The Rhyme of the Depositary

The Rhyme of the Depositary
016 - SEASON 2

Rachel was enjoying breakfast in the dining room. In front of him, there was Maxen sitting in silence. The aura of the man's face seemed to darken at all times. Rachel was not sure to keep looking at him.

It has been four days since their wedding. For the first two days Rachel always followed the Millian family order. From eating, activities together to getting together in the family room every night. Alena and Maxen's two cousins quite well accept it. No more rejection from them.

Two days ago, Maxen brought Rachel to his mansion in an elite neighborhood. Inevitably Rachel followed the will of the man as well. In this house, he is freer. They don't have to pretend to be nice to each other in front of a big family. Especially in front of her in-laws, Alena.

Alena is too sensitive to read the situation. Whenever Rachel feels intimidated by Maxen, the woman frowns in confusion and tries to convince her that Maxen is a good person.

The good person? Pshaw! If Maxen is a good person, then everyone in the world has a 'better person'.

Rachel is grateful they have lived apart from the Millian family. He is not sure he can maintain the attitude every time he has to deal with them and Maxen acts as a great companion for him.

"I'll be monitoring some projects today. You okay if I leave?" maxen asked softly, very contradictory to his sharp gaze. His black net was filled with arrogance.

Rachel nodded. This is what he expected. Maxen left from his side. If he can, he's been left for months and it doesn't matter. Rachel cheered in her heart.

Maxen takes out a credit card and hands it to Rachel. He considered it as if it was worthless trash.

"Wear it if you need anything."

Rachel's eyes turned red with anger. He threw the card back and sighed softly.

"Don't hope!" rejecting raw.

Maxen frowned slightly and raised both shoulders, seemingly unconcerned.

"You don't want to? This card has a large limit. Do you want me to give you two cards? Or three?" tanyanya while reaching into her other pocket. Maxen took out his wallet and took out another credit card. He handed it to Rachel for the second time.

Feeling humiliated, the woman pushed the serving plate and stood withholding anger. Maxe. This guy judges things based on money. It's all about money. Rachel was fed up with this kind of mindset.

"I don't need your fucking money. I can still work and support myself. Just dump your credit card on another woman who likes to lick you!" Rachel stomped her feet and passed from the dining room.

Maxen stared at Rachel's back with an odd look. A small smile formed at the corner of his mouth, meaningfully. He then stood up and passed also from the dining room.

"The woman interests me even more. Gradually, he will bend his knees under my feet" he whispered in a low voice. Both of his eyes were emitting a sharp look full of determination.

As Maxen arrived in the front yard, he saw Alice entering the main gate. A Maxen trust security guard waved his hand and gestured he was Rachel's friend.

Maxen gave a small nod as he walked closer towards the woman. He felt familiar with this woman. Her surging red hair, her dazzling golden netra and pure aura of beauty.

"Sir, I'm sorry Alice, Rachel's friend. I have information that my friend is here" Alice said with a puzzled look.

Alice hears from the security guards that this residence belongs to Maxen Millian. This woman is still worried. Rachel married a man named Harry Millian. Could it be that they were two men in the same house?

"Yes, my wife is inside. Please come in, Miss. Sorry, I can't keep you company. Let Tom drive you." Maxen smiled slightly and passed away as if unconcerned by Alice's confusion.

Wife? They're husband and wife? How did Rachel get married to Maxen?

Alice held back all her curiosity and followed Tom, the security man to the inner mansion. He only sighed a few times to convince himself. Alice wishes there was nothing wrong with Rachel's marriage.

Alice walks through a large mansion filled with classy furniture. At first glance, the furniture of this mansion has the same standards as the Klayver cottage. They were both like two people competing against each other in the same class.

Alice scrunched her forehead. He remembered every reaction Maxen gave. The look in my eyes was a bit like Anson. They were two people who had arrogance and dominance in many ways.

Maxen has a high standard of living. Maybe because he has a strong personality and does not waver easily. Alice was able to realize this trait from the first moment she met. Anson called this trait male dominance. That personality will lead a person to the peak of success.

After passing through the hallway, Tom directed Alice up the stairs with a modern-designed trellis. In an upstairs lounge, Alice finds Rachel sitting in front of a large television with a blank look.

The furniture in this room was no different from what he saw downstairs. Famous paintings decorate the walls. Some antique jars of Chinese design are beautifully located in the corners of the room.

"Rachel," call Alice to surprise her theme.

Rachel looked surprised, not expecting that Alice would visit her so soon.

"Hey, Al .. how are you?" rachel asked walking to greet her theme. They kiss each other and laugh together.

"Okay, sit down, Alice. What do you want to drink?" haggar Rachel waved at one of the servants passing by and asked for coffee for the two of them.

"Rachel, I'm a little confused. Didn't you marry a guy named Harry? But why are you staying at Maxen's? Wait, wait .. I heard he called you his wife. What's the matter exactly?" Alice stared in disbelief. He was a little dazed trying to piece together this puzzle.

Rachel sat down a little awkwardly. How does he explain that he has changed partners in the short time leading up to marriage?

