Chapter 65 The Company's Elders Come for Blood

At the cafe, Jade puts down her coffee and shows her laptop screen to Javier.

"See. This is a comment I found online about our sales office.

“You won't believe it unless you see it. As a sales representative, how dare they treat customers with such an attitude.”.

Jade was furious. He can understand the competition in the business, and Neve can do everything if she wants revenge on him, but they do this for the company in the end. They are trying to make a profit for the company. How could this turn into an attack as well?

Javier glanced at the comments and articles Jade pulled. They were more or less the same as his initial experience at the sales office. He took a copy of the video clip and played it on the laptop, this time turning the screen towards Jade.

"I think you'll get the answer right after watching this."

Jade was furious when she watched the clip, especially after hearing the seller slander her by saying that it was she who asked them to treat customers like that. He was pale with anger. "Not shameless! He is really shameless!"

Jade understands now. Neve must have set this up behind them. However, just as he was about to vent his anger, Javier spoke while laughing. "Don't get mad. It's not you they're slandering  ."

Jade replied without thinking, “Why not me? Sales office manager is..”

He paused a moment later, as he realized that while the current manager was still Neve Odell. His eyes lit up as he thought about it, and he pointed towards Javier. “You are indeed the worst!”

Javier smiles. "I told you. You become a good person and I will become a bad person.”

Jade felt embarrassed and blushed, replying gently as she lowered her head, "Thank you .. have done so much for me ..."

As Jade thanks Javier, Neve, who is speeding away, gets a call from Matthew

"Where are you? Get back to my office now! hurry up!"

Neve didn't have time to ask why, because Matthew hung up.

“He doesn't sound too happy. Did something happen again?” Muttering to himself, Neve stepped on the accelerator and darted towards Odello Corp's headquarters.

Arriving at Matthew's office, Neve had just walked through the door when her father

hit the table "Why are you so stupid?"

Neve is so humiliated. "Dad, what do you mean dad? How am I stupid?”

He thought he was smart enough to snatch Jade's sales job. No, he's not stupid at all.

Matthew pointed to his computer screen. “Come here and see for yourself!”

Surprisingly, Neve approached Matthew to watch a video clip playing on the screen. The video shows Sky Loft sales office project joking with customers. They explained that Ms. Odell had ordered them to behave this way and said that the manager had even dragged someone into his room and spent two hours berate them.

Not immediately understanding the situation. Someone secretly recorded this tape and uploaded it on the internet.

“I don't think it's that bad. I am also Miss Odell, but we can claim that it is Jade Odell!”

“Hai, are you Ms sales office. Odell from Sky Loft?”

"Yes, I'm Neve Odell, the manager of this sales office."

The footage ends there, and Neve freezes. He finally figured out why the "journalist" was going to the sales office. He also looks a bit arrogant in the video.

The clips have been processed so carefully that the editing is almost perfect. It was as if Neve was standing right next to the seller when they said what they said.

When Matthew questioned Neve again, he returned to reality and tried to defend himself, looking desperate. "They did. He purposely set me up. This video clip has been edited!”

Matthew snorted, “Of course I believe you, but what is a netizen? Is that old man?!”

Neve was at a loss for words.

The truth proves Matthew is right. The old men at Odello Corp. did not believe him at all, as secretary Matthew walked in in in in a panic. "Trs. Odell, a senior joined the proposal and called for an emergency meeting to discuss the Ms video. Neve in sales office..”.

Half an hour later, executives, including Matthew, Jade, Neve, and company seniors, held an emergency meeting in the company's boardroom. One senior member, Victor Dowding, first asked someone to play a viral video online before he saw Neve.

"Neve Odell, please tell us what happened."

There is no polite greeting, only the use of his name directly. Obviously Victor and the other old man were out of blood, though,

Neve got up to explain herself in a hurry. “I didn't do it. It's been edited. I really don't know.”

"Who has done it?"

Victor's gaze on Neve felt like a piercing knife. He felt that there was nothing he could hide from her.

Victor continued, “Then explain us. Why is Miss Jade here sabotaging herself by asking a sales representative not to sell a single unit as she struggles to get an offer from Sky Loft? What can he get? Does he want you to get his sales and position?”

"Eh..."

Victor's questions were brief and straightforward. They made Neve stutter, because she couldn't give a proper answer. Matthew, as his father, wanted to save him from this stress when he saw him in that predicament, but before he could say anything, Victor continued,

“Video can be edited, but the sales representative attitude cannot be faked. If you don't set this behind us, who else can? The jade?

"You think Jade did? Or did you, Neve, turn into a genius?”

As Victor questioned him, Neve stuttered, unable to explain, “Master. Dowding, I guess-" Matthew begins to speak in an attempt to appease everyone for Neve, but Victor now directs a piercing gaze at him, "Matthew Odell, our parents gave you the power of power in Odello just because you're the chairman's son, This doesn't mean we approve of your abilities, nor do we approve of you doing anything you want! ” Matthew felt his heart sink with a bad premonition.
