The Rhyme of the Depositary

The Rhyme of the Depositary
139 - SEASON 2

Klayver has cleared up his last problem. He had intended to return to Manhattan, but on the way he contacted someone to do another mission. Actually Klayver was reluctant to do so, but considering the person who contacted him was one of his trusted friends, Klayver could not just silence him. He eventually decided to postpone his return and stayed in London for a week later.

The longing Klayver felt for Alice was no longer contained. The few months he spent without his wife were the longest. Every second of it was excruciating and endless.

To cure his longing, Klayver sends someone he trusts to check on Alice's condition. Currently Klayver is not fully able to communicate because it is hampered by the mission he has to do for his friend. But at least he can guarantee Alice's safety through the hands of others. However, he needs immediate reassurance if his wife is okay.

"Can you go to Manhattan to find out about my wife?" pinta Klayver on a man named Edward. The flat-looking man with the age of three heads nodded, indicating he was willing to do what Klayver asked.

Edward is an old man who Klayver believes is one of the intermediaries for his business. When there are clients who need services from him, Edward is usually one of the few people who receive and arrange tariffs. He also mediated to do the deal. It has been more than five years since Edward became Klayver's intermediary. He arranged the detail stuff about Klayver in a very perfect way.

"I wonder how a man like you can finally have a wife. Which woman could last more than a month with a demon like yourself?" Edward joked with a small laugh that made his masculine face look soft.

"Special woman of course. A woman who can take me to the roots. The kind of rare woman you'll probably never meet." Klayver smiled slightly, imagining Alice's delicate and charming face.

It was a miracle he found Alice. God has sent one of His lights in the form of Alice. Lifting Klayver from dark life to light.

As Klayver thinks she will immerse herself in a dark world and an endless life path, Alice comes to bring new hope. A new hope he knew was called love. Something that has been a lot of fairy tales. In fact, all of that can happen. The world is funny sometimes. Give something that was previously almost impossible to happen.

"alright. Seeing you really fall in love is quite surprising. Just be careful, Klayver. You're the one who once stained your hands with blood. Don't let you hurt your wife because of the past you have." Edward reminded. Each past has its own risks and consequences. It could be, someone will also get the effects of the past sins of his partner.

"I know my past and my present are still gray. Not gray, but tends to be black. But believe me, I will do anything to protect my wife and those closest to me. They have no right to take away the sins of the past that I committed." Klayver looked up at the bright London sky. It's spring soon. The weather is getting better and warmer than before.

They are now sitting in a garden chair. Many other people were walking around them. Some of them deliberately bring a favorite dog to unwind and let the animal go around entertaining themselves with its distinctive bark.

A very perfect afternoon. The sun looks friendly by spreading its rays to all objects. The wind rustled gently, greeting Klayver's skin that was left bare up to his upper arm.

"You really love her, don't you?" Edward glanced at the man beside him.

In this world, sometimes we do not understand the many processes that occur. There is something that has happened with the provisions of nature, something that happens because it is outside the lines of nature. For Edward, Klayver's marriage was beyond reason. How can a man of great murder seem to fall and love deeply to a woman. A woman who when Klayver remembers her, her eyes will look more radiant and radiant with a charming light. Whoever that woman was, Edward was sure she must have managed to steal Klayver's heart completely. A woman who is no ordinary woman.

"Very. He's a big part of the color I have" Klayver said with a hovering look.

They both stayed silent for a long time. It was as if their attention was centered on the beautiful London skyline. Their minds are busy thinking about something.

"Could such love exist?" edward asked in a soft tone.

Edward was a pretty handsome man with sturdy bones and an oval face. Her hair was silver with golden neutrals. He was like a walking angel. But in terms of love, good looks are not a guarantee. In fact, at her ripe age, she had not managed to find the foreign reaction Klayver had.

A foreign reaction that some people consider love. The foreign reaction that everyone has been adoring all this time. Foreign reactions that he said were like interconnected electric shocks.

"Unfortunately, that exact definition is too difficult to pin down."

"Indeed. The definition of right is not just about beauty, appearance, physical, or the like. It just happened. Only nature knows the process." Klayver pulled on the lips, commenting on the small smile.

No one ever thought Klayver's heart would be tethered to a woman like Alice. No one knew he would stop at a woman like her. Who would have thought? In the midst of all the uncertain paths of his life, in the middle of his story full of twists and turns, God gave him a special place of rest.

"Are you happy?" edwad's face showed a questionable look.

Happy is a word that has the most complex definition. Something that has a relative meaning to each individual. Klayver could not give a concrete meaning perfectly in the matter this time.

"What kind of happiness do you mean? Some people have their own version of it every time they say they are happy. Some make money a barometer of happiness. There are those from physical pleasure, with many couples, culinary, and touring. There is also happiness judged from the spiritual condition of a person. What kind of happiness do you mean?" Klayver tries to expand the meaning of happiness itself. Everyone has their own point of view.

"I myself don't know what I mean. It seems that up to this moment I am still figuring out the meaning of happiness itself."

Klayver nodded small. He was not surprised to hear the confession Edward gave. There are times when people question the true meaning of happiness. Which way is his life, and what he is looking for.

Everyone will have a time when he questions himself. What he really is, what he is looking for, and what the real purpose of life is. It will not be forever someone will just live what the world presents just like that. Someday, Klayver believes Edward will think as deeply about this as he does. Therefore, at this time he could only give his spirit without a word, hoping that Edward would surely find a way as he found the way.

" Edward, in fact, in this world we are but a tiny fraction of a handful of parts of nature. In time, we will certainly look for meaning and try to uncover what we really want for the real life. It will not be forever we will just be silent and undergo monotonous activities like we have been through for a long time. There are many secrets and there are many meanings that nature hides from us. In order to achieve it, we have to pursue it. So I suggest, from now on, look for your own happiness. Whether it is related to the people you care about, related to your life goals, or related to your desires during this time. Each one has a different description. Find the meaning of your own value!" Klayver gave me advice.

Klayver was not trying to patronize, he was just trying to share what he knew. Share his experience. Hopefully, Edward can find what he's looking for, too.

This is how life is. Every thing has a gap and its meaning in particular. Something special is worth looking for.

This afternoon was a deep conversation for Edward. He never thought that behind Klayver's other side, the man held meaning in life and love. He was also quite surprised to realize Klayver could share his vast thoughts with Edward. As people know, Klayver is a man who rarely speaks and is classified as keeping all the heart words. His opinion is rarely expressed to others. He tends to be quiet and chooses to be a passive person.

Unexpectedly, this time Klayver was quite clear in defining something. His eye light felt different and warmed up. It made Edward finally know the love that made Klayver change. The cruel light in his eyes became softer. The cold look on his face diminished every time he talked about his wife. She must have been a very special symbol.

Who could have guessed that finally men like Klayver could be destroyed because of women. An unusual woman, of course. A woman who is only God knows what her soul is like.

Edward believes that only a pure female soul can defeat a cold killer like Klayver. A demon always needs a gentle touch. A touch that no one has ever given.

"You're right, Klayver. Alright. Looks like our meeting got here. Tomorrow as you go on another mission, let me see your wife's condition."
