Chapter 76 The Hardest Man Gets the Last Word

Javier sat down casually in front of the table and lit a cigarette. Then, he lowered the "no smoking" sign next to him.

Javier turned to look at Victor, who was still focusing on the computer screen in front of him.” Show's over. You can stop seeing it now. ”

Victor finally regained consciousness but pretended to be calm. "Why do you want to show me this fucking news? Do you think I have a lot of time on my hands ?! ”

"I can't say it though .. ”

Javier gave Victor a cup of coffee as he spoke.

Meanwhile, Victor stared at the cup while Javier flicked his cigarette ash into it without the slightest hint of emotion on his face  .

After which, Javier pointed to the file on the table. "It's inside, look at yourself."

"I don't know what it is."

Even so, Victor stared for about 30 seconds, before he could not hold back his curiosity anymore and took the file.

When he saw the contents, Javier kept talking.

"Yesterday night, a man named Robert is ordered by his father to meet Reena, a maid. He has been asked to make a deal with her and she will receive 800 dollars if she helps him with the theatrics and filming.

"Of course, Reena strongly agrees and follows Robert to the warehouse.

"Inward, Reena changed the clothes Robert had prepared earlier. Then, he was tied to a chair and a cover was placed on his head so that no one would know he was a fraud.

"What happened next was that Reena was beaten with a stick and some people poured water over the cover covering her face, as if they were going to drown her alive.

"After the video was recorded, Reena felt severe pain in her stomach and needed medical treatment. So, Robert paid him an extra 800 dollars but neglected to send him to the hospital. Instead, he asked his subordinates to expel him  .

"The same night, Reena was found unconscious on the side of the road. Yes, that's the scene you see in the video where the police swarm towards TKP.”

Javier stopped and looked at Victor, who was reading the document in his hand.

Grain of cold sweat ran down his forehead, his face paled. He seemed to have just experienced a great shock.

Javier then continued, “ I have investigated the matter, and. What I find interesting to me is that you also have a son named Robert, Mr. Dowding. Besides, he's your only son. So... Don't you think this is too coincidental?”

Victor remained silent, but the hand holding the file began to tremble. He wanted to hide the fear in his eyes, but he ended up failing. The file contains a will written by Reena before she died…

'I received an invitation from Victor Dowding of Odello Corp. to work with his son, Robert Dowding, to record a video in exchange for 800 dollars… If I am not home by 5pm today, please file a police report on my behalf.

Javier smoked his cigarette again and continued, “Actually, it wasn't his will, but a letter he left for a friend who rented a place with him. Back then, she thought Reena had no choice but to deliver this message by mail because she had had too much to drink that night.

Victor started to panic. As he sat in his chair, he did not know what to do. Everything Javier says is true, except the part about Reena's death that he didn't expect.

From across his desk, Javier smiled and said, “Are you trying to call Robert? Forget it, you won't be able to get through it. He is still my prisoner for now. How do you think I found out about her paying Reena an extra 800 dollars?

Victor is really freaking out right now! He doesn't know what he's supposed to do. His lifelong dream was to become chairman. However, he did not want to be caught by the police, and he also did not want his son to be executed for murder!

Therefore, he hurriedly looked at Javier and said in a trembling voice, “Master. Kersey, forgive us both! Based on the fact that you're here in my office, I'm sure you're here to consult, aren't you? Please, I'll do anything, don't tell the police about us! ”

Victor stomped his foot and stood up before Javier could finish.

He then roared and said, “No way! There's no way I agree with this! You can forget it !! ”

For Victor, the fact that he owned a 51% stake in the company was enough for him to achieve his lifelong dream of becoming chairman.

So how could he be willing to give up so easily when the title of chairman was already in front of him?!

Seeing how Victor roars like a raging tiger, Javier has no intention of yelling at him. Instead, he simply reinserted the document into the file.

“Well, I guess the loudest gets the last word. Happy now? I'll take this matter to the police, while you go ahead and become the chairman you've always wanted. It's all!"

After that, Javier stands up and is about to leave, while Victor panics.

"Trs. Kersey, Mr. Kersey, please wait! Come..let's talk about this again..”.

This is sufficient proof that the loudest person does not always win.

Throughout the conversation afterwards, Victor no longer raised his voice and continued to try to flatter Javier.

He first promised to pay Javier 12.5 million dollars in cash and assured that he would arrange for Javier to be the second person in command of the company.

After failing to "persuade" Javier with various counter-offers, Victor agrees to give Javier 20% of the shares he owns as a last resort.

However, Javier just snorted underestimating all the offers.

Finally, he gave Victor an ultimatum. “51% of the shares you own were transferred unconditionally to Jade in return for your net break. The only way you can get out of this is to leave Odello Corporation.”

V ictor was still doubtful at the time. 'I've taken my whole life just to get this part! It has been a lifelong dream of mine to become the chairman!!!

Javier was just about to leave after their negotiations failed, and Victor finally gave up. "Good! I'll move it, okay?! I will... I will transfer everything to him..”.
