The Rhyme of the Depositary

The Rhyme of the Depositary
009 - SEASON 2

Alice flinching. He blinked his eyes not understanding. Looks like he just heard the definition of a psychopath from the way William lays out about Eyes Evil.

"Uh, are you sure about what you just said?"

William nodded steadily. "That's why people always detect the presence of Evil Eyes from every place that has a case of the death of a beautiful woman who died for no apparent reason after having a biological relationship."

William stood up and crossed his two hands.

"Nobody ever knew who spread this news, but there used to be a woman who said that Evil Eyes was a man who had a tattoo of three yin and yang symbols with dragon patterns in between. The symbols are very unique and are located in a fairly closed part of the body."

William stared at the floor like he was trying to figure something out. He then continued his explanation. His old face seemed to be getting older as he brought up this topic.

"Since then, the enemies of Eyes Evil spread a lot of beautiful women to seduce anyone suspected of being Eyes Evil. They have the task of informing where the tattoo marks are located. It was then that news began to emerge of the sudden death of the women who accompanied the night of a man with the characteristics of Eyes Evil."

Alice massaged her head as she re-digested this news. So in order to silence his existence, Evil Eyes killed them all? But isn't that a pretty stupid act too? Allowing the news of the women's deaths only made his enemies more suspicious of him and marked his existence.

"Over time, the incident became a habit that he brought. Whoever random woman approaches him will kill. Either he was sent by the enemy or he wasn't. That's why the enemies are getting easier to target themselves. And eight days ago, there was news of the death of this beautiful woman with no apparent cause in Manhattan. The woman who was still lying on the bed in a state of innocence without clothes."

Alice wails. He began to feel the explanation. Who is Eyes Evil? Why does it bring so many puzzles to so many people?

While Alice was still unknowingly processing the information provided by William, the new phone in the back pocket of her jeans shook. There's a call from Leon. Alice was wide. This call was really from Leon.

Twelve days ago when they met, Leon gave Alice a special cell phone. He said the phone was set with high security so it could not be hijacked by anyone. Alice accepted it and thought that she should have an infornation device that guaranteed her safety. Leon also gave her a new sim card.

"Hello." Alice opened the conversation.

"Hello Alice, I've already told you what you mean. Eyes Evil made your appointment tomorrow at seven in the morning at a restaurant. I'll send the place in more detail later." Leon paused for a moment before finally continuing, "he wants you to come alone."

It was then that Alice felt jolted and scared at the same time.

Alice stood by the side of the window. He was busy digesting many things. He was picking through the priority scale in an instant.

Eyes Evil has been willing to meet him. Something he never thought would happen. Alice's emotions became capricious. He needed the man, but the fear he had was also great towards him. He was not sure he could face the man given how much bad news about his character.

Alice actually intended to take William. He was asked to go alone. He can't risk violating the terms and it could end badly. But he is also quite depressed at the thought of meeting an unaccompanied high-class assassin.

William took the initiative to follow Alice silently. Perhaps Alice would allow the man to do so to strengthen his security. He needs to be monitored directly.

Alice was a little worried. Tomorrow is Rachel's wedding reception. Maybe he could have passed the important moment, considering Rachel had sacrificed a lot for him.

What should he do now? Alice grunted in frustration as she flailed the end of the window. God, why is it so complicated like this.

Alice strengthened her resolve as she began to decide what she was going to do. He snatches Leon's new cell phone and contacts Rachel. He has to explain all this.

"Hello? Sorry who?" rachel said in a flat tone.

"Hey, Rachel. It's me." It's me."

"Alice, did you change the number again?"

Rachel asked confusedly. His voice is a little tired. Surely Rachel's energy drained a lot to welcome her wedding day. He should now be lying down comfortably enjoying a spa treatment for tomorrow. Alice guessed Rachel wouldn't have done any of that.

"Yes, that's it. Rachel, I want to tell you something." Alice's voice turned serious.

"What's up, Alice? Is there another problem?" Rachel started to sound worried.

Alice felt more guilty about her theme. The care Rachel gave was very high for him. But Alice still could not reply to that.

"I have a connection to someone who can help me solve the death of my husband and children. But he wants me to see him tomorrow in person. Are you okay if I don't go to your wedding?" Alice asked the giddy. She couldn't guess what kind of response Rachel would give her. Could he be a very outrageous friend?

"Sorry I'm so unfair, Rachel, sorry I-"

"Hey, stop feeling guilty, Alice. I know that meeting must have been very important to your case. Do what is best for you right now. I will always support you."

Rachel spoke softly. He understood all the difficult situations Alice was going through. He was kind enough not to judge any action taken by his theme.

"Rachel, thank you." Alice's voice was slightly choked. Both of his eyes began to tear. He was very touched to hear the care given by his best friend.

"You've always been my best friend, you know? I won't be mad just because you didn't attend my wedding. Do what's important to you right now and let me know about the development, okay?"

Tears had flowed slowly on both of Alice's cheeks. She sobbed a little and revealed how happy it was to have a friend as good as Rachel. They had been close for so long, understanding and strengthening each other.

Alice promises that if the case is over, she will give Rachel a big surprise. Perhaps, they should do a cruise around the continent. That thought really made Alice happy.

