The Rhyme of the Depositary

The Rhyme of the Depositary
094 - SEASON 2

Alice stared at the faint light in the distance. The morning greeted me again. Its rays pierced through the gaps of the clouds and tried to touch the earth without any obstructions.

Beneath him, the trees rippled in the wind. His voice was strong enough to pierce through Alice's thickly-bound room. Autumn will soon be at its peak. The leaves will be more and more scattered on the ground. Leaves a distinctive aroma of freshness until allowed to dry. Or if not, the janitors will schedule their members to picket alternately cleaning the city streets.

Alice stroked her stomach gently. Inside, there was a new life that he was waiting for his presence. The encouragement and companionship was quiet every night after Klayver's departure.

There is a miss who begat pinak. I want the house to go home. But Alice was only able to remain silent in the wait.

Life has all processes. The exam is the absolute thing that everyone has to go through. Something that will continue to present and complete the story to perfection.

Alice walked out of the room and headed for the kitchen to make warm tea. Lately Alice's stomach has been a little troubled. This pregnancy is more sensitive than the previous pregnancy. She should always drink something to relieve her morning sickness with warm tea or lemon tea.

The kitchen is empty. The day was still too early so the servants were busy with their own business before preparing breakfast as usual.

Alice makes hot tea with jasmine mixture and sits in the backyard to enjoy the morning. He placed the tea cup on a small table facing the back garden.

The wind felt piercing the skin, piercing the cotton pajamas he was wearing. His skull felt rustling called a fairly cold temperature. But the sunburns out there kept Alice here. Together with cold, bone-piercing air.

As Alice was enjoying this beautiful atmosphere, a shadow of someone she knew walked quickly to the back door and came out in a hurry. Alice closed her eyes to convince herself. That figure is like Sila. He seemed to be chasing something like he was having an emergency.

What made the servant in such a hurry? Could there be a family crash or something like that? But if it's true, why didn't Sila tell him anything? He didn't ask permission either.

Immediately, Alice stood up and walked to the space near the warehouse. The room that William often used to relax in the morning. Alice wanted to meet her current butler.

Justright. There, the old man was seen sitting full of authority with a cup of coffee. The hot steam billows upward, giving off a strong aroma of caffeine. William always loved coffee without sugar. Alice could imagine how delicious the liquid was. But since she was pregnant again, Alice could only suppress her wishes. His body has been getting caffeine too often. Not good for the fetus if he consumes the drink too often.

"Mrs, are you awake?" William was a little surprised. She rarely found Alice waking up this early. Could it be that the woman was not feeling well?

"Yes. Come to think of it, waking up early is good for my health as well." Alice sat down next to William who looked relaxed.

Good though. William's age is old. Seeing him sit this relaxed is an indication that the man's life is quite good. Without pressure and without sufficient load means.

"Indeed, the Madam will feel the benefits if used to get up early with dawn."

"Oh yeah? But it seems pretty heavy to me if it has to be every day. William, have you always been this disciplined through the day? I see you're the last one to rest and always the first to wake up."

William's dedication was huge. His devotion to this family is no longer worth asking. Sometimes, Alice thought there was nothing she could do to avenge what William had done to Mallory's extended family.

"It's formed automatically, ma'am. When a person has determined to serve a family, he will do anything for it." William explained.

For William, the Mallory family was the goal of his life. In the past, Anson's father had helped his father so that he had some kind of debt to serve this family all his life. After Anson's death, he dedicated his life to Alice and her son Axel. Those two people were becoming goals for him at this moment.

Although William knew he might not be able to watch Axel grow up because his age was no longer supportive, but William was quite satisfied to see the development of the child as old as possible.

Time is the main enemy of man. How many plans have man created and lost because time took its life first.

Time is a tool that can be cut off whenever he wants. How many millions of dreams the world produces and are extinct because time takes them to another realm.

That's life. Our power is limited by something people call age. Something will never be eternal under any circumstances. Although many fictional stories adore immortality, they are all pure wishful thinking.

"William, I almost forgot my purpose in looking for you. I just saw Sila coming out of the back gate in a hurry. Does he have an emergency problem? Is his family sick or something like that?"

William scrunched his forehead in. Her tears turned murky when Alice asked about this topic. He seemed reluctant to talk about it

"Maybe. I'll ask him later."

"He didn't leave you a message?"

"No. Haven't. Maybe it's emergency enough to not have time to tell me directly."

William's face was not happy. Alice wanted to say more, but seeing William's reaction to the lack of response, she became reluctant.

Alice leaned against the back of the chair and closed her eyes slowly. This calm atmosphere brings its own effect. His sleepiness began to perch, bringing him to sleep.

