The Rhyme of the Depositary

The Rhyme of the Depositary
085 - SEASON 2

Daniel is immersed in his own world. He is sitting on the balcony of his room, enjoying a morning cup of coffee with a song of melodious flowing eagles. Daniel's head nodded in delight at every lyric.

*There she stood in the doorway

I heard the mission bell

And I was thinkingin' to myself

'This could be heaven or this could be hell

Then she lit up a candle

She showed me the way

There were voices down the corridor

I thought I heard them say

Welcome to the Hotel California

Such a lovely place (such a lovely place)

Such a lovely face

The Plenty of room at the Hotel California

Any time of year (any time of year)

Daniel stared at the morning sun that began to scratch his light .His hand rubbed the end of the cup gently. Inwardly, he began to make fun of himself. How can a song from eagles every time it sounds, now more like reminiscing his story with Jasmine. Itis funny. Starting doesn't make sense.

Daniel leaned against the back of the wooden chair, looking up at the ceiling.

There was once a saying that the goddess kiss was like a sea of illicit drugs. The candy drains your blood dry until death picks you up.

It seems that's not a saying. The saying will not sound like that. I don't know where Daniel heard it. Clearly, it contained the truth when Daniel realized it.

Jasmine.

That lady. That sells every moral for a dollar. That sells every ethic for the sake of something called fleeting luxury. For the sake of all that, he was willing to put himself on an impropriety.

Daniel. He closed his eyes and felt like giving up. His passion for that woman did not go away. The kiss that he thought was able to silence his heart just wanted more and was difficult to extinguish.

Could this be karma because Daniel was too deep in judging Jasmine before? Or God is making a little joke.

I don't know. Of the two possibilities, none preferred Daniel. He was reluctant to do anything at this time.

Focus, attention, desire. Everything is in a confusing phase.

The song he liked slowly began to stop playing, replaced by another nineties. Daniel is an old music lover. Almost all music playlists contain old songs.

Mentari had peeked out from the eastern horizon. Daniel smiled a little. He picked up a guitar in the corner of the balcony, started singing the California hotel song all by himself. Slowly, he started to take an initial tone.

*On a dark desert highway

Cool wind in my hair

Warm smell of colitas

Rising up through the water

Up ahead in the distance

I saw a shimmering light

My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim

I had to stop for the night

There she stood in the doorway

I heard the mission bell

And I was thinkingin' to myself

'This could be heaven or this could be hell

Then she lit up a candle

She showed me the way

There were voices down the corridor

I thought I heard them say

Welcome to the Hotel California

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted

She got the Mercedes Benz, uh

She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys

That she calls friends

How they dance in the courtyard

Sweet summer sweats

Some dance to remember

Some dance to forget

So I called up the Captain

"Please bring me my wine"

He said, "We haven't had that spirit here since 1969"

And still those voices are calling from far away

Wake you up in the middle of the night

Just to hear them say*

Daniel stopped his quote and began to re-imagine. She recalled the time Jasmine sang this song yesterday at the restaurant. The woman's voice was quite strong and melodious actually. Only self-respect caused Daniel to hold back and make fun of him.

Now, Daniel so wish they sang themselves together on the balcony of this house, welcoming the morning and the ray of sunshine, smiling together because of trivial things.

Jasmine's smile was very beautiful actually. As long as the woman does not spread it to others. Unfortunately, everything in Jasmine is public property. Everything was. Without exception.

Wearing indeed. He used to fall in love with a married woman, Alice. Now, his desires were bubbling uncontrollably at a dilapidated woman like Jasmine

Daniel's life has always been on the wrong side. Rachel would have laughed if she found out. A man seems to be a naugerah if he manages to focus his attention on something. Unfortunately, that focus falls on people who are never right.

After sitting for a long time on the balcony with coffee friends, Daniel moved up and went into the room. Today is the weekend. He might try to go back to sleep. Who knows, his body is ready to rest. Honestly, Daniel was tired inside out.

A king-size bed blue dongker as if waving hands to touch. Daniel dropped himself on it and began to close his eyes. If God was good, Daniel could have rested his body a little longer. Something he needed all this time.

Really, luck is on Daniel's side. It didn't take long for him to fall asleep. This time he slept for quite a while. About five hours later he woke up.

It's about noon. Daniel was a little dazed when he realized he was sleeping that long. Several times he looked at the clock on the wall and recalculated the time he had passed.

Is correct. He's been asleep for a long time. His body feels better too. More fresh. Daniel relaxed his muscles and stood up in relief.

If every day like this, it seems like he no longer needs a psychologist consultation as Alice recommends. His life can be a little laid out from now on. Hopefully the future can continue like this.

Daniel sighed in relief and walked out of the room. He needs sport. Swimming is a pretty good option. With light steps, Daniel headed to the pool behind the house which had now been sprinkled with some new foliage.

This autumn makes the air slightly lower than usual. It looks like Daniel will have to survive with a biting wind if he still wants to swim. Steadily, Daniel plunged himself into the coldness of the water.

Alice did breakfast this morning along with Jasmine. Axel decided to stay the weekend at Rachel's house.

That kid, the longer it's going to stick to Rachel. Alice so wondering if Rachel did not miscarry, maybe her child will easily accrue with Axel. They will definitely be friends that match each other.

Unfortunately, everything has happened with its own scenario. Alice could only dream. Tragedy had made Jasmine experience all of this.

The best thing now is to stay optimistic in the face of the future. One day, Alice is sure Rachel will get a son or daughter change funny that she will take care of with all her heart.

