The Rhyme of the Depositary

The Rhyme of the Depositary
150 - SEASON 2

There was nothing more shocking than what Alice had just seen with her own eyes. James deliberately shot Alice's bodyguard in a sudden motion. No one anticipated this. Both Alice and Violin were surprised to find this.

The two bodies of Alice's bodyguards, who were actually Violin confidants, now lie helplessly on the cold asphalt. Their eyes still glared in disbelief. Maybe if they could talk, they also would not have expected to be killed this easily. There were unanswered questions ahead of their deaths. It's just that the drowning question doesn't care about their lives.

Violin's face, which was usually flat and controlled, now looks pias. The corner of the woman's lips trembled with disbelief. He still doesn't understand what's going on right now. Could James be doing a show? But what charade sacrifices their own guards.

"Darling, what are you doing?" tanya softly sounded from Violin's beautiful lips. The woman walked over to her husband to confirm what she had seen before. She hopes somehow, Violin can get a reasonable explanation from her husband. Their current state of affairs did not support to negotiate, but the Violin could not wait for all this any longer.

"Finding my own independence." James turned around, staring at Violin with foreign eyes. He gave his back towards the enemy, something he had never done before.

Put his back on the enemy.

Violin realized this reality and retreated slowly. Not likely. No. gabe. James would only give his back to his own people. Anti for him to turn his back on his own enemies unless they are …

They were James' own men.

"I'm tired of you, Violin. As a woman, your position always tries to be higher than mine. As a man, I have always been below your value. In fact, if I wanted to, my abilities were on par with yours." James stared at Violin. There is no warmth and love like before. Eyes that usually squint dear, now look sharp and distant.

"James," replied Violin weakly. He raised his hand, trying to reach a husband who had been thirty-five years with his life.

"Yes?" James approaching. He grabbed his wife's hand flatly. Already all the expressions of love that are usually seen flow gently from the sight of his eyes. Now all that remains is a cold reaction from a foreign man.

Alice did not understand. He approached Violin, trying to reach the woman to find out what was really going on. It looks like Violin is quite dazed at the moment. Alice needs to understand everything in more detail.

"Sorry, Violin. Sometimes love alone is not enough to make a marriage last."

Not yet had Violin digested what James said, he had already been hit on the nape by James.

Either Violin's diminished vigilance, either her chaotic self-concentration. Women who have been considered to have strength, just fell in front of the man he loved. Violin's frail body decays helplessly in James' arms.

Not yet had Alice digested what was happening before her, she felt a violent punch land on her nape. Alice tried to turn around and fight back. He remembered some of the stalks taught by Jasmine before. The moves were superficial moves Jasmine had taught Alice in an emergency. Just as Alice's hand was raised to fight, another stronger punch struck her nape on the other side. Violin weakens. He only saw a fleeting darkness before finally unconsciousness snatched him away.

Before Alice fainted. A Word of Heart began to strike within him. Is this what defeat feels like? It feels so bitter. Especially through people he knows.

...

Violin wakes up in a minimalist design room. This room has a pink curtain full of lace. The ceiling is the same pink color. The bed that he slept in had high poles like the design of an ancient bed.

Violin pulled her hand. He felt stifled. Quickly, the woman looked to her right and left. Realizing on both of his arms were held up by chains that connected to the end of the bed and to both of his ankles.

The violin movement was deliberately held to such an extent. Angrily, the woman pulled up her arms and legs, trying to break free. He started shouting furiously and cursing recklessly. This beautiful room is no longer comfortable with its current state. There is no more value of beauty that people adore so long as you are restrained and do not have freedom.

The violin refused to stop rebelling. He increasingly pulled both of his arms firmly, trying every means to break free. He did not let his body stop rebelling for a second. He was afraid that if he stopped trying to escape, his mind began to expand and connect everything with James. He did not want to think about that man at this moment. No. gabe. She was not strong enough to make a new opinion of her own husband.

"Aaaarggghhhhh!"

Violin pulled her arm blindly. There was a faint bruise that was beginning to be seen. His face began to fall apart. His usual hair he had bun was now smoothed. Like an unkempt homeless woman. No. gabe. Even the homeless are better than him.

The door suddenly opened in a quick motion. A very familiar man entered this room and closed the door again. Closing off any access Violin could see.

"James." In disbelief rushes out strongly. Challenging to get out and find out what really happened.

"Yes? What's up, honey? I advise you not to be too hard on yourself! It's free you try to break away. The chain is made with a special material that is very strong and designed to hold someone who has more power like you. There's a titanium alloy in it."

James dragged the nearest small chair with the tip of his foot. He took out a cigarette and an automatic lighter from his suit pocket. The same suit he wore at their wedding anniversary dinner. That memory left Violin under a new desperate reaction.

"Jameses. You can't do all this, can you? Say it! You can't be the one behind this, can you?"

Violin's voice sounded fragile. He tried to grasp a rope of hope that was starting to weaken. The rope of hope that could be cut off at any time.

"JAMES! ANSWER ME!"

