomas not to pay attention to Luca, he continues to criticize the latter. “Does the son of the owner of Easton Group behave like this? Can't you survive a day without meat? Can't you see what Xerxes Village has experienced? Do you think it's a nice vacation?”
