A well-built man was sitting in the VIP room of a bar. This room is soundproof. So that the sound of music does not interfere with the comfort of the people who are here.
Three women were interested in him. Two blond sexy ladies and an amazingly seductive exotic latin woman. They glanced at each other, gesturing to start approaching new objects.
But even though a minute had passed, still no one moved closer.
This man had a terrifying aura. A mixture of cruelty and total darkness.
His eagle-like golden eyes glared sharply at everything that became his object. His dark hair he pruned partly, so it adds to his good looks.
He may not be more than thirty years old. But his gaze seemed to be able to command everyone, even those older than him. Both hands drooped casually on the side of the classy chair that became the facility of this place.
He sipped a rare beer of eighties production with a lithe gesture, ignoring those who were misgivings for being nearby. His existence was truly too dominant.
"Buddy, I hear you're in trouble." A fat man in his forties began to open up the conversation. He is Mr. Leon, the owner of this place.
The man he spoke to still clamored. His two eyes were like bottomless deadly puzzles. How could this beautiful world keep a creature as scary as him.
"What do you care, Leon?" tanyanya flat. The tone contains synergy. He's a difficult man to approach. Real hard.
"I've always cared about sensitive information." Leon said lightly while expelling many****** around him. Those women were just disturbing the atmosphere.
Gossip has circulated and spread the news that this great man is being hunted by many parties. From the police, international agents to the vengeful mafia.
But this time the case is more complicated. The hunters work together to uncover his identity. Their steps are beginning to feel disturbing.
Not just anyone can know the identity of the man. Leon is one of those people lucky enough to earn that trust. This infornation managed to cover it perfectly.
"You need to get out of this country if you want to stay. I'll help you get a new passport."
The man turned his head, making Leon jolt uncomfortably. Damn this cat's eye. His gaze could make the authoritative Leon feel disturbed.
"Free. I've been hunted by nine countries. Someone's already starting to suspect my identity."
Leon rubbed his nape, feeling awkward. "You know the latest news? Mr. Guns was killed in an accident eleven days ago."
The man remained silent without reacting. He kept all the expressions deep in his heart. His gaze sharpened even more, giving off a dark aura.
"So, the legendary man closed the age too finally." His face is still flat.
Leon nodded and responded again. "Leaving behind an amazingly charming widow. I heard she was called a goddess."
This man still did not move a bit. He was not affected by this information. He has never been interested in women. The only thing he did after utilizing their bodies was to just throw them away. If his mood was bad, he even finished them off on purpose.
Recalling all that, Leon withdrew and shuddered in horror. He felt a little depressed every time he talked to this person. Who wouldn't be bothered if he talked to the most feared assassin in the two great continents?
People called him Eyes Evil. He kills by borrowing the power of the devil.
…
This morning Alice was walking down the city streets. He was determined to question the doctor who analyzed the death of Anson and his two children. The sense of urgency has grown. He needs to clarify everything.
Although a fact could not return them to his side anymore, but at least he needed an answer. He also needs justice. Their souls needed to be released calmly, not full of suspicion like this.
Alice arrived at the city hospital when it was too early. He took the time to eat breakfast in the cafe under this building. After feeling the clock was entering the working hours, she walked quickly to the information room to inquire about the doctor who handled the death of her child and husband.
The receptionist pointed out the direction to the room where the doctor was. Whether this was a coincidence or what, the doctor who treated them was the same doctor. Dr. Staveno Dark's.
Alice slightly frowned. Isn't it too strange that one doctor takes care of three people in one family? Anson's an adult who died in an accident. Kimberly children who died of shortness of breath. Joseph was a baby who died of shortness of breath as well. Doesn't this hospital have their own doctors?
Alice doesn't really know the hospital procedures. He is a layman. But throughout Alice's knowledge, the hospital usually has specialists for certain parts.
Alice knocked on the door and was immediately greeted by the crisp sound of a white-clothed man in his early fifty years. A name tag says Dr. Staveno D. is clearly written on the chest.
"Mrs. Mallory," welcome him kindly. Alice smiled entering this small room. After her husband's death, Alice chose Anson's last name as hers.
"For Dr. Stav," Alice nodded politely.
They have only met twice. But Dr. Stave still vividly remembered Alice's figure. He even remembered his name. Is this not something strange? His patients numbered in the hundreds so it must be difficult to memorize one by one of them.
Alice shook her head weakly, trying to get rid of the strange thoughts she had. It could be Dr. Stave is a man who has a sharp memory. That was the only explanation he could accept.
"Again, is there anything you want from me, Mrs. Mallory?" Dr's Face. Stave rounded with big cheeks like a child. His face was radiantly pleasant.
