After dinner, Alice sat on the side of the bed. Klayver came home an hour ago. Now he is talking to his parents. Axel still follows Violin wherever she goes. It made Alice feel annoyed at failing to control her attitude.
After dinner, Alice felt tired and decided to return to the room first. Now, when he was in the room, his eyes were difficult to shut. He was reminded of the many events that have been approaching him lately.
Alice had never felt this weak in her entire life. He was like a defeated coward and could only stand in the corner of the room. What else could he do?
All the people nearby started to move away one by one. Because Alice kicked him out indirectly. First Rachel, then Susan.
Without them, Alice's life is not perfect. But approaching them is also not capable of doing for the moment. Looking at them, it still reminded Alice of the deep sorrow.
Alice doesn't know where Susan went after she kicked her out. Could it be that the woman still had a shelter? Alice did not even pay him the last payment. Is Susan's money enough to survive?
Those questions began to appear in his mind shortly after his emotions subsided. All in all, Alice knew she couldn't blame Susan completely.
Anson's life is full of risks. He created many problems that made him pursued danger without end. If there wasn't Susan, there would be another woman who would still have Maxen sucked in. Luckily Susan cared enough to protect her life. If that woman wasn't Susan, maybe Alice had been killed by Maxen long before.
Speaking of Maxen, Alice couldn't blame him directly either. He was moved by old grudges as Alice did too. Loss has made a person capable of bad actions. Make us show the other side we have.
The sound of the door opening made Alice turn her head quickly. Klayver stood looming, looking dominant. His masculine smile was perfectly formed at the corners of the lips. Seeing her made Alice feel calm and peaceful.
"Where were you going this afternoon, Klayver?" ask Alice in curiosity.
"Souvery, Adam, and Andre."
Alice scrunched her forehead. The meaning of the word 'take care' becomes another when said by Klayver.
"You mean ….?" alice asked to be sure.
"Guzz it forever." Klayver sat down by his wife's side, saw a black line under Alice's petals and concluded the woman must have been sleep deprived. Is he still burdened by problems?
"You're playing clean, right?"Alice looked worried. Too many problems approached them. Alice doesn't want to add much trouble.
Alice tried to forgive Maxen. But about the three people, he could not tolerate it.
For Rachel's sake, she made peace with the man who killed her late husband.
"of course. Yesterday there were some obstacles so that my men could not do the task. Now those three guys have been cleared up. How are you today? Is there a problem? I see Susan is no more tonight." asked Klayver.
The problem with Maxen must have been smelled by Susan. It was only natural that the woman had escaped. Klayver wouldn't mind going after him if Alice wanted to.
"I asked him to go." Alice said softly. She looked at Klayver sadly and leaned her head on her husband's broad shoulders.
"Have you talked about everything?" klayver asked doubtfully.
"Yes." Yeah."
"And you forgive him?"
"Yes. Am I stupid?" tanyakanya.
"No. Sometimes forgiveness will be a good path. As long as you give it to the right person."
Alice smiled, feeling happy.
"Alice," call Maxen suddenly. The woman looked up.
"There's good news you need to hear." Klayver grabbed Alice's hand and kissed her gently.
"Oh yeah? What's?"
"Rachel's condition is improving. And the doctor didn't remove Rachel's uterus. There is a doctor who has a different opinion. He insinuates saying Rachel's uterus could still be saved at the last seconds after Maxen signed the affidavit. Maxen followed the new doctor's opinion and chose to save his wife's womb. As a result, your friend can still get pregnant without any problems at all."
Alice jerks. He looked at Klayver in disbelief with sparkling eyes.
"really?" tanyakanya.
"really. I checked it out before returning home this evening. I also talked to Maxen. Guess what he said!"
Alice gawked in confusion, unable to guess her husband's information.
"He will turn himself in to the police in connection with Anson's murder. But that's what she'll do after Rachel's healed and she's stable."
Alice nodded in disbelief. He touched the side of his face to reassure himself and smiled slightly.
"Are you sure this is okay, Klayver?" tanya's a little worried.
"It's okay. Every action always needs consequences. The law goes on. Let the authorities take care of it. For now, we close the old history. Let's live with the new sheet and enjoy a lot of things."
Alice is warm. She dropped herself in her husband's arms. This man, has become his place to go home. She offers a new beauty that Alice cannot resist.
"And Alice, it's good to see Rachel tomorrow. He needs your presence."
Alice froze for a moment. She wasn't sure Rachel could take it back after everything Alice did.
"Alice, face the truth. I'll be with you tomorrow." Clayver calms his wife. She knew it would be hard for Alice to face Rachel. There was a lot of guilt in his eyes. But if Klayver doesn't try to help restore his condition, his wife will just be the one hiding in the dark.
"Alright, Klayver. You won this time." Alice said softly. He stared at the floor with hope that began to dance within his eyes.
"Tomorrow, Axel, you can leave it to Mom when we go to the hospital."
Klayver smiled to himself given Axel's endless actions each time he was on Violin's side. The boy is very active. It was totally beyond everyone's expectations.
"How can Violin easily get along with the children while she is alone away from me? Does your mother have any particular disorder?" Alice was angry. Just one day Violin here, Axel's behavior is not careless. Her in-laws pampered Axel all out. I don't know where that kind of nature comes from.
"I told you, my mom's good at babysitting." Klayver was honest.
"Don't say Violin." Alice shuddered in disbelief.
