The Rhyme of the Depositary

The Rhyme of the Depositary
067 - SEASON 2

"Why did you bring that woman, Klayver?" Violin stared unhappily at her son as the man visited the family residence to pick up Axel.

Violin and James had already given each other codes when they saw Jasmine following their son with her revealing appearance. The woman is now sitting in the main room with a rolling cigarette in her hand. Without waiting to be offered, he had picked up his own top quality wine belonging to the Liecester family. Violin who sees it just throbbing does not like.

"She's the woman I'm taking home to look after Alice for a while." Klayver answered flatly.

Klayver had intended not to take Jasmine to the Violin residence. But in order to save time and catch a flight, she was forced to bring the woman to pick up her son directly.

"Wow. Why does your wife need a guard? Even if you need it, did you forget that our family has great resources? I can get some people to take care of my own son-in-law, instead of handing her over to that bawling lady you brought." Violin sat in her chair and shook her head in dislike.

This morning Violin plans to take Axel for a walk to a nearby park. But his mood instantly turned down at the lowest point of seeing Klayver visit by bringing a foreign woman to pick up her grandson. The event he had talked about with Axel had to be cancelled.

"I need to leave Alice for something, Mom. Maybe I'll need your men to keep me company but obviously, I don't want to use your men to look after Alice. Using them was like announcing to the world that Alice was related to the Liecester family. We both know it would be better to hide that now."

For now, Klayver still has not used Liecester's name as a last name. Just to fool people so they don't know Klayver's true background identity.

Some people know that the second son of the Liecester family is a great assassin. Unfortunately, this second son disappeared for so many years that people started to ignore his existence.

If Klayver suddenly forms a fairly conspicuous relationship with Violin, he is afraid that people are starting to suspect him. All this time he had tried to be careful whenever he visited or formed contact with the Liecester family.

Even to mask his identity, he always used commercial flights instead of the Liecester family's private jet. To get into this house, he used a special visit card to be able to trick many people that Klayver status is only a temporary visitor.

Regarding Axel, Violin extra carefully took care of the boy. He forbade his own granddaughter to call him grandma in public. Even Violin spread the issue if Axel was the son of his chief bodyguard. All that he did to protect Axel.

Having a connection with the Liecester family, in addition to bringing profits, also brought disaster. Many parties were eyeing them for an old grudge and mercilessly finishing them off.

Therefore, all of his children besides Klayver always carry a personal bodyguard at every opportunity. Although they were guarded secretly, but they were all protected. At the very least, his three children were quite strong and did not provoke too much trouble with the other sensitive party.

Different from Klayver. Although he is strong, but Klayver has offended many parties. The only way to cover up his identity was not to associate Klayver with the Liecester family directly.

"Your men have a special tattoo on the nape. If you send a few men to look after Alice, their whereabouts are easy to know and there will be speculation to link them to the Liecester family. It's not time for all that to happen yet. I needed to finish off many people and strengthen my wings before finally acknowledging my true identity. Can you understand that, Mom? Admit it, that woman is the best choice right now to look after Alice."

Violin weakly restored her hair and looked at Klayver with a sharp look in her eyes. He doesn't like it, but is powerless to argue. What Klayver said was the truth.

The violin always marks those loyal to it with a small dragon-shaped tattoo and two stars in the nape area. The tattoo is already famous so that people who see it will automatically relate it to the Liecester family.

If he sends his best men to protect Alice, it is possible that he will even expose Alice to danger. If anyone guessed Alice's connection to the Liecester family would definitely make people take advantage of Alice's weakened condition as a sandra or lure into even greater trouble.

"All right, I'm giving up this time. But can you guarantee that woman won't have a negative impact on Axel?"

Klayver can only grin a little. Indeed in hindsight, such a Jasmine would bring bad influence to her son. But how else? Klayver didn't have much of a choice this time.

"I'll talk to him about it later. I hope he can control himself a little bit if he's close to Axel."

"A little self-control, you say? He needs more than that. You should put her in a girls' ethics school first. Oh, my God, I know Jasmine's reputation. You think I don't know who he is? This half of New York talks about how good he is. She deserves the award for scoring the most prostitute house in the country." Violin squeaks not happy. He stood up and walked around the workspace to calm himself down. His emotions are overflowing. The move Klayver made at this moment enraged him.

"Isn't that a great achievement? Even you yourself can't rival him in terms of such an endeavor!" Kalyver chuckled amusedly, seeing Violin pacing back and forth with a sour face.

Seeing Violin like this was something extremely rare. Violin is always good at hiding emotions. Only extraordinary things can make him reveal his deepest emotions. Right now it is one of them.

"I don't have to go into business like that anymore. Back when I owned that business, at least I still had ethics so people still appreciated me. But look at her, her way of acting and behaving doesn't imply a woman at all."

"Dress and the stilettos she uses imply that she's a real woman, Mom." Klayver still likes to tease her mother.

"The "dress you call is a half-meter cloth of transparent material that she puts on her chest and well above her knees. Everyone can see what's behind it."

"Stop judging her, Mom. You don't usually act like this."

"I don't usually judge other people. But that man you're gonna put in a house with your wife and son. How can I not judge?" Violin hit the end of the glass table in front of her with a fist. Looks like his mother's anger this time is no joke.