"I want to ask you about my late husband and my late children, Doc," explained Alice. He is welcome to sit in front of a minimalist wooden table. On the table there is a pile of maps and handprints that Alice does not understand.
"Oh, of course. Anson Mallory, Kimberly and Joseph, right?"
Alice squinted her eyes, growing suspicious. Dr. Stave not only knew about his name, but also all his family who died. Is the doctor's memory that sharp? Or indeed Dr. Stave is a great doctor who has a sharp memory?
"Yes. Aren't you handling them?" alice asked, putting on her friendly face. If he wants to ferret out the infornation, he must be good at theatrics.
"You're right, Mrs. Mallory, can I call you Alice?" the door is still in a cheerful tone. Alice nodded.
"How can you handle them all when they have different complaints and different age genres?" Alice took out her uneg-uneg.
Dr. Stave smiled a little awkwardly. Alice caught there was a slight stiffness from her attitude.
"I am a general practitioner who often handles cases on IGD. They were all taken straight to the IGD back then so I was the one handling them. After that, there are indeed some specialists who handle it themselves. I'll write down their names if you want to, Alice," said Dr. Stave as it is.
Alice nodded, accepting the explanation. General practitioners often handle many cases. Maybe, if later Alice has time she will ask other specialists who handle them.
Alice thanked him when she received a piece of paper containing a graffiti of the names of other doctors involved in handling the death of her family.
"Dok, did you find any other substance besides alcohol in Anson's body?" Alice asked another question.
Dr. Stave sat down, looking at Alice with a serious look.
"There's only alcohol I've found in Anson's body as a causative agent of his death."
"So, you mean he's drunk?"
Dr. Stave nodded steadily.
"Is the detectable alcohol content above the normal amount?"
"Very much. The exact amount is so intoxicating that it loses complete self-control and awareness."
Alice wanted to laugh in her heart. Two glasses is not a lot. Anson also will not collapse just because of the large amount of alcohol. He is a man who knows his limits. Alice doesn't trust this doctor anymore.
"alright. I'm just too surprised to know all this, Doc."
Alice took a slow breath. He still needs to ask a few more questions. Alice must try to extract complete information from this doctor.
"Regarding my children, Doc. Is their death natural? How could they suddenly suffocate?"
Alice continued her question.
The riddle got more and more runny every time Alice thought of it. All the tragedies he had experienced had their flaws. Like a novel, the story is presented to experience a hole plot. Alice just wanted to complete the wedge with the plausible facts she was able to accept.
"Breathlessness doesn't happen just because of the factors you mentioned, Alice. Kimberly detected choking on food in the throat. Although this is a rare case, but all things can happen in this world."
Dr. Stave explained smoothly. However, Alice saw that her countenance had slightly changed tinged with a reddish tinge. His body gesture was also a little suspicious. He turned several times to the right and to the left, like trying to avoid something.
"And my baby?"
"Oh? The baby boy?" Dr. Stave even remembers clearly the baby is a boy. "You know SIDS? sudden infant death syndrome or often referred to as sudden death. Your son experienced that. Factors can be many, one of which is the head is bad on the mattress or on the pillow, so it can cause death."
Alice remained silent for a long time. Despite some facts presented by Dr. Stave makes sense, but there are some things Alice thinks are made up. He's got to check all this.
"Alice, I know it's not easy for you to go through. But life always has its own net. You should try to make peace with the situation. Your late husband and children must be sad if you continue to dissolve in grief." Dr. Stave tried to cheer up. He felt a little relieved that the woman was no longer charging herself with many more questions.
"Alright, Doc. Excuse me." Alice shines with Dr. Stave and pass away.
After Alice, Dr. Stave immediately picked up the phone and contacted someone. His face looks a little uncomfortable.
"He's getting suspicious."
…
Alice came out of Dr. Stave with slow steps. He walked towards the parking lot in the basement. His mind is getting more erratic. Alice is increasingly convinced that the death of her family is the result of someone's actions. But who? What problems are behind it?
Alice clutched her handbag with all her energy. He felt that someone was following in his footsteps. Every time he walked slowly down this long hallway, the steps behind him followed slowly. As Alice quickened her pace, she also came quickly.
He felt the same reaction as the reaction when he was trailed first. There must be someone who's after him. Alice sped up the steps to get to the car immediately. He was tired of facing danger. His life is like a roller coster that goes up and down in no direction.
This parking lot is a little quiet. There were only a few people passing by. Alice was intending to open the car door when she suddenly felt something holding her hand.