Rachel rubbed her engagement ring. Inside, Harry's name is beautifully engraved. He was happy that their relationship was finally anchored in the marriage.

After many hardships they went through, after a long time he did not get the blessing of Harry's extended family, finally happiness happened as well.

Yep. Rachel and Harry's relationship is difficult to get the blessing of Harry's big family. Especially her half-sister, Maxen Millian.

At first, Rachel didn't understand why she didn't get her blessing. But, after she learns of Harry's powerful and powerful background, she finally realizes Rachel is far from worthy of Harry.

Rachel is a nobody. He's just a waitress who's too lucky to know Harry. Her background was not a great background on par with the extended family of her future husband. But he has sincerity and honesty. It's not a treasure-crazy woman who would justify any means to luxury. No. gabe. Rachel is not that kind of woman.

Rachel once guessed, could it be that the reason Harry hid their relationship was to protect himself from Harry's often judgmental extended family? Rachel believes Harry must have done it for her own good.

Now, inevitably, Harry's family allowed this wedding. Their relationship has been going on for years, where else would they take it if not to the marriage?

Rachel looked at her watch. Ten minutes to the wedding begins. A beautiful smile was wrapped around the corner of her lips. What he looks forward to will also happen.

But there was a strange happening. Rachel waited for half an hour more and there was no development of the situation. Many people, especially Harry's family, were heard whispering to each other and struggling. The perias are the same. They look confused walking here and there.

Rachel tried asking one of the wedding organizers and got no answer. He started to walk in no direction. Rachel decided to go out and find out for herself. But just as he stepped out of the room, he was startled by the arrival of Maxen Millian.

"Is something wrong?" rachel asked confused.

Every time she came face to face with Harry's half-sister, Rachel always felt intimidated. He had a cold and domineering aura. Very different from his friendly and sociable sister.

Harry once said that after Dad died ten years ago, Maxen inherited all the family business. He became the backbone for Mom and her sister. He is a great driver in business.

Maybe that's why his character is different from his sister. They are one father but different mothers. Their nature is like the earth and the sea.

Maxen handed Harry a handwritten piece of paper. Rachel started to open with trembling. He felt something bad had just happened.

Harry's extended family began to approach them one by one. Alena, Harry's mother and Harry's three cousins, not far from Rachel, stood up to him. Their faces were pale. Two of Harry's aunts also showed tense expressions. Only Maxen was still acting flat.

A white paper is written in black ink manually. Well engraved by Harry's hand with a description of his name. The words in the paper are written.

Sorry Rachel for everything. I don't think I can continue this marriage. I was hesitant and didn't know what to do. Let me calm down and don't look for me for a while.

Your cowardly lover, you,

Harry Millian's.

That's when Rachel felt the world was falling in front of her. He held his chest that felt increasingly tight. His brain refused to digest the fact he had just read. All of Rachel's fingers were starting to feel cold. His knees were wobbly and ready to fall at any moment.

Is this really happening? Of all the times, Harry chose this moment to give him a bitter reality. Why didn't the man talk about all this? Should all problems have a way out?

Rachel was betrayed. His face was pale. Her white wedding dress made fun of her. Several guests curious about the incident begin to approach them, but are blocked by Harry's three male cousins.

Although they all initially disapprove of this relationship, but Harry's family is a sporty family. If they had already decided to accept, they would have considered Rachel to be part of this family. The family's solidarity was so high that Rachel was amazed by their attitude.

"Is he seriously doing all this?" rachel asked in a stifled tone. Anna, who witnessed all the events could only cry bitterly. What tragedy did her sister go through this time? Why did Rachel's dream marriage end even before the bond.

Many guests have arrived. Although this party is considered a simple event, but for Rachel still feels big. He has different standards to Harry's family.

A wedding party with six hundred guests was a lavish event for Rachel. How could he possibly face all this? How did he face the faces of the guests? How could he straighten his face and hold back the veins of shame? How can he overcome this pain?

"He's serious. He left this morning in his car. We all thought he was just going to the nearest place to take care of something. But he did not return for more than three hours. His phone is also off." Alena explained with teary eyes. She clasped Rachel's arm to strengthen.

Alena felt sharp. Previously he was too petty to refuse this kind woman. Now as he begins to accept, Harry does something crazy by leaving his bride alone. He had already told many people to look for his son, but Harry's whereabouts were still a complicated puzzle.

"How can he do all this?" Rachel wailed bitterly. He was getting stronger touching his chest with despair.

Is it in Harry Rachel's eyes a game? Was it worthless in Harry's eyes? Is that as low as it's worth?

How could Harry play with this wedding. To whom else Rachel would complain. His life turned into a bad story in a matter of hours.

Rachel disappointed. Six years he has given everything. Six years he waited for Harry in silence. Six years he maintained an unhealthy relationship. Six years he harbored all grievances.

Now it ends horribly. The happy ending is far from her. Life only offers a total void in his life. Rachel felt deeper and deeper. Very deep.

Rachel looked at them one by one and gave a small nod. He understands this condition. He wanted to be mature and face with courage. Rachel began to gather the strength she still had to stay firm and strong. But Maxen suddenly proposed something.

"This marriage is in sight. We can't undo all this at the last minute. What if I take Harry's place. Let me marry you to save the situation. A year after this rumor subsides, let's take care of each other's divorces."
