The Hero
Chapter 460 I Guess I Missed So Much

Adolf is confused. Never in his wildest dreams did he ever think Javier would dare to touch George. George is a Hachison! The representative of the impeccable Hachison Yuzuia! He was basically a retainer as well as an ambassador of a modern-day emperor!

And now the same ambassador just snapped his finger at Adolf's territory.

How could he explain it?

Had the person who broke George's finger really been someone else, Adolf would have ordered security to arrest the culprit. But this is also not an ordinary person – this is Javier Kersey, his client who is very important and the biggest to date!

Poor Adolf was more than just shocked. He was in a helpless bond. What should he do now?

Now, if the goal is to take George's heart, there is only one option: He must order his men to chase Javier and fix the latter. Unfortunately, what Adolf really wanted to do was just the opposite.

For God's sake, he really wanted to see this annoying shole* punished so hilariously!

Adolf was hardly alone in his shock. Hachison who “ snapped George's finger” was as astonished as the host amid a flood of suffering that crippled his senses.

Grimacing, he shouted forcefully, “Aaargghh! I'll kill you! I'll kill you! And all your family too! Gaaaaahhhhh!”

"But before you do that, you need to make sure that you are capable of it, man," Javier replied eloquently.

“Or else, it's just a harsh empty threat. Even empty threats come with fees you might have to pay!”

As if to make it clear that he was not the one who posed the empty threat, Javier grabbed one of George's fingers.

'Pops!' it's leaving.

George let out another groan that made his throat tense, no different from the screeches of wild boars waiting to be slaughtered.

“F *ck! Where is f* ck my bodyguard ?! Don't just stand there, you fool! Finish this ba**ngan and save meuuuuuu!” he screamed at the top of his lungs.

While he was grumbling, the God Herschel knew when he had arrived - sucking on a tray filled with premium foie gras casually a man who chewed on a bucket of hearts of cheap street food-grade geese. His lips were practically gleaming with the dripping oil as he sucked the remaining liquid on his finger dry.

He only replied after sucking clean all five of his fingers. “Friends? They all went to see Xion Hachison.”

The answer was so immediate that the grin on George's face froze. The fact that Herschel called Xion was a big warning about who he might be dealing with.

He pointed his face towards Herschel instinctively and rumbled, “Who are you really ?! What do you want?!"

Herschel. “I'll call you stupid even if you don't want to admit it, just because it's the truth, man. My boss is a Kersey, while I personally send your subordinates to meet the late Xion Hachison. Guess who I am yet?” he scoffs.

“Come, Georgie. Use your brain. You'll regret never taking a chance if you die before using it, you know?

George finally understood the problem. Or rather, he finally understood who the real boss was there. Turning back to Javier with incredible speed, he shouted, “K-You're a Kersey ?!”

It was the same question he had asked before, but his tone was very different this time.

Instead of answering, Javier called Mei. “May? Do you know a George Hachison?”

“Oh, it's Xion's foster son,” he replied immediately.

“He's a bastard who's always been abroad, so I don't care enough to see his head turn. What's up, Javier darling?”

Darling?' Their relationship was good enough to warrant an ordinary 'lover ?!

Worst of all, being so close to Javier has allowed George to hear Javier's name on top of that damned "lover. He immediately fell to his knees. George hates the Kersey family. It was the family that supported May's coup; the people who had helped her usurp her foster father's position.

“I'm sorry, Mr Kersey! I'm sorry! I'm wrong!" she cried, begging for her life while shedding heartfelt tears. Adolf's confused. He had absolutely no idea what had just happened, especially since George switched to babbling in Yuzuean, a language he did not understand.

Still, just because he thought the conversation was incomprehensible, it didn't mean he couldn't reveal the bit of information he could with his eyes. He could muster the fear engraved on George's face. He could see how teary and pure he was as he pleaded. It only added to his disbelief. What did the demigod do, plead anything to Javier on his knee?

Javier refused George's request. "Have you ever wondered if Xion missed him?" he asked Mei.

"I want to think he did."

There he is – one thing that will decide if he lives.

Javier let George go, and the man begged, his hands clenched as if he were praying incessantly.

"Please please! Mr Kersey, please, let me live! I'm just a dog, my honorable lord! I will wag my tail and curl before you like a good boy and never betray you. Never was! I will be faithful as a dog! Please!"

However, Javier is not a compassionate person. He's not going to show anything to someone who's bragging about killing his family and he personally hates bad guys like George. The world needs to get rid of people like that.

He waved to Herschel, and his subordinates immediately picked up the tablecloth before approaching the whimpering George.

It seems that Herschel also found the man unattractive so he preferred to kill George with a layer of cloth as sanitary protection. George's survival instincts emerge. He lunges, hurtling towards Suzanne in a last-ditch effort to save her skin through hostage negotiations.

He underestimated Javier. With a lightning-fast kick from his spot next to him, George was thrown long before falling.

He was barely given a second chance to retaliate before Herschel wrapped his head in a white cloth and pulled him out of the hall.

"NO! No no no no! Mr Kersey, I don't want to die! Tolongaaaaaaaaa!” As George Hachison was dragged forcibly out of the hall, everyone watching the foofaraw gawked in bewilderment.

Adolf staggered back from his shock. He may not have heard of the prominent Kersey family or known how evil Javier was, but the fact that George was "previously known as a demigod" Hachison must kneel before Javier and begging for mercy means one undeniable thing: a:

Javier Kersey is in a very different league than the likes of George! He quickly walked towards Javier with an apologetic smile.

“My sincere apologies, Mr Kersey! What just happened ruined your night, didn't it? It was our fault for not paying enough attention to every detail. I'm very sorry.”

Javier patted Adolf's shoulder. “Well, it's nothing. You did well."

Of course, what a businessman cares about most is lining their pockets and looking after their interests, and that is undoubtedly why Adolf does what he has. That doesn't mean his attempt to mediate for Javier's sake even though not knowing anything about the latter is a less noble gesture.

Adolf breathed a sigh of relief in his mind. Everything would be fine as long as he did not offend this fellow through what he had just done! He was aware of the amount of power a person of Javier's level could have.

He was, for all intents and purposes, on the level of a god. Had Adolf made this man angry, he would not have been the only one to fall. The entire Heinfensmirtz Inc. will also fall!

“To show how deeply we regret our stupidity, Mr. Kersey, we will try to give the best of our products and rebates!”

Javier could hear a sincere tone in Adolf's proclamation, but his attention continued to turn to Suzanne. Seeing George being dragged out of the hall like that seemed to have dampened his good spirits.

Javier can guess what's on his mind. He must have thought his reaction was too aggressive to cause such a commotion. It was an understandable misunderstanding - the young woman had no inkling of the feud between the Hachison and Javier families.

"No one can bully my girl" he said sincerely.

"Nothing!"

Susanne blushed.
