The Rhyme of the Depositary

The Rhyme of the Depositary
079 - SEASON 2

Alice had a confused face. He blinked his eyes a few times and increasingly felt unreasonable.

What did Jasmine say? To become stronger? Just be right.

Jasmine hit Alice's leg to resuscitate this woman. Sometimes, seeing Alice dazed like this was funny as well. Makes Jasmine want to laugh out loud.

"You look like an idiot, you know?" Jasmine said frankly.

One thing Alice had learned from Jasmine all along. The woman was always forthright in all situations. Her mouth was too honest, so sometimes Alice thought that a type of woman like Jasmine was not suitable to be included in the scope of the nobility whose all acts were full of rules. Jasmine is a scourge in itself.

"What do you mean, Jasmine?" Alice asked curiously.

"Alice, open your eyes wide. You're a beautiful and extraordinarily intelligent woman throughout intellectual matters. But you're the dumbest man in terms of intrigue and power."

Alice was in disbelief. Jasmine was the first person to say a stupid word to Alice twice in one minute. Either this woman's brain is impaired, or Alice's own brain is starting to be damaged by being forced to think too hard.

"Stop saying I'm stupid, Jasmine. I'm not that bad." Alice inflamed. He got up from his seat, walked around the study and chose to sit comfortably on a large chair behind his desk. Adjacent to Jasmine made Alice's way of thinking chaotic. That woman is a true trouble maker.

"alright. You're not stupid. You just suck. Don't you realize your facial expressions are always easily readable by others? Your way of thinking is easily guessed by others? Your kindness is clearly reflected in your facial expression, anyone who knows you knows that you're as good as a saint."

"I'm not santa. Enough, Jasmine. Don't make fun of me too much!" Alice began to not accept. He frowned, forming small, clear lines.

"I'm not making fun of you. I'm just trying to tell you what I caught from you. For the size of a woman who's Klayver's wife, you're pretty innocent."

"So, what do you expect from me?" Alice asked unsure.

Alright. Jasmine is right. As Klayver's wife, Alice indeed felt too innocent. Many times he felt like the party knew nothing and was only protected by Klayver at all times. In fact, almost all of Klayver's dark secrets, Alice wasn't allowed to know. All of that must be for Alice's sake.

Sometimes, Alice feels Klayver is carrying a lot of burdens that she does not share with him. He kept it to himself, keeping it a secret in such a way for fear of what he would do to incriminate Alice.

Their relationship went well, with Klayver as the heaviest receiver of the load. Not once did Alice wish that she was strong enough to accept all Klayver's complaints.

If only she was not a weak woman. If only she wasn't a fragile woman. Perhaps, he and Klayver will face the world together hand in hand. It wasn't always Klayver's back and took cover behind it.

"Don't feel too guilty, Alice. It is natural for a man to protect his wife and children. You're not guilty at all. You can accept that Klayver has been a blessing to him." Jasmine looked at the obvious guilt from Alice's two eyes. He became sorry too because he had previously cornered Alice in such a way.

"You don't have to say that, Jasmine. I know how useless I am for Klayver right now." Alice's eyes glazed over, draining the clear details in the wetness.

To feel useless is the saddest feeling of a human being. It gnawed continuously in his heart and caused many other effects.

"That's not what I mean. I'm sorry, Alice. It seems I've said something wrong before." Jasmine felt regret.

Sometimes, one of the things Jasmine regretted about him was the ability of his mouth to carelessly speak. He tends not to think before.

"You don't have to apologize. That's the truth." Alice smiled slightly, feeling frail and frail.

Alice was raised in a normal family. Families that don't prepare their children for a murder tragedy or something. So that the person of Alice formed like other women in general. Soft and a little stubborn.

Who would have thought the way of life led Alice to many twists and turns of foreign stories. He was paired with Anson and then Klayver. Two men who are both engaged in a dark world that is all measured by strength and courage.

If you know this, Alice will choose to take military school and colonize all fields of martial arts. That way, right now at least he could be a little useful in helping Klayver.

"I actually have a simple idea. What if I give you some basic skills?"

Alice looked at Jasmine with a puzzled look. He blinked a few times, astonished.

Basic abilities?

"Wait wait! Whatchu mean?" Alice stood as fast as lightning, walking closer towards Jasmine. He still did not know what Jasmine meant to say that.

Jasmine confirmed the position of her hair that was starting to come out of her initial order and rubbed it gently.

"I have a bit of martial skills and skill using some weapons. Are you interested in teaching him? The next six months, though I can't guarantee you'll be great beyond measure, but at least good enough to defend yourself in times of emergency."

Jasmine smiled slightly, feeling a little unsure Alice would accept her offer. It all depends on Alice's will. He can't force it.

"You sure about that? I'm very prepared, Jasmine. It will definitely be useful to me in the future."

Alice felt lucky and stupid at the same time. Should he have been able to do this in the past, why was it only now unthinkable when Jasmine proposed it?

Had Alice learned to use a weapon a year ago, Klayver might not have been overwhelmed by it.

"You sure you want to?" Jasmine was a little incredulous. She scanned Alice's entire body reflecting her natural gentleness and beauty. Can a woman like this be formed well?

Everything has to be tried. Alice is a pretty smart person. It must not be difficult to forge him into someone even stronger.

"of course. You didn't mean to pull your words back, did you? You just offered me this. Watch out if you suddenly change your mind." Alice looked at Jasmine with a sharp look.