"My mom is capable!" Klayver patted Alice's thighs a little hard, making her scream in disbelief.
"So you've been a mama's boy all this time? It's totally beyond belief." Sindir Alice poked her lips, feeling like she had an idea to make fun of her husband.
Klayver is hard to have a gap for Alice to comment on. Well, each side has above-average standards. Damn indeed. God is unfair because he gave many gifts to him. So, when he had the chance to make fun of it, of course he would not let go of the opportunity.
"Something wrong with my mom?" Klayver blinked with innocent eyes, making Alice want to laugh out loud.
"You didn't know that mama's son was spoiled?" Alice asked back.
Klayver only smiled slightly, hugging his beloved wife. He's too happy right now. What he has is hard for him to achieve. Therefore, as long as time allowed, Klayver wanted to make use of every second he had to be with Alice.
"You mind having a spoiled husband?"
"Ehhh …." Alice retreated, looking at the other side of Klayver that the man started to look at.
"No. You don't mind having a widow's wife either" said Alice sincerely. She gripped her husband with affection and was spoiled. The scent of Klayver, had always been a powerful opium to him.
"I don't care if you're a widow or not. For me, what is inside you is very special. Not just any woman can be like you."
…
This morning, Alice said goodbye to Axel and sent him to Violin during his hospital stay. Guess what her son did. Casually, Axel did not consider Alice at all and was busy playing with Violin.
Alice had almost lost the patience to see her only son forget her. Still Klayver held Alice back and only smiled faintly. He pushed Alice out and waved at the rest of the house.
"Mom, me and Alice go first. Remember, you don't overstay Axel. She'll change her character because of you."
"Go, Klayver. You're my son. You have no right to dictate my actions." Violin turned her head towards Axel and said softly. "Axel, what if today we take a walk to the shopping center? You're gonna need a new game."
Axel jumped up and hugged Violin full of affection. The child's cold attitude disappeared instantly whenever faced with his grandmother. They were like two people destined to be together by nature.
"You saw for yourself, didn't you? Your mother must have had an abnormal side. His hospitality to Axel was too frightening!" Alice grumbling.
Klayver chuckled softly, feeling his wife was starting to make no sense. His mother really likes children. Maybe actually, he already missed his biological granddaughter. Surely the condition of the house will be more vibrant.
After Alice's departure, James looked at Violin and shook his head. A newspaper was lying on his lap. A warm cup of coffee is located on the table not far from its reach.
"Alice's right. You're spoiling Axel too much, honey." James was honest. He clucked a few times, astonished at his wife's own behavior.
"Shut up, James. Don't ruin my happiness!" Pinta Violin fierce. Her eyes glared at her husband not accepting. James who saw the childish side of his wife could only laugh out loud.
"The boy has really bewitched you."
…
The outpatient room door is open. Alice entered the room with a slight discomfort. Klayver stood behind him with a hand ready to support Alice whenever her wife needed to.
"Alice," call Rachel weak. The woman was lying on a sick bed with various tools. Slang infusion and a machine that somehow functions for what is on its side.
Maxen who was in the corner of the room, jerked to his feet and decided to go out. The situation would be even more awkward as they all gathered within the same space. It would be better for Maxen to give up.
After Maxen passed away, Alice approached her friend in a clumsy manner. He stood up awkwardly and could not say anything. The water speaks. Alice sobbed bitterly at Rachel's side. Feeling devastated seeing the condition of his friend.
"Sshhht don't cry. You made my bed shake. That's really uncomfortable." Rachel grabbed Alice's arm with her free hand and stroked it gently.
Klayver who was standing next to Alice patted his wife on the shoulder and followed Maxen's footsteps to leave the room. They need time for both. His existence would only be a bully to them.
"I'm really outrageous to have done all this to you, Rachel. I made your fetus disappear." Alice said frustrated.
Rachel shook her head slowly, rejecting the guilt Alice gave her.
"I'm the one who has parachuted in that matter, Alice. There is nothing to blame. We're just two people stuck together. Just so you know, Alice. My womb is not lifted. So I can have another child. You don't have to feel guilty like that. Sit down and I'll tell you something."
Alice was stunned for a long time. He picked up the white stool provided by the hospital and dragged it near Rachel. Slowly, Alice sat on it.
"Alice, sometimes we have circumstances that put us at odds with each other. But, in my heart, you are still my friend. Forever will never change. So, can you make peace with the situation and try to get back to how you were? I really need you" Rachel said as she was. He smiled a little, showing sincerity.
"You really forgive me, Rachel?" alice asked trembling.
"I told you there's nothing to forgive. Everyone has their own role in this matter. I'm just trying to get things back to how they were. By the way Maxen's problem, we've talked about it together. He'll turn himself in to the police once I'm cured. I hope this move can ease a little bit of your pain from losing Anson."
Rachel still smiled a little. After she came to her senses from the critical situation, Rachel thought of many things. Including all the mistakes of her husband in the past. Wisely, Rachel advises Maxen to turn herself in.
The law must be enforced. She wants her husband to take responsibility. Rachel insists that she should see her husband in prison. At least, it's better than losing Maxen forever.
"I was thinking of forgiving Maxen. But if he himself doesn't mind giving himself up. I think it's okay, too." Alice smiled with relief, feeling happy finally her relationship with Rachel recovered.
Rachel is a very valuable person. Without her, Alice would feel a deep sense of loss. Of course he could not if he had to experience all that.