Somewhere, a young woman sits in a low chair facing a man named Luiz and a woman called Liza.

The woman just sat down, not daring to raise her gaze. Both hands are held together above the knee. Dealing with Luiz always made her feel depressed. The air around becomes tense.

"So, you guarantee that you can do what I say and keep your mouth shut, don't you?" Luiz asked the woman again.

Trust is the most sensitive thing. Luiz always selects someone he recruits in more detail than Liza. He was used to living in a dark world where betrayal and betrayal were commonplace.

That's why Luiz didn't want to take the risk. He was careful in putting his trust and not letting anyone infiltrate and play around with him.

Liza has known Luiz for a long time. The man could have tested his subordinates in absurd ways just to find out how deep the loyalty they had.

Liza still remembers what Luiz did when she first joined the organization. Luiz tortured him in an ice-cold room and froze his bones. The room was a cruel torture chamber. Every time Liza was barely conscious, she was hit with a stick-like instrument to regain consciousness.

It repeated for up to three days. Luiz wanted to try to find out how strong Liza wanted to be able to survive under the pressure. If he failed and gave up the process, Liza's life would have been lost long ago.

For Luiz, the lives of others never mattered. As long as the goal is fulfilled, no matter how much blood is shed, it is worth it.

Maybe Luiz's heart is made of titanium. Too strong to be penetrated and will not be softened by anything. Her body was lost long ago. There is only the mission of the organization and the success of its own dark business.

Ever since Liza knew about it, she had so planted a high degree of caution whenever dealing with Luiz. There was no way Liza would do such a careless thing on purpose. What awaits him is only a tragic end.

Looking at the woman before him now, Liza became worried. It was as if something bad was about to happen to him. Luiz always liked things that smelled of torture. Perhaps the man secretly harbored a powerful soul abnormality. With such a background in his life, it was natural for him to become a psychopath.

"Call two bodyguards!" Luiz ordered Liza. The woman immediately got up and did what the man wanted. He started to guess there would be unpleasant events.

Two large, well-built men with many tattoos on their backs and faces came to face Luiz. There was cruelty in their eyes.

The young lady who saw their arrival increasingly shriveled in fear. There was a small sense of regret that was beginning to form. Why should he choose this path and betray someone? The path he took turned out to have a big risk. If he knew it would be like this, he probably wouldn't have taken this step.

But things have turned around. He's late to back off. There's no turning back. Inevitably, he had to stay ahead and face the consequences.

"Do you know why I called you?" luiz asked the two guards with a faint smile. Knowing this, Liza chose to retreat and exit the room. Luiz who saw him only chuckled a little. Liza long ago had an indication her conscience was starting to awaken. Luiz had to anticipate before the woman finally did other things that could harm her.

The dark world is a cruel world. In this process, many feel guilty at the end of the chapter and experience inner conflict. Basically, everyone has a conscience. There was a point where they were crushed by guilt and chose to turn the course.

That's what Luiz doesn't like. He didn't like his men to rebel just out of conscience. Fuck the conscience. Luiz doesn't believe that. He only believed in all the things that were capable of making money and instant success. Stupid shit about goodness or something. For all he knew, the principle of kindness would not make people rich.

"Hand the woman, but don't die. If he chooses to give up in the process, just kill him and give the body to my beloved dog. Let's see how strong he is under pressure. I don't like people I recruit mentally weak and give up easily by circumstances."

That was all Luiz had said before a heart-wrenching scream finally sounded. The two bodyguards were busy beating up a young woman. In a short time, his face was no longer recognizable. Every corner of his face was covered in bruises, with a lot of blood pouring down. His bones are no longer where they should be. His joints were completely destroyed by two heartless bodyguards.

Please, with his shattered body, could only lie resigned. His breathing began to cramp ready to end at any time. Inwardly, he began to regret why he had chosen to betray Alice and join Liza just because of the lure of money. What a shameful thing.

If time turned around, he wanted to hang on and chose to stand by Alice's side. A good woman who has given him a lot of income and attention to the life of Sila.

Instead of being loyal and looking after Alice, he was actually interested in Liza's offer because the lure of money that was in fact exhausted in an instant. Now, his body was destroyed, his life was chaotic, his morals were gone, and his future was bleak.

Being Luiz's subordinate was a burden that undermined his conscience. Sila didn't want to spend her whole life trying to slay a demon like that. Somehow, later, he'll find a way to keep from being stuck with this organization forever.

Even if he had to lose his life once, maybe it was better than living in the dark with someone who had no conscience.

Please frown to endure the pain, giving in to total darkness when the pain was no longer bearable. His body gave up on losing. Choosing to be safe with unconsciousness.