Jasmine had already managed to lure something very tempting. It would be no good if he withdrew his offer all of a sudden.

"No. I'm not the one who likes to pull my words back." Jasmine said seriously. He looked around the room and observed closely. Jasmine's forehead slightly wrinkled faintly. It seemed like he was thinking about something quite seriously.

"What's up, Jasmine?" ask Alice in curiosity.

"You have a big enough room? Room to practice. Looks like I'll have to order some supplies for your training. First of all, you need to learn to use a gun and get to know an omitatic weapon."

Jasmine squinted her eyes, thinking of a place that would be suitable as she wished.

"Actually, Kalyver had used one of the dungeons as such a training ground for himself. Can we wear them too?" Alice remembered something.

After their wedding, in addition to asking for his own space as a workroom, Klayver also conjured up one of the basements spacious enough for him to use as a self-styled training ground. Alice had only seen him once. The room was quite spacious with a lot of equipment that most of Alice was unfamiliar with.

"Wow. We're very lucky that Klayver has a special place to train."

"You should see it first. The place is like a sports place. There's treadmills, barbells, stuff."

Alice remembered the place again. Klayver was diligent enough to practice physical. Within a day, he could be one to two hours in the training ground.

"Yes, it was like that. Is there a punching bag there?" Jasmine asked with wide sparkling eyes.

One of Jasmine's favorite sports is to practice boxing. It was as if as he did so, Jasmine felt a sense of freedom all on her own.

Sports can also be an escape for someone. By expending energy and sweat, the mind that had been burdening can be released slowly.

Jasmine has loved almost all sports. That's why his physique despite not being too muscular, but quite strong. The proof is that he can run long distances without being out of breath at all.

Training after training Jasmine had done. After he lost Isabella, his daughter. Sports and martial arts were Jasmine's means of escape. With him, the pain became a little faint so that Jasmine's heart was treated for a moment.

"there should. Let's see now." Alice walked out of the room towards the basement. Jasmine followed him from behind, feeling her adrenaline begin to pump quickly.

Daniel stared at Alice's house this afternoon with a worried look. The day has begun to evening. The orange light in the sky was spread beautifully.

Daniel presses the gas pedal, deciding to continue his intention of entering the front yard of Alice's house.

Daniel's been pretty fucked up today. He left for the office, feeling angry at the many trivialities and his employees were forced to accept any unfounded irritations.

Daniel himself was confused as to why. He easily rises his emotions without cueing. Little things that are usually not important seem to bother him.

Ema, his personal assistant and secretary, was lectured for half an hour just for making coffee. For a long time, Daniel felt that something was wrong with himself.

Maybe Daniel's got less rest. Maybe Daniel's got a little sleep. Daniel thought that was the main trigger.

Rest is the most basic body need. Like eating, rest is very important. Daniel was almost a month short of sleep.

Within a few days, Daniel spent only a few hours sleeping. That's just a quick glance. So, half a day ago Daniel took time to go home earlier than usual specifically for his use of rest.

But what happened was just the opposite. Daniel lay down, staring at the ceiling of the room without being able to close his eyes.

The one in her memory was Jasmine. The woman had actually managed to become a bully to him. Wonder. What the woman had that no other woman had so Daniel's brain was always on her from the first moment he met.

Finally, with a heavy heart, Daniel decided to come to Alice's residence for the sake of seeing Jasmine in person.

He wanted to prove to himself that Jasmine was a nobody. That his brain was so messed up that it was too big to pay attention to him.

After he saw Jasmine in person, Daniel wanted to prove that she was no better than any other woman. Even lower still. So in order to silence his chaotic brain, he needed to prove it by coming in person. Sometimes the shadows are more fun than the reality.

Daniel is greeted by William at the main gate. The old man slightly scrunched his eyes, astonished at Daniel's sudden arrival.

"Is there a problem, Daniel?" ask Alice's loyal butler.

"none. I just want to visit for a minute."

William gave a small nod, looking at Daniel's chaotic face. Daniel's appearance was a mess. Tam's hair was neat, eyes black like ghosts, thin cheeks lacking in fat, and a face that looked like a zombie.

"Daniel, does anyone call you a walking zombie?" ask William without any guilt.

"There was. Rachel and you are one of them. Am I that bad?" Daniel was a little embarrassed. He tidied his hair that was disheveled and collapsed just not careless.

The hair is stubborn. Many times Daniel tidied it up, the hair was like a wild grass. Daniel grimaced in despair. William who saw it even grinned wide.

Ever since Alice married Klayver, William has been a little quiet and no longer depressed. Perhaps he thought there was someone who had cared enough to protect Alice that she felt a little calm. There is a burden lifted realizing someone who was once a part of Anson has returned safe.

"You are young. Have fun once in a while." William tried to advise Daniel.

"certain. Do I look like I've never had any fun?"

"Huh. You don't think I knew all this time your attention was on Alice."

Daniel laughed loudly. He didn't expect someone as cold as William to notice such a detail. Apparently the feeling that Daniel previously had was clearly visible in the eyes of others. Klayver was angry at Alice for meeting her. The man must have seen clearly how emotional Daniel was for Alice. Luckily Alice herself still believed and told him that a few days ago.

"That was. It's not anymore. By the way, where is Alice now?"

"Just go inside. He and Jasmine did some physical exercise today."

Daniel's eyes are round funny. He looked confused for a moment.

"Physical exercise?"

"Yes. And shooting practice. But don't ask what the results are. Sometimes the target and the target he shot could go from west to east."
