Chapter 145 The Worrying Woman

Javier's phone rang just as he left Mary Jane's office.

“MacDonald old has a vexation.”.

The familiar ringtone had not rang for many years, but now that it had rotated so suddenly, it felt familiar and gentle. Even so, the old Grandpa's tone of voice did not show any liking when Javier answered the call.

“You boy, very good! Do you think money comes from a windfall? You spent 10 billion dollars just like that. You don't feel squashed because it's not the money you spend, do you?”

Javier speechless. He knew that the old fox would not call him for no reason, so he replied, “This is only 10 billion dollars, right? Grandfather doesn't even know how much Grandpa has made, yet you care about these 10 billion dollars? Did grandfather only understand the true meaning of being miserly at this age?

The old man fell silent after hearing his reply, taking a few seconds before he replied, “Tell me. What kind of big plan are you planning now? ”

Javier explained halfheartedly, "Someone mocked me for being poor and I was grumpy, so I planned to roll the cash into a stick and beat him to death!"

The old fox snorted. “You have a pretty expensive temperament, don't you? The stick must be big, huh?”

Javier replied, “It's okay. I just don't know if it'll make waves. I will give him 20 billion if not and give him a direct deadly blow! ”

The old cunning grandfather panicked. “There is no one as crazy as you. You don't transfer assets while I don't set limits, do you? ”

Javier walks into Jade's office as she laughs in response. "You caught me…"

Grandparents and grandchildren spent some time talking about the last time in Hyliveskia before they ended the call.

Jade was currently sitting behind her desk with her nose buried in a pile of documents. Javier doesn't need to ask to know that it's all about Sammy-Blue Inc, because he can see the title in the header of the documents in front of him.

It's clear that Jade has a headache because of Sammy-Blue Inc. and doesn't know what to do. Even so, he never said it to Javier, as if he didn't want Javier to know.

Staring at Javier, Jade smiled at him before he lowered his head to continue studying the information he had before. Her smile was sweet but filled with exhaustion that could not be hidden no matter how much she tried to hide it.

Javier approached Jade from behind and hugged her tiny body and the back of the chair she was sitting on. He landed a soft kiss on Jade's cheek and asked her, "Jade, why didn't you tell me about Sammy - Blue Inc?"

Dropping the documents, Jade curled up tiredly in Javier's face. The warmth of her cheeks made her relax.

“You're overreacting. I don't know what's been keeping you busy all this time, but it must be important to grab your attention, so I don't want to bother you with trifles like this. You're tired, but I can't share your burden.”

What Jade said sent out a burst of warmth within Javier. He was really wise, the best part of which was always considering him.

Javier replied gently, “Thank you, Jade. But I'm a man. I should have supported you since I was with you. How can I let you defend yourself when that happens? Anyway, to be honest, Sammy-Blue Inc. means nothing to me.”

Javier wants Jade to understand that he is strong enough and can solve this problem completely for him. However, Jade shook her head with a wry smile after hearing what she said.

“Darling, I know that you are capable and you have a strong background, more than I can imagine, but the more I know, the more I feel I am not worthy of you.

“That's why I studied finance with Mary Jane and business management with Mr. Mccool. I fear that I am unworthy of you and cannot help you in the future, that I can only be an incompetent partner.

“I don't want to live like a parasitic wife. I just want to be able to help you, even if just by taking a little trouble off your plate, I will still be happy.”.

Jade had said many things, it turned out to pour out her heart.
