The Rhyme of the Depositary
NINETEEN

Alice is taken to a nearby hospital by Rachel. Since his tent had broken, he had to be induced first to make his contract happen. Four hours passed without anything happening. Alice was getting worried. While Rachel who was by his side, looked even more chaotic. He had contacted Anson and William at Alice's request.

"G ... " Rachel screamed softly, feeling her contract begin to happen.

"Is everything okay?" Rachel clasped Alice's arm tightly. He looked at a nurse who was standing leisurely not far from them.

"Can you do something to her?" Rachel was upset with the annoying nurse.

"Md. White had just felt her first contraction. Maybe in a few hours the baby will be out. I'll leave you first" he said guiltlessly leaving them.

"Oh my God, I'm gonna kill that nurse. He could have left you in this situation. " Rachel's inflamed.

"How's Anson?" alice asked to know.

"He was flying here three hours ago. It will arrive soon. William has been here since. The old man was worried about dying. If I hadn't seen you in pain, I would have enjoyed his wizened face." William has always been flat. Alice was comforted to hear the man being able to feel worried.

Alice's contractions went faster than expected. He was nearing the end when Anson came to him with a very chaotic look. A doctor and two nurses accompanied Alice.

"Yes Lord Alice. I thought he was only gonna be out in a month." Anson stared in disbelief. He saw Alice who began to push following the doctor's instructions. Rachel, who saw Anson's arrival, opted out.

"This child chose his own time to see the world, Anson," said Alice. His face was covered in sweat.

"Can you push stronger next contract? Take a deep breath, and press your strength harder. His head started to appear. You should be able to get him out. Once his head appears, we'll pull his body!" The doctor's order justifies the position of Alice's legs to be more forceful thrusting.

"Let's Alice, you can do it" Anson's pinta clasped Alice's arm.

Alice gripped the head of the bed tighter. He took a deep breath, waiting for the next contraction. With all her energy, she began to push.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaahhh"

"Good, keep going ... his head starts to appear .. Come on one more time."

"Ahhh hah hah aaaaaahh." Alice felt an increasingly stinging sensation of heat. The baby's head came out slowly. Quickly, the doctor pulled the head of the tiny creature and made his body completely free.

A baby cry sounded slashing. His voice was loud and he cared for his ears. With a smile, Alice looked at the little creature that was being cleaned by the doctor.

"Prepare to remove the placenta" the doctor handed the baby to Anson and guided Alice back.

Alice stared at the happiness that emanated clearly from Anson's countenance. The man's face softened observing the tiny wonder in his carrier.

"Good." The doctor said satisfied. He took the baby from Anson's hand and laid it on Alice's chest. He said to do skin to skin contact.

Alice watched her baby boy's face slowly. Her hair was black and her eyes black. The texture of his face and hair he inherited from Anson. Their resemblance is almost perfect. His mouth twitched uneasily creating a small gust of sound.

"Baby boy weighing three point one kilogram. All his body condition is normal and does not need to be incubated because he was born four weeks early. No need to worry if your body hasn't come out yet. That's natural. In one to three days, your breast glands will be working smoothly." The doctor said calm. She checked carefully Alice's condition, making sure no further bleeding occurred. After two minutes of pressing down on Alice's stomach and seeing the response of her womb, she was relieved.

"Everything is normal, Ms. Whites. Take your time to rest, if you have any complaints you can call one of the nurses." The doctor left them.

"Relance ... She really looks like you," said Alice proudly showing their son.

"Yes. He's amazing" he said in amazement. Alice turned to the man, and caught another strange emotion. Like something's wrong. What happened to Anson?

...

Alice has been in care for three days. Things have improved, but doctors have not allowed him to go home. Maybe tomorrow he can persuade Anson to take him home. Being in the hospital for too long is pretty boring. Alice was amazed at how Anson had been able to stay in the hospital for so long after the accident. He alone who stayed here for a few days already felt imprisoned for quite a long time.

Rachel visited him a few times. She was always waiting for an opportunity to hold Axel, her baby. That tiny creature was truly capable of taking everyone's attention. Kimberly must be looking forward to waiting for him at home.

Alice is alone now. Anson was taking Axel away for a walk in the hospital park. Rachel also did not visit him, maybe he was busy with work that was lately neglected because of taking care of Axel's birth. His manager must have preached him with all the contents of God's revelation. Alice could imagine how upset Rachel's face was receiving all the ravings of her superior. Amusingly. Manager Rachel is a true theist, she always reads old books that feel foreign about morals for each of her works that break the rules. Rachel calls it the weekly sermon.

Door opens. Anson went in alone without Axel. He slowly approached Alice.

"Where's Axel?" ask Alice.

"Put it in the baby's room. You need a little break."

Anson went around Alice's bed. He stood his back to Alice facing the window to the outside.

"You still don't want to marry me?" ask Anson.

"I told you I don't want to get married before your memory returns." Alice sat down, facing Anson's back.

"Even after our baby is born?" Anson asked in a slightly sharpened tone. Could it be that she was getting tired of being rejected by Alice?

"Don't talk about it again, Anson." Their talks will heat up even more if they continue.

Anson turned around quickly. His eyes locked onto Alice in a frightening manner.

