027 - SEASON 2

Alice froze at Daniel's confession. Daniel's voice was as gentle as a silk caress. The honesty he expresses is his heart. Something that has been kept for a long time.

There was no trace of lies in his eyes. There is no manipulative spot. Everything was indeed a confession that the man had from the corner of his heart.

Alice caught the helplessness that the man had. His eyes dim. His eyes are gone.

It's not easy to keep love in silence. Especially if the woman is repeatedly with other men. What strength had God lent to Daniel so that he still endured with his one-handed feelings.

Alice once felt a very strong love for Anson. Fortunately, the world was on their side so that he was united even though their time together was not too long.

Imagining Daniel having such strong emotions for her, made Alice smile poignantly. It's not easy to keep all that. Daniel must have gone through a lot of heartache up to this point.

"You still love me?" ask Alice weakly. He touched Daniel's gloomy face with both hands.

"Yes." Yeah."

"After I've been with a lot of other men, that feeling still persists?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"How stupid are you."

"Yes." Yeah."

"Can you say another word other than yes?"

"No."

Alice again sobbed. He hit Daniel's chest with all his energy. Alice felt the pain that Daniel suffered. Alice felt a sense of grief for Daniel.

"Don't you suffer?"

"Very."

"Why do you still love me?"

"How can I stop loving if my eyes are always on you? No other beauty can penetrate my heart. All my focus and race have you taken completely." Daniel patted the side of Alice's face gently.

He never wanted to trap Alice into an unnatural relationship. If Alice loved him, it would be a gift to Daniel. Otherwise, getting to know and being close to Alice would be enough of a gift for Daniel's life. Even if she had a tragic ending, knowing Alice was more than enough for her life.

"You said all this after you knew your life would probably not be long, right? Do you want to make me feel guilty for not saving your life?" Alice sobbed heartbreakingly.

Daniel smiled a little. In critical moments of his life, he no longer paid attention to his own fate. Seeing Alice crying for him became a late realization. This woman cares about him. Even if it's not love.

All of this is more than enough. Daniel's happiness rises high to receive Alice's care. In love, people are beggars. Ask a little for something that we think is great.

"Live well. That's my only wish. Stop looking for trouble and attract danger. If you can, forget about the old grudges. Have an ocean-wide apology," asked Daniel sincerely.

Knowing Alice is a wonderful gift. He will not demand God to bring them together. Just like this, it was more than enough. Something Daniel wanted.

"Saiel …."

"I won't be by your side forever. If I'm gone, at least remembering me a little is already a gratitude to me. Live well,"

Daniel's tears flowed down. Finally, after all the defense he had all this time, Daniel's soul gave up. The fragile side shows itself.

"If you love me, find a safe place. Even though it's for a while, but breathing out is the thing you should do. Let me be here trying to hold Klayver. Although our efforts are in vain, but all of this is worth trying. Stay alive, Dan."

Alice came home in the afternoon. He drove his car in a slight daze. What they had talked about earlier made Alice's concentration split apart.

Alice should be grateful. He managed to persuade Daniel to get out of Manhattan tonight. The man followed Alice's advice and prepared a flight to another country secretly.

Now, the problem is just getting over Klayver. If what Daniel said is true, it means that soon there must be another party hunting Klayver.

Although Alice believes in Klayver's powers, her therapy is also vigilant. Klayver's predicament was Alice's difficulty as well. They dragged each other. Alice does not want her family, especially Axel stuck in a difficult situation. It would be better for him to secure his son first to another city.

Alice was still thinking about how she told Klayver this news. Conveying all the development of the problem is tantamount to suicide. Telling Klayver would only make the man realize Daniel's deeds early. He could go straight after Daniel and make the calculations.

If Klayver acts fast, Daniel will definitely get caught. Alice was afraid to imagine all this.

After making this decision, Alice felt troubled. He focused his attention back on the path down the meter by meter towards the way home. Alice remembered something and then started contacting Rachel. He wanted to leave Axel with him for a while. With Rachel it's safer.

"Rachel, can I leave Axel to you for a few days?" ask Alice expectantly.

"Axel's? Is there a problem, Alice? You in trouble?" Rachel sounded worried.

"There are some circumstances I need to be aware of. I can't explain it yet. I'd be very grateful if you'd take Axel for a while."

That was the only explanation Alice could give. Hopefully, Rachel did not pursue a more detailed explanation.

"alright. Just send Axel to Maxen's mansion. Or do I need to take her to your house?" bargain Rachel understanding.

"No need, Rachel. I'll have Helena take Axel to your place tomorrow. Thanks though. You're really the greatest friend." Alice closed the telephon. He smiled with relief after finishing this business.

Alice massaged her temple gently. In his heart, he promised to learn to hide his emotions even better.

Alice let out a sigh of relief as she entered the house and got word from one of the maids that Klayver was still outside. The man had not been home since this morning. Alice feels like she's pretty safe tonight.

With a hum, Alice looked for Axel and spent an hour playing with him. After the night got late and his son fell asleep, he went back to the room to clean himself up.

