Miracles can happen to anyone God wants. You can never think that a miracle can change something even what seemed impossible before. That happened to Alice. He's had a very significant development in the last year.
He was able to communicate normally. The warmth had touched his face, leaving behind all traces of frost.
The endless suffering had succeeded in strengthening his mentality. After her recovery, Alice's aura seemed to grow stronger. It was as if he was forged preferentially through many trials. Alice's instincts also grew sharper on almost all sides. In business he is increasingly sensitive in accepting every chance of success. For some reason, he could figure out which opportunities he deserved to take and which opportunities were worth abandoning. It is no wonder that all of Alice's business is growing so rapidly. In fact, he was able to spread the wings of expanding the business that Kendrick left for him.
In the family, Alice becomes more and more sensitive in maintaining the bond. He had immense affection and appreciation for the son and the people who had been by his side all this time. Alice vowed to treat them well for the rest of her life.
However, it was not only his instincts that were sharpening. His hatred for Anson also sharpened significantly. The man, had soiled his own hands to kill the person who was important to him. A thousand lives could never erase his mistakes.
The hatred Alice felt was getting ingrained. Although Axel has been handed over by Anson voluntarily under Alice's care, all of that never stopped the hatred he felt. The single biggest regret of his life was meeting Anson. If only he could repeat time, he would have wiped out Anson's existence in the past.
One day, while Alice was enjoying a weekend in the courtyard of the mansion, she had an unexpected guest. A servant said that an old man named William wanted to see him. With cold eyes, Alice nodded willingly to accept his arrival. Although she did not like this situation, Alice was curious about the reason why William came to her place of residence.
"Williams. I didn't expect to get a surprise visit from you." Alice greeted William with a flat look in the living room.
Axel, who saw the old man just smiled a little and went back to playing. It seems the boy no longer remembers who William is. A year has passed. It was natural for a three-year-old to forget his memories. Perhaps, Anson had also been lost in his memory.
"Md. White, how are you?" ask William formally. He wears a very impressive black suit.
"As you can see, I'm healthy without any defects. You're a little funny asking that. A year ago, I was handicapped and helpless, why did you come to see me now when I was healthy?" Alice nodded slowly
William was silent. Looks like Alice has lost her early memories after the tragedy of the accident. Two months William and Anson took care of Alice by night, tirelessly. But in the eyes of this woman, even those actions were meaningless.
"Sorry, Ms. White's."
Alice pointed to the chair asking William to sit down and called the waiter to bring him a cold drink.
"What's your intention this time, William?" Alice asked towards the subject.
It's easy to guess this guy must have come up with a purpose.
"I'm here to make a request, Ms. White," he said opening the main topic.
A request?
"Mrs. Mallory hopes to visit regularly to see the development of her son. If you will, I am very grateful."
A request that almost made Alice laugh bitterly. After all that Anson did, he lightly expected this visit?
"Have you forgotten William? I used to plead with the court just to meet my son and your tyrannical master never let me in the least? Now you're asking for the same thing? Does your master no longer have a brain?" Alice stood up from her seat and walked slowly around the room. His emotions were filled with burning hatred.
"Didn't Anson have willingly handed Axel over to me? Why is he licking his own spit now?" ask Alice.
William gulped his saliva a few times, not at all expecting Alice's hatred of Anson to be this big.
It seems like this meeting will produce nothing.
"Mrs. Mallory had no intention of taking Axel's custody. He just wants to see his son."
"Huh. Very funny." Alice laughed cynically.
Willian rubbed his nose and stood up.
"If you don't like me, I won't force you, Ms. White's."
Anson had warned her not to force Alice too much. If this woman does not allow it, William will step down and respect all his decisions. After all, Anson had made an unforgivable mistake. It was no wonder Alice had rejected him in such a way. This woman chose not to report Kendrick's murder alone was a miracle.
"Wait, William!"
William, who had stepped towards the exit, turned back full of question marks.
"I'll let. He could come later tonight if he wanted to," he said, leaving William stunned.
"Md. White-"
"Come back and don't make me pull my words again." Alice squinted her eyes.
After William's departure, Alice started on the cold floor. The feeling is mixed.
Somewhere else, Anson had heard of this meeting from William. She smiled gently, not expecting the woman to still pass her request.
