Chapter 231 A Great Honor

“Then keep an eye on. Better safe than sorry."

Javier furrowed his brows, not knowing if the person mentioned Ingrid was after him. If that's the case, who sent that guy?

The question remains unanswered. Of course it was missed because Ingrid couldn't catch the guy. The latter just wandered under their building. There was no reason for Ingrid to catch them, so this could only be a mystery for now.

Finally, Javier invites Ingrid to the island over and over again, stating that they can ask someone to examine their place in detail when they return, but the woman still refuses.

Seeing him firmly with his decision, Javier said nothing more.

“Ing, I have nothing else to say. Let me know if there is anything I can help.”

Ingrid spoke with a pervert. “I think there's something you can definitely help.” Javier waved his hand quickly. “Eh, Ing, I have something to do. I'll head upstairs!” Ingrid chuckles. He's just kidding. He always thought of Javier as his younger brother. How could he think of it that way? Moreover, if he did have that wish, he would only need to clutch it forcefully. There had yet to be a man she failed to have once she looked at him….

Back in the bedroom, Javier waits for Jade to finish her bath. The two make out for a while before Javier tells Jade about coming home for the holidays. He was quite happy but he hesitated when it was mentioned;

“Darling, maybe I shouldn't have come? It's inappropriate for me to spend the holidays with you before we ensure our relationship.”

Javier understands what Jade means. He was worried that his family was too big and rich and he did not deserve it. Aside from being no match for her, she might also worry about being hated and looked down upon by the rest of her family

Wrapping Jade in his arms, Javier persuaded her. “How is it possible? It's not like that. Me here. No one can bully you with me around you is my woman. Besides, you need to get to know my family. Grandpa also likes you very much.”

Javier's comfort and persuasion, especially when he called her his woman, gave Jade a lot of courage. He has found the answer now. As long as Javier was by his side, there was no problem at all. He nodded then, curled into Javier's embrace like a bird in his nest.

Just on Javier's side, Jade felt the greatest warmth and sense of security…

Day after day passed, they were getting closer to the new year. The company is on holiday, but even before that, Javier has asked Lloyd and his girlfriend, Carmen, to come.

Lloyd doesn't understand why Javier called them and protested on the phone. "I'm going on vacation abroad with my boyfriend!"

Javier replied, “Oh, that's a good choice. Enjoy your holiday. Right, if you go back and realize that your position as general manager has been lost, don't come to me. You may have taken him on a trip abroad. Maybe he doesn't want to come back.”

Lloyd protested even harder, “You threatened me. It's a day off, and you're not giving me a break. This is an exploit!”

Javier thought about it and replied seriously, "You're right."

He admitted it, indirectly meaning, "I'm exploiting you, so don't come if you can!"

Can Lloyd do that? He can, he can, but he doesn't dare. He was truly afraid that his precious position as general manager would go on vacation with him and stay there forever.

That said, Javier is not so interested in his friends' women. He can stay in line in many situations. What happened to Dana was unexpected. He thinks that help is help and he should help if he can…

Lloyd wasn't the only one Javier— threatened he also threatened Chad. The latter attracts a long and bitter grin.

"Trs. Kersey, I haven't seen my wife and daughter in almost half a year. Let me go back and spend the holidays with them! I called my son earlier, and you know what he asked his mother? He said, 'Mom, who is this uncle?'

“That's my biological son, Mr. Kersey. There is only one new year in 365 days. Please, let me and my family reunite!”

Javier replied, "Sure, tell them to fly."

Chad speechless. It's not the reunion he wants—he wants to go home, but Javier doesn't allow it. "Either fly them here for a vacation or buy a one-way return ticket."

A one-way ticket certainly means Chad won't have to come back again once he gets home, but what does Chad dream of? He just wants the McCool family to rely on giant trees like the Kersey family. If he were to return with a one-way ticket now, the greatest wish of his life would be shattered.

Helpless, Chad can only succumb to the threat and fly his wife and son. However, when she saw that Mary Jane could not leave either, she was immediately comforted.

"Geez, Ms. Gould, Mr. Kersey kept you here for work, too?"

Chad felt much better when he opened the door and saw Mary Jane watching the series in the office. However, the latter looked at him as if he was looking at a fool.

“Are you really stupid, or are you pretending? To hold me to work? Javier gave you a year-end bonus! You look pretty smart usually. Why are you so stupid now?

Mary Jane muttered before returning to the series.

Chad's frozen. He was so impatient to go home that he completely ignored this. Now that Mary Jane had shown it out loud, her mind had become clear and excitement was coloring her face.

"Trs. Kersey preparing us to go home for the holidays?!”

“Duh. Why else would he make you fly your wife and son for the holidays? Does he have a lot of time?”

Mary Jane's confirmation just got Chad even more excited. He was already in his forties but he was jumping around in the office like a child, even swinging his fists and punching the air just to vent the indescribable ecstasy he felt.

He was eventually recognized by Javier. The latter finally recognized him as a follower. This will be the first time Chad has stepped on the territory of the Kersey family.

Anyone who could set foot there was a rich man or noble. There are a lot of great players who are not even qualified to go there.

He doesn't intend to sound like a loser, but Chad feels being able to set foot in the Kersey region itself is a huge honor!
