Chapter 107 Fairy and Goddess

It never crossed Javier's mind that he would meet Edelgard in Xerxes Village when they had just met that one time.

What he found strange was that Edelgard was carrying a bamboo basket filled with grass on his back. Judging from the scythe he was holding, he was clearly the one who put the grass into the basket.

Javier is surprised and he suspects that this person is not actually Edelgard but a lookalike. Nevertheless, Jade asked at the same time, "Isn't that movie star Edelgard Weiss?"

Javier nodded in surprise. "I guess so. I met him at the capital airport before and even chatted with him. She seemed to be wearing the same clothes as when I saw her as well, but why was she holding a bamboo basket and mowing the grass?”

"You two have met?”

Javier awakens from his daydream when he hears Jade's sharp question and asks in a mocking tone, “Why, are you jealous?”

"No." Jade shook her head.

Javier said nothing but lowering the windshield of the car as he drove beside Edelgard.

Before he could say anything, Edelgard greeted him in surprise. "Hey, you, Javier!"

So it's really Edelgard. Is a celebrity like him there for “living a life”?

Jade pouted her sexy little lips. She even knew his name and greeted him cheerfully. Jade didn't voice any of this. He just muttered to himself deep down.

Despite this, Javier can read his expression and gesture for Jade to get out of the car with him to greet the celebrity.

Facing Edelgard, Javier wrapped his arms around Jade's slender waist and introduced them warmly. "This is my girlfriend, Jade Odell."

Edelgard reached out with joy. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Edelgard Weiss.”

Jade shook hands with Edelgard merrily, as she was really happy now. The fact that Javier wrapped his arms around his waist and openly introduced him as his girlfriend, as well as the fact that Edelgard reacted with great joy, was enough to prove that there was nothing between the two of them.

After a friendly chat, Javier asked Edelgard, “Say, what is a public figure like you doing here, mowing the lawn instead of acting? Are you living a regular life?”

Edelgard removed the bamboo basket she was carrying from her back and rubbed her shoulders.

“What do you mean live a normal life? I'm a volunteer teacher here. I volunteer for six months a year. It's been three years and counting.”

Javier. He really did not expect a celebrity to be a volunteer teacher in the Village.

She had heard about college students going to the village for volunteer work, such as teaching, but it never crossed her mind that an actual female celebrity would do so as well.

If he had been there for ten days or two weeks so the press could report and publish it, it was undoubtedly a publicity stunt. However, Edelgard had been a volunteer teacher there for three years in a row and each time stayed half a year, so this must have come purely from his good heart.

While Javier was surprised by Edelgard's volunteer work, Jade asked in surprise, “You goddess that the students keep talking about? They tell me about it every time I'm here. They said that a goddess had taught them a long time ago.

“Because of my busy work schedule, I usually only stay a few days before I have to leave, so I never meet you.”

Edelgard looked surprised as well. “Then you must be the fairy they keep talking about. The children tell me also that you always visit them, and every time you come, you bring a lot of money to the village and even bring them back to the city to treat their illnesses.

The two women actually did a good deed in Xerxes Village together but only heard each other without meeting in person. Now that they have met today, they shower each other with so much praise that Javier feels ashamed.

“Edelgard, come with us there. We can talk in the car.”

At that moment, someone ran frantically from the front of the car. She looked like she was a little over 20 years old and wore a fancy brand outfit from head to toe, but her clothes were extremely dirty.

Raising his legs, the young man stomped on the hood of the car violently.

Easton Group belongs to his father? Javier's interested.

How could he have never heard of the Easton Group? Mary Jane was once the company's financial director, a small subsidiary of the Kersey conglomerate. If Mary Jane hadn't been finance director there, Javier probably wouldn't have remembered that there was a company like this under his family's control.

This young man said that it belonged to his father?

Javier said as he chuckled, “True, it belongs to your father. If it makes you happy, you can say that it also belongs to your grandfather!”

The young man seemed to have won somewhat. "So? Scared now, huh? Are you aware that a few cents in your pocket can't do anything right now? While he was mending his clothes, Edelgard spoke up. "Luca Pangani, stop thinking everyone is as useless as you!"

The young man named Luca Pangani, who had been acting rather brashly, put on a shocked expression right after hearing Edelgard's reprimand.

"Then, I will give you an established company as an engagement gift and make you the most beautiful bride in the world!"

It is clear that Luca was kind to Edelgard. He was not even angry when he was mercilessly berated. Instead, he smiled and laughed. He had even come all the way to the isolated Xerxes Village. It was obvious how seriously he was going after Edelgard.

In spite of this, Edelgard paid it no heed and turned around to directly get into the car.

Jade exited from the back of the car at the same time and lightly flicked the strands of hair in front of her face. The unintentional sensuality he displayed fascinated Luca.

Jade had yet to catch the conversation outside, as she had just been in the car, so she asked Javier upon seeing Luca, "Who is this?"

Javier hugged her and pecked her hard before formally introducing the young man. "Trs. You idiot!"

"Huh?"

Jade had not reacted when Javier pushed her into the car. A moment later, Javier jumped into the driver's seat and started the car.

Luca panics and goes to open the backseat door, but Javier locks it from the inside. Luca cried frantically, “What about me? I'm with Edelgard!”

Javier smiles. “This is a cheap G63. Don't ride. It'll taint your honorable ass. ”

Looking at the exaggerated G63, Luca stomped his feet furiously. “F * ck. If I could drive my Ferrari here, I'd make you see for yourself what a rich man looks like!”