"Rachel, can you explain?" cerca Alice was curious. He shrugged his shoulders a little hard.

"Oh, all right, I'll explain everything." Rachel gave up defeat and began to tell all the events that had happened to her over the past four days.

Alice is a good listener. He tried not to interrupt Rachel's explanation. He let his theme reveal all the uneg-uneg that he craves.

There was no judgmental look on Alice's face. He nodded a few times whenever there was a pause and gently rubbed the shoulders of his theme.

Alice realized the situation Rachel was in. He tries to be a friend who is ready to support Rachel no matter what. Just like Rachel did that to him.

Alice remembers. As he slumped because of Anson and fell into despair losing Kendrick, it was this woman who always supported him. Staying faithful accompanied him in grief.

"It's okay, Rachel. Its alright. You must rise from the fall that Harry left behind. That guy doesn't deserve you. He's too cowardly for you."

Alice was disappointed. How could the man who had accompanied his best friend go away in the crucial moments leading up to the wedding. Leaving the bride without certainty is only due to fabricated cliche reasons. He died and went to hell. Alice began to swear.

"Is Maxen a good man? I mean, I'm not sure I heard the fact that you're stuck in a marriage with a guy like him."

Alice recalled how the man had a strong and domineering aura. Aura like the one Anson had back then. Alice knows it's not easy to keep up with people like that.

"We have limits on each other. I thought I'd be fine living with him for a while. At the end of the day, we can decide to get divorced after the time comes." Rachel calms Alice down. He did not want to make his theme worry excessively.

"Damn Harry. He really is a source of trouble for you." Alice shook her head. He hated this man even more.

"Alright, Alice. Forget about this problem. By the way, how are you progressing on the Anson case?" ask Rachel sympathy. He tries to get rid of his personal problems and lures Alice into discussing other topics.

"Drink, Madam." One of the servants broke their conversation. He brought a tray of coffee and some snacks. Alice nodded small and thanked him.

"Yes. Still in a deadlock."

Alice looked down inside. He had promised Klayver to cover up the matter in meetings. Everything about Anson and the steps to solve him was a secret that he could not share with anyone.

"Oh, then what action do you want to take next?" Rachel gently rubbed her theme arm. He patted her softly to give her little support to his best friend.

This is where Alice came to see Rachel. She had prepared herself to tell Rachel about her lightning marriage to Klayver. Now the problem was, how did he reveal this as naturally as possible so that Rachel did not feel suspicious at the decision he had taken?

"Rachel, do you believe in love at first sight?" alice began to doubt.

During her life, Alice does not believe in romance because of the love of lightning at the beginning of the meeting. How could he now explain this theory on his own theme? With himself as the main character. Waw. Totally bonkers.

Rachel shook her head strongly. "No, could there be love at first sight?"

Alice nodded in confusion. Rachel doesn't trust him. What else did Alice expect?

Alice was busy brainwashing her friends to believe what she wanted to say. He scratched the side of his head that was not itchy. It seemed, this was something that was quite difficult for him to do. All his life, he never did a skit in front of his own best friend.

"There is, of course, Rachel. You're the one who doesn't know."

"Alice, such love only exists in fairy tales. Nothing can represent that situation in reality." Alice took a cup of coffee and handed it to her theme. It seemed that Alice's current thoughts were a little off. He came to her just to talk about love.

Not just love. Love at first meet. Oh my God, it looks like Alice is stuck with a romance story so she wants to realize it in the real world.

"What if I told you I had fallen blindly in love at the first meeting?"

Uhuk uhuk

Rachel coughed violently a few times. She held onto her stomach to calm herself down and looked worriedly at Alice. Rachel's eyes glazed over. His face was shocked for a moment.

"Oh, did I make a mistake?" Alice asked helplessly. Oh my God, what's wrong with him?

"What drama are you playing to me, Alice? I know how deeply you love Anson. Although I hope that someday there will be more love for you, but I'm sure it will take a long process to get to that point."

Booms.

Rachel's words were like bombs going off in Alice's head. The woman was too sensitive to realize every thing that stuck out of her theme. It was impossible to actually hear Alice fall in love with another man in such a short time. Who is crazy enough to believe this?

"Rachel, I'm serious, I'm in love with someone else again."

Rachel looked at Alice, as if Alice was an astral being from another planet.

"Don't make jokes, Alice. My life has been full of drama lately" said Rachel throwing a pillow at her theme.

How'this? It wasn't easy to convince Rachel. After all, they had been friends for a long time. Rachel was too understanding of Alice's true mood and nature.

"I'm serious, Rachel. I fell in love at first sight and we decided to get married thirteen days from now.."

Alice was finally able to deliver this news as well. Caring for the devil Rachel will think crazy.

"Alice, why don't you just say that the earth is a box? You think I'm stupid enough to be lied to like this, Alice?"

Rachel stood up and kicked the end of the chair in annoyance at her theme's lies. He really lost his patience. Rachel was no longer interested in the words of her friends.

"Alice, you-"

"Rachel, I swear on my parents' graves. The next two months are my wedding day. I'm getting married to Klayver Vaquez, the man I met a week ago."