"Can you control your emotions, Mom? I really need Jasmine." Now."

The mood became quiet. Violin closed her eyes for a long time, breathing regularly as taught by the yoga instructor she followed and taking it out slowly.

After calming down, Violin looked back at her son.

"alright. For the good of all parties, I chose to follow your options this time. Just make sure he doesn't have a fatal effect on Alice." Violin surrendered. He sat back down weakly on the chair. Instead of sympathy, Klayver laughed loudly.

Every time Violin relented, she would definitely fight it out first. James himself called it a lion.

"Why don't you just use a private jet instead of chasing commercial flights?" Jasmine asked curiously as they were in the car heading for the nearest airport.

"Have you never learned the precautionary formula? Why would I use my family's jet if the ones after that are hunting me will be more and more?" Klayver glanced in surprise at the woman sitting next to him.

Klayver controls Axel through the rearview mirror. The boy chose to sit in front with the driver because he was lazy to hear the endless debate between Klayver and Jasmine since they were in the same car.

Klayver gave a small smile seeing Axel had fallen asleep. Her head was slightly tilted towards the right and her tiny mouth opened slightly, salivating.

"Oh, I think you like being hunted by people." Jasmine chimed in on Klayver by shrugging both of her shoulders unconcerned.

"Between being hunted and looking for trouble is different thin. I think your brain is smarter than that."

"My brain is smart. You're the one who didn't see it."

"No. Your brain you put on your chest and hips, so you live by relying only on your body's assets."

"Oh come on, we both know my worth more than that. You should know better than anyone else." Jasmine said no. He glared sharply at Klayver and vented a vexation.

"Yes. Your brain has an advantage when it comes to robbing dollars from men's wallets. That's why your wealth multiplies all the time."

"Oh, just tell me you're still hurting because I took your mansion and your money yesterday." Jasmine said cynically. He folded his legs casually and tried to find a comfortable position. They have always played with words. Attacking each other.

"Don't talk about it again, Jasmine. Never mind. I'm tired." Klayver came to find a comfortable position and lay his head. He was tempted to do the same as Axel. Maybe this short trip can relieve some fatigue.

"Kutebak Violin would not agree you're using me as your beloved wife's protector." As Jasmine uttered the "lovely wife" part, the corner of her lips she pulled off in such a way as insinuation.

Klayver regrets that she trusted Jasmine so much that she exposed all the secrets she had, including the identity of Liecester's family.

As a result, now the woman becomes more and more nyinyir commenting on every thing about his family. Really troublesome.

"Of course not. You think my mom's crazy to approve of a woman like you being in the same room as my family?" Klayver chuckled amusedly, feeling he had the ingredients to make fun of Jasmine.

"You have cornered me too often as far as morality is concerned. Stop judging."

"All right."

Klayver did not want to extend the talks. He also did not want to judge Jasmine too much. After all, Klayver's life was nothing like darkness. It is free to judge others because they are no better than themselves.

"We're all equally caught in the dark. What do we expect if it's not a joke?" Klayver said with closed eyes.

Jasmine turned her head out the window, staring at the bustling streets of New York. The car passes like an automatic game whose cycle never stops. Each individual is always busy with his own business.

Several times, Jasmine looked at the vagrant who chose to sit on the corner of the street without a pedestal at all. Only a backpack accompanied them. No one cares. The pedestrian continued his steps without looking. The driver continued on his way and refused to stop.

The ego. It is basic human nature. Each soul tends to think of itself and leaves little concern for the other. It's sad, but that's the reality of life. The only thing that can change our fate is our own hands. Other people don't play a role in it.

Indeed, there are a handful of people who still hold little concern for the lower classes. But the "twist" will never be able to support the burden of many people's lives. There is, help is only for a moment. After that cruel life will return they greet.

Jasmine had once been in such a position. Alienated, cornered, and wasted. Until the only way to escape is to discard all remaining morals.

Let it be now that people consider it jalong, lacur, or cheap. What is clear is that judgmental mouths never really care about the burden of life that he once suffered. They also did not give a bite of bread when the winter came until he had once begged only for a grain.

How pathetic? Indeed indeed. But that's life. Walking straight without caring for many people stumble to just live day by day.

Now, when Jasmine was at the top, she was paying attention to her ears and turning a blind eye to all that insignificant nonsense. To him, as long as he had money and treasures in abundance, he did not care what was valued as low as what.

For those who have ever felt hungry, they will know that being a lacur is not as low as when you are looking for a piece of bread just can't. Until you have to walk up to each person just wearing old rombeng clothes torn here and there. The cold air once made Jasmine faint repeatedly. He used to live in London. Every winter he arrived was a long tragedy that he had to go through second by second.

Now, Jasmine no longer needed to feel all that. In New York the season is not as harsh as London. The air was warmer, the mansion guaranteed his life, and all the amenities he could afford. What else should he be worried about? Life's perfect.

Care for the devil if he has to pay with all the etiquette Jasmine has. Ethics and morals can never fill your stomach. Don't be too naive. Sometimes we have to be realistic.

Jasmine closed her eyes in a blink and chose to fall asleep for a while. Body's tired. His soul is like that too.