"Although Ms. White allows, but you must be careful, sir." William tried to warn his superior.
"Why?"
"He now harbors a very deep hatred for you."
Anson smiled wryly. He had already anticipated this news. It was only the abnormal person who did not hate himself after all he had done to the woman.
"It would be better if he hated me, William. And I'd better pretend I hate him." Anson said beyond belief.
The more Alice hates him, the better. That's how Anson can decide if he wants to stay away from her.
They are two people who are opposite each other. In Anson's hands, blood had been scattered meaninglessly. While Alice, her hands were always clean without being stained in the slightest. It's impossible for them to be together. Had they wanted to, nature would not have allowed it.
That's why it would be better if they hated each other. The bridge between them needs to be built higher. So that there is no more chance that can make them united. After all, a demon would never be worthy of an angel. It will be a forbidden love.
Anson's heart is vulnerable. If Alice is a little good, Anson is afraid to pursue Alice blindly. His passion and ambition for the woman was immense and difficult to conquer. He may be tempted to hold Alice in any way in order to be in his arms again.
That's why in order to avoid his unreasonable ambition, they must hate each other. They will never be together again. Anson will only hurt Alice more and more every time. There were enough wounds he had inflicted on the woman. If it wasn't for his son, Anson would've intended to leave all communication with the woman.
...
The sound of a servant's footsteps seemed to rush towards Alice's room. He knocked on the door in a hurry.
"What's wrong?" Alice scrunched her eyebrows. The day had just started late in the evening and this waiter was like carrying important news.
"There are guests who would like to see you, Madam. He introduced himself as Mr. Anson Mallory." The waiter looked distressed to deliver the news. He still remembered how the man dominated and looked at himself as if he wanted to kill. The waiter cursed himself dozens of times for meeting such a terrifying guest.
"Okay, I'm going downstairs. You brought him a drink."
The waiter nodded with a slightly paled face. Not only did he meet, it turned out that he also had to serve that demonic guest. God, what a sin he had in his past.
Alice came down the stairs feeling uncomfortable. He walked full of elegance towards the living room on the ground floor. This time Alice was wearing a long, pale purple dress. His face looked pure and holy. It was as if she was a goddess from another dimension. Just a light lip dye that he put on his pretty face.
A simple white necklace adorned her beautiful neck. Small, similarly colored earrings appear to stick to the tips of his ears. Her wavy hair framed her oval face perfectly. At first glance as he walked, like a model of the most spectacular living painting in history.
Alice's legs moved with steady force. He rubbed both of his legs which had fully recovered from the diagnosis of paralysis. Alice biting her lips held back the emotion. He still remembered the second by second that he had gone through during his self-healing process, every painful step, every effort that felt endless. Now, after all that he had been through, God kindly restored his bodily functions.
"Anson." Alice greeted the man standing outside the guest. Slowly, the man he called turned to face him.
Alice held her chest with a feeling of tightness. The reaction is still the same. The response is still there.
As strongly as Alice denies, Anson's presence is an ecstasy for her soul. His heart rate rhymed erratically, as if it were a drum. A familiar sigh seemed to be slowly stripping his skin. The defense is always out of control.
Alice closed her eyes. Anson is a demon. He is evil and has no soul. Her plight was only stretched out to smash something without a second thought. He has been his victim many times.
But somehow, this demon always brings a reaction that makes itself reluctant to admit. Maybe Alice is crazy, maybe Alice's sanity needs to be questioned. After all he had received from this depraved man, his heart still trembled shamelessly.
"Alice."
The voice was still the same as in his dreams. Within and dominating.
Alice clutched her dress in full force. No. gabe. Whatever happens, he hates this creature and will do anything to not fall back in his charm. It was enough of all the loss he felt because of this man.
"I'll let you meet Axel just because you're his biological father. If you have a bad influence on him, I won't stay put." Alice said cynically. He was trying to control the many emotions that were increasingly bubbling in his heart.
"Oh, you don't have to bother reminding me, Alice. I know we both hate each other. Save your energy for valuable things. Don't try to confront me." Anson responded with the same cynicism.
Alice bit her deep lips in despair. Weakly, he realized one thing.
The resentment and sense of ownership for Anson grew equally large. This is getting scary.