"I thought you'd say that, Alice. You're a great showman" he said with a cynical smile.

Alice looked at Anson in disbelief. His lips were shaking violently.

"You came into my life, came when my condition was vulnerable for you to use and claimed to be my future fiancee. You're pregnant my son is even willing to give birth to her."

Alice stood up grabbing Anson weakly, but was immediately pushed aside by him. Hate began to burn through his unclosed eyes.

"You remember everything? Since when is Anson?"

"Four months ago, why? You don't imagine your cipher breaking this fast? You're a lowly woman who volunteered for a wad of money. I wonder why you insisted on keeping your fetus and not aborting it. Isn't that easier for you? Oh I know. Because the fetus can be a means of exchanging money. As long as that fetus is in your stomach, you have the opportunity to take all the material benefits from me, don't you?"

Alice never expected words to have the power to scratch someone's heart so sharply. If only Anson's words could be displayed visually, surely thousands of daggers had been successfully inscribed for Alice.

Anson had his recollection four months ago. That means, everything he did to Alice all this time was just a charade? Their romantic dinners, their romance activities, their attention, everything has no meaning?

"I waited for you for four months. I wonder how far your cipher goes. I decided to play a role with you. If you can pretend, why can't I?"

"I'm claiming to be your future fiancee because I know that's the only way you're gonna let me get close to you. I lied to you, but can you see my sincerity, Anson?"

Anson walked around the bed, looked at Alice and laughed bitterly at her explanation.

"Then why don't you accept my proposal? Wouldn't marrying me be more financially secure, Alice? Your goal can be achieved easily. But I know how your cunning brain works. You refused to marry me, simply because you didn't want to be tied to a disabled man like me. Because if you marry me, you can't play games with me anymore and have to be stuck with me forever."

Alice nodded weakly. That's not what Alice expected.

"I don't want to get married because I don't want to be judged on framing you, Anson. If I marry you, when your memory comes back you will definitely think I intend to rule over your property by tying myself to marriage." Alice tries to persuade Anson. He patiently approached the man he loved.

"You're a great woman who's good at Alice's words, you've even prepared a great excuse in a situation like this. I know you've stayed by my side, with no strings attached, just to take all the advantage of my attention. When your cunning is exposed, you can escape from me without getting stuck with me."

"You succeeded brilliantly. But it's fine. All the jewelry and my money I've given your company is worth paying for my own stupidity."

Isn't that all Anson gave it willingly? Why is he now accused of manipulating Anson's actions?

"I'll give it back if it can make our relationship last, Anson." Alice gave up on losing.

"Of course you'll say anything to keep me. Restoring all of that is worth getting all of my real wealth."

Oh God. He was always judged wrong. What is the man's brain made of?

"What do I do to make you believe me, Anson?" Alice clasped the bed's legs weakly. He doesn't know what else to explain in a way to get Anson to believe.

"You can take all that money and jewelry. But you have to get out of my life, don't touch me anymore. Let me live quietly with my son. I've done a DNA test. I didn't think a woman as low as you could contain my flesh blood."

Alice wildly. He's planning on taking Axel? His from? Not likely.

"You can't possibly take it. She's mine. I'm not giving it up." Alice shouted furiously.

"You want to keep him? So that I can always donate my money to you all your life?" Anson asked cynically. Look down on Alice.

"******** you're Anson. You can't threaten me. Legally I'm her birth mother."

"By law I'm also his biological father. I'll still get Axel even if I have to go through court. You think after I expose your low morale, will the judge grant you custody? I have the power to move the law to side with me, Alice."

Anson walked with controlled steps leaving Alice.

"Remember. Don't touch my life again. I could have spoiled you all this time. But I can also destroy anything you have. Trust Alice, I can make you suffer so much if you dare to fight me."

Anson disappeared behind the door, leaving behind a lot of unspeakable grief.

Alice sat helpless. His strength was like being lost to the earth. All of his bones lost their function. His water is no longer able to hold. His chest felt tight looking for channeling.

Finally ... This is all over too. After the days he spent with fear. After a second he lived with anticipation, the tragedy still greeted him.

Alice moved uneasily. Axels. He should see it now. With his remaining energy, he ran his doormat into the baby's room. Alice was like a madman looking for her child. He called out to every nurse.

"Where's my baby? Isn't here? Why don't I see him?" tanya Alice clutched the collar of one of the nurses.

"Md. White, your son has been brought home by Mr. Mallory two hours ago. He has finished his entire administration" said a nurse trying to calm down.

"What's? How can you hand it over to him? he's my son .. how can you do that. Give me my son back now." Alice is getting more and more in love. He encouraged anyone who tried to calm himself.

"Where's my son? Where are you hiding?"

"Md. White, sir is your son's biological father. He has taken care of everything with his attorney today" William explained suddenly. The butler stood up with his head slightly bowed.

"Oh no. My son ... Oh my god ... Not my son ...."

"Md. Whites. I'm here to take care of your return and bring the items and jewelry that you have from your house. From today you will return to your old home."

Alice could hear nothing more from William. The consciousness is gone. He was lying helplessly on the cold hospital floor.

With a fatherly attitude, William carried Alice cautiously.