"What's wrong, your mind seems to be in paradise." Jasmine commented on Alice who clearly seemed to be daydreaming about something.

Alice poked her lips. "You are the same. You think I didn't know before your mind drifted elsewhere, too" Alice protested.

Before this, Alice found Jasmine's eyes looking unfocused. That woman must be thinking of something.

"What's up, Jasmine? There's no bad news about Klayver, is there?"

Jasmine shook her head quickly. "No. No. gabe. I just thought if you had to be harder today in physical training."

Alice nodded small. Every day after they agreed to make Alice's body stronger, Jasmine always forced Alice to practice in the basement. There is a theory that Jasmine has come up with.

From starting how to aim at the target, hit in the right place, curling enemies, using sharp objects around, and many other things

For a long time, Alice realized that behind the appearance of Jasmine who seemed to have no moral sense, she was a woman of high quality.

Jasmine's martial ability was quite capable. William who accidentally saw them practicing had commented on Jasmine if the woman must have been tough enough. Only William knew how long it would take Jasmine to hone her skills now.

Jasmine went through many quite heavy processes. He passed through great obstacles in his life so that his abilities could be formed as well as this.

"Actually, since when did you train yourself in martial arts?" Alice asked suddenly.

Jasmine who was finishing the salad looked up as fast as lightning. The question tickled him.

"Self? From when I was a teenager." Jasmine smiled slightly.

"Great. Back when I was a teenager I was busy with the latest fashion products and you were already busy with your martial arts training."

Jasmine so chuckled at Alice's obvious annoyance.

"Everyone has their way, Alice. So too with me. At the age of thirteen, my stepfather abused me. So from there I began to be determined to learn martial arts. At least I can hit the most important part when he tries to act on me." Jasmine blinked one eye, giving off a humorous impression.

But Alice knew that there was a sorrow that seemed to flash for a moment in Jasmine's eyes. It must not be as simple as Jasmine said.

Everyone has their own secrets. So did Jasmine. Alice did not want to pry too much into Jasmine's past if she was not willing to open up.

"Alice," call Jasmine seriously.

Alice finished her meal and pushed some dishes to the other side. He looked at Jasmine who looked serious.

"You know that woman is most vulnerable to expression?"

Alice looked at Jasmine's eyes in a puzzling manner. What did Jasmine mean this time? Women rarely philosophize. If words of philosophy begin to emerge from her, Alice must begin to be vigilant.

"I don't understand what you mean."

"I mean, the kind of woman like us, is the kind of person who too often shows facial expressions in accordance with what we are feeling. That's the description of the expression."

Alice looked on in annoyance. "I know what an expression is, Jasmine."

Jasmine gave a small smile seeing the inadmissibility from Alice's face.

"You said you didn't understand what I meant."

"It's not like that, I just don't understand what you're talking to me about this time." Alice straightened her legs, placing them on a wooden crutch under the dining table.

Alice's hair looks wet. He shook his head several times to let the water fall down. Her red hair looks beautiful at the moment.

"I want you to understand that, in order to live with a man like Klayver who defies danger and death, expression is very important."

"How can you?" Alice still did not understand this conversation.

Jasmine stood up, pointed towards the Workspace and was immediately followed by Alice at the back.

Along the short drive to the study, Alice wondered at heart what topic Jasmine was preparing for her.

If likened to a game, Jasmine is a game that has no clear rules. He moves wherever he wants, acts whatever he wants, and gives other surprises at the end of the story.

Alice sat on the soft sofa and turned her head to face Jasmine who was now standing two meters away from her.

"Alice, we never know what dangers we'll face. Klayver's enemies are complicated people. People like them are people who can do anything for their purpose. One of them, holding you and holding your son in order to catch Klayver and lure him out. That's why I was put here. Merely to protect you from the man who wanted Klayver's death."

Jasmine explained at length. He picked up a swivel chair, dragged it near Alice and sat there leisurely.

"Klayver's enemies are people who are experts at detecting facial expressions. They can think when you're lying, when you're covering something up, even when you're pretending. Don't you know the point now? If you want to protect Klayver and strengthen yourself, one of the things you have to do is try to camouflage your facial expressions. Don't let them know when you're lying. Lure them in the wrong direction, toying with their minds. It's something that could be useful in the future." Jasmine touched Alice's shoulder, observing whether what she had just conveyed had penetrated into Alice's mind.

Looks like Alice's a pretty smart woman. He easily catches every talk of Jasmine, although in some practice he needs to reiterate what has been delivered.

"So, you intend to make me able to cultivate facial expressions, hoping that if someday there's a problem, I can use this for good."

Jasmine flicked her finger, feeling successful in conveying her theory just now.

"Smart. Know it? You're like an open book. Everything you feel is easy for others to guess. When angry, disappointed, sad, and other basic emotions."

Jasmine gave a heavy sigh. Jasmine was also not perfect in controlling emotions and facial expressions. He was not like Klayver whose every action was emotionless at all.

But at least Jasmine was better than Alice. Alice really was like an innocent child.

"What should I do?"

"Practice controlling it. From now on."

"But I don't want to turn cold and heartless for Axel. Klayver was already a cold man. If I were also a cold woman, what would my family be like?" Alice was not accepted.

"For God's sake, Alice. Don't be so plain. You can express your expression to the people you want. This exercise only works so you can use it on the person you want. Not to everyone. You don't have to lose your personality just because of this."