"Mrs. Alice Mallory."
Alice looked back.
A twenty-year-old woman in nurse clothes held herself back. The woman had a beautiful face with a model-like posture. However, his face looked a little depressed. His lips were shaking like they were holding back a cry.
"You following me?" guess Alice.
The woman nodded slowly. It's true Alice's guess. He had been followed by someone since he left Dr. Staves.
"I'm Bella. Can we talk about something for a second?" Bella's two hands are linked erratically. His eyes shifted between Alice and the car door.
Alice observes Bella's overall appearance. He felt unsure of this situation. Perhaps, it would be better for him to reject Bella. The focus is currently on the cause of death of Anson and her two children. Alice had no time to discuss other matters with a foreign woman like Bella.
"It's about your kids." Bella's voice stuttered a little.
"My kids? You mean Kimberly and Joseph."
"Yes. Can we talk in the car?" Bella looked around them, assessing the surrounding situation. He made sure no one saw them together.
Alice opens the car and lets Bella in. He needs to get any information about his family's death.
After they sat in the car, Alice looked at Bella with hopeful eyes. He grasped the nurse and pleaded wordlessly to share the infornation he had.
"Can you keep this information I have a secret? I don't want to get into trouble" the woman stuttered. Looks like Bella is a pretty smart guy. He knew the information he gave was so sensitive that he did not want to be dragged along.
Alice nodded in agreement. She is not a woman who likes to throw trouble at others.
"I don't know about your husband's death whether it was an accident or something. But I suspect about your children dying suddenly." Bella said softly, turning back to the left right to find out the condition of their situation.
"What happened to my children?"
When her two children died, Alice did not witness their condition directly. She was still lying weak after giving birth so doctors advised her to stay in a hospital bed. Alice only learned of their bodies after they were bathed.
"They were indeed short of breath before dying, but they also experienced other symptoms. Like seizures, excessive sweating, diminished pupils, increased heart rate and decreased drastically."
Alice was wide. "Can you explain what that all means?"
Bella pats Alice on the shoulder, trying to strengthen.
"I once helped deal with people who were poisoned. Their symptoms are exactly the same as your children's symptoms before they die. It's just that your children are worse off, so they're not helped."
"Did my baby have that too?"
"Yes. Both of your children are experiencing the same thing. He was treated by two doctors. Doctor Stave and another Doctor Mark, a pediatrician. I'm the only nurse who helps them."
Bella breathed a sigh of relief. Finally, the burden was also reduced from his shoulders. He had held all of that for days, feeling cowardly for covering something up. Now, he has explained everything. It's up to Alice to process what that information looks like. Most importantly, his guilt had disappeared.
"Did they not do anything?"
Bella nodded weakly. That's why he felt suspicious of this incident. He witnessed the two doctors themselves as reluctant to perform emergency rescue measures. They were impressed to let the critical condition of the patient.Bella felt there was something strange about this case.
"It's like they're deliberately letting your kids get poisoned."
Alice closed her eyes, feeling a huge god punching her chest. Oh God. This is the reality that he accepted. His children had been poisoned by someone and were left to die without help.
"Is there another clue I should know about?" Alice asked softly. The power is like being slowly diluted.
"That's all I can catch. I saw Dr. Stave acted calmly. But Dr. Mark is depressed. He showed me a guilty face that I had a hard time understanding."
Alice nodded in understanding, then asked for information regarding Dr. Mark's. Bella suggests that Alice go to her house to get information. He assumed that doing it in the hospital would not be effective. Alice follows Bella's advice and gets Dr. Mark's.
After Bella feels enough to give her information, she leaves in a hurry from Alice's car. He never knew it would be his last day of life.
Alice runs her car at a steady speed. He felt his head throbbing violently. The fact he had just heard from Bella had managed to slice his heart. He felt life once again mocking him in a new tragedy.
Thirty years into her life, she just wants to live out the day as an ordinary woman full of happiness. However, the thick charcoal of his life always leads him to new problems. To be honest, Alice felt tired. He wanted to scream protest at the world. He wanted to ask why the life he was living was this difficult.
Can he bring happiness back? Could it be that he was always doomed to endless trouble? Is there a happy ending for him?
Tears soaked her beautiful face. He hit the steering wheel and shouted in anger. Sadness has been united with anger. Make her look like a woman without direction.
Alice looked at the sky. The sun still shows its light with light. The wind is still blowing his wind. The clouds are still blue and reigned in the sky.
But his heart was no longer the same. Alice's life is no longer the same. Alice's story is no longer the same. Everything had been different, leaving deep wounds gaping wide.
God, where does life lead him?