In the morning, Alice woke up feeling troubled. The bed next to him looked neat, showing Klayver not coming home last night at all. Although they were not married couples, every night the man would sleep on the same bed. Klayver is stubborn enough to do this habit. Alice who initially thought all for the skit, long ago so questioned Klayver's true intentions.

Alice came out of the room to find William. The butler was standing in the backyard with a cigarette in his right hand.

"Mrs." William nodded in greeting his master.

"William, do you know where Klayver is?" alice asked a little worried.

Is her husband in trouble? Does that mean Alice and Axel also need to be vigilant? All these thoughts made Alice inflamed.

"Yesterday you used my organization to take care of a few things. It seems that the matter has not been completed until now." William nodded small, explaining to Alice.

"You're not coming?" ask Alice later.

"No. I have some business to settle as well." William answered what it was. Yesterday William had another flurry so Klayver allowed him not to participate.

"Is there a problem with her considering she hasn't returned yet?" alice asked, unable to cover the worried tone she had.

"Don't worry, Madam. Master will definitely contact me if there is any problem. My organization is quite competent. They must be strong enough to protect the Master."

William tried to calm Alice down. He knew his employer was easily worried. After getting many tragedies in life, the woman has a high level of vigilance on everything. Sometimes he is paranoid.

"Alright, William. I believe in your explanation." Alice smiled with relief. He went to see Helena.

Alice needs to instruct Helena to take Axel as soon as possible to Rachel's place. He helps Helena prepare for Axel's needs in lightning.

As Alice let go of the boy, there was a cloudy cry on Axel's face. He was forced to leave his mother.

Alice patted her son's head and gave a small consolation. He promised Axel's departure was only temporary. Alice also said there Rachel would welcome him with a lot of interesting things. After hearing that, Axel was willing to leave.

After the Axel affair was over, Alice returned to the living room and waited for Klayver. Today time has passed so long. Klayver's not coming back.

When it was noon, William came to Alice, trying to cheer. Klayver has no news. Plus there are parties who have known Klyaver's true identity. Alice was completely terrified. He was worried that something bad would happen to them.

Anyway, Klayver is her husband. Their fates are dragged into each other.

By the afternoon, Alice's worries began to peak because her husband still did not come home and could not be contacted.

William was worried for a long time too. He said communication with his subordinates was starting to improve, but unfortunately William's organization had been separated from Klayver since this morning. Klayver's whereabouts are unknown. William's subordinate only said that Klayver was taking care of someone.

Alice remained silent for a long time. Taking care of someone must not be as simple as Alice thought. He was just afraid that Klayver would encounter some unexpected things. Klayver's identity that began to leak made many possibilities.

The afternoon turned into night. The twilight in the sky had lost its golden light. The darkness began to crawl down. Alice, who was still troubled, sat in the front room, waiting anxiously for Klayver's return.

"Don't worry, Madam. Master is a very competent person. He can definitely solve the problem."

William tries to calm Alice down, though he himself is also unsettled. He walked around the room with clenched hands, trying to be ready with all the developments.

Inwardly, William realized the vulnerability of the situation. They were currently quite dependent on Klayver's strength. If anything happens to him, William is worried that their position will become more fragile.

"How many people are competent and still end tragically? You forgot Anson was a great guy. Who would have thought the end of his life was like that. Fate is something we can never guess, William."

Alice said softly. This life always has secrets. There is a power called fate. Something that logic can never reason but always defeats many situations. He stands alone. Like an X factor outside of a variable that cannot be influenced but can affect.

"Madam, right now we can't do anything. The only thing we can do is pray and hope" William said.

Just as William was saying this, the room lights went off all of a sudden. Alice shouted in surprise at the change that was happening.

The house was designed by Anson. If the electricity is off, automatically the power storage will work and still keep the electricity running.

One possibility that happens if the electricity dies is that they have been infiltrated by someone. A dead alarm system can trigger other connections to shut down, including electricity. Although it is not always a patent formula, because the alarm can still be infiltrated without having to interfere with the electric current, but William is fully alert. Right now, anything can happen.

In order to prevent other things, William directed Alice to exit through the back door. He grabbed Alice's arm in the darkness and patted her gently to calm down.

"Madam, you better get out the back door first. I will move the servants to follow you. But right now you are the top priority."

William led Alice to the exit. He takes his personal cell phone and tries to contact someone to escort Alice. But William just looked at his phone and swore.

"What's up, William?" alice sounded worried. The grip on William's hand tightened even more. Fear began to rise to the surface.

"Maybe we're under siege. They use signal jamming so that all electronic and communication media can't be used" explains William began to guide Alice to the outdoors more quickly.

William was afraid they were unsafe. At the moment William still did not know the cause of all the chaos. The only thing he could do was rush to save Alice.

The sounds of the maids shouting at each other in confusion rang out from the other room. William tries not to care about anything else and focuses only on saving Alice. Luckily Axel has been taken away to Rachel's house. At least the boy is safe.

"William, what should we do now?" Alice asked worriedly. They have now reached the kitchen. The exit is a few meters away. When they had reached the door, William opened it with a feeling of relief.

"We shall ..." William's words stopped in the air.

Neither Alice nor William could speak. The back yard was surrounded by many people. Now they faced dozens of people in dark clothes who looked faintly under the moonlight of night.