Angry, upset, disappointed. All of it penetrated into Violin's heart and fused quickly. Violin's face paled. Her lips look colorless. The red lipstick that he had previously lost was erased by nothing.

"Honey, I'm the one behind all this, baby! Sorry I let you down! But here's the truth. I chose to stand against you and be a part of Luiz Martinez."

James's voice was not too loud, but it was enough to break the Violin consciousness even deeper.

"What pretense are you playing, James? What drama demands you to play against me?" Violin's gaze weakened. He tries to find a small crack that could make Violin understand about James' actions. She wanted to stick to it if her husband was impossible to betray Violin in this cruel way.

"There's no theatrics. I'm just tired of this marriage. I just can't walk with you any longer. I just can't stay by your side in such a sad state!" James looked at his wife seriously. There was no trace of joking in his eyes. Everything shows seriousness.

"Cannot be. That's not possible! You must be making a joke!" Violin shook her head strongly, trying to resist the word for word James blurted out. It all just doesn't make sense. Makes Violin feel trapped in a quality tal prank. God, I hope her husband laughs and embraces her by saying it was a surprise for their wedding anniversary.

"I'm tired of our marriage, baby. For thirty-five years you've been my wife and you've been in control of everything. Our organization, our children, our business, even our marriage. Whatever it is you are in control. I'm just a useless background figure. Your ego is too big to take everything around us. Say, as a man, I'm tired of continuing to be your shadow, Violin!"

An honest confession from a man who is now sitting with his legs supported. The corner of the man's eyes looked at the woman who was now moving helplessly on the bed. There was nothing in his eyes other than a look of disappointment. A disappointment that he may have experienced a long time and try to be silenced just like that. A disappointment that eventually stays out looking for an impingement.

"Is that what you think of me? Is that why you judge our marriage?" violin asked not to understand.

James is a tough guy. But that was because his soul was easy to accept discussion in all moods. James is a smiling and understanding man. With the receiver and patient. How can anything happen like this?

"You're the shallow one, Violin. I've been with you for decades and I have no position at all. As a man, my every word was never noticed. As a husband, my authority was never exercised. Our marriage and our life, it's all about you. I am a man who is slowly getting knocked out and has no meaning!"

James revealed his heart that had been hidden. For decades he has been silent. For decades he was just a side player. Hoping somehow, one day Violin could realize her mistake and appreciate James in an actual way. As a man, James just wanted to be appreciated. But what he wanted did not happen.

"You mean a lot to me, James. You are half of me. You are the only one. Can't you see all that?" Violin's voice grew increasingly high, feeling angry with James's way of thinking. How could a disappointment gather that big and have no signs at all?

"I only have the meaning of being second to your ego. If you're tired of life, you come to me and hold my shoulder. If you're stuck thinking of a way out, you just came to me and asked for advice. If you're desperate for something, you come and get my spirit back. If you are rejected by the world and feel useless, you come to me and seek a new meaning from me. In short, I am your place of return if you are desperate. I am your trash in everything.

"If you love me, why don't you come to me and listen to all my words before you lose your way and get tired of the situation? If you love me, why don't you make me your first destination before you're pushed by adversity? You never appreciated me as a husband. You also don't let me have the values I should. How could you think of maintaining this flawed marriage, Violin?"

A long-buried grievance is now fully revealed. James has been holding back all these emotions for decades. He is the one who has always been unregarded. Unassessed. And not noticed. Their men, the bodyguards, the employees, the children, everything. Only subject under Violin procedure. Like a kingdom, the Violin is the queen in control. James wasn't allowed to interfere unless he got permission from Violin.

"You can't hold back the thought of all that by yourself, can you? This is a marriage that we make on the basis of love. Don't you think everything should be discussed?"

Violin did not understand why if there was anger from James, the man had to channel it through betrayal like this. Can't all of this be discussed in a good way? Isn't that the meaning of marriage?

"You're a woman with an unusually large ego. There's no way for me to speak well. It's been difficult for your character to give up and want to win on their own. I've memorized that one character of yours, baby!"

James is telling the truth. He closed his eyes for a moment, realizing with great weight that what he was saying was reality. The reality that James has endured for so long. As a man, he always needed self-esteem. Something he could not get from his own wife.

"What's your plan, James? Where is this shit going?" Violin began to lose patience. His mind still rejected what he heard straight from James' mouth. It all seemed unreal to him.

"I plan to let Luiz's people hold Alice. Once Luiz gets his will, that's when I can just finish you."

Violin gawking in disbelief. He stopped rebelling and looked at James blankly. His brain stopped turning for a moment. Like an engine, Violin felt his shaft lost its lubricant.

"No. No way! Isn't Klayver your own son? Trapping Alice is tantamount to pushing Klayver to death. Didn't you ever say love me and love our children?!" Violin shouted furiously. He felt defeated and tired. All the logic he had ran out to argue with James.

Slowly, James stood up and stared at the old Violin. Right now the man was like a stranger to Violin. There was no trace of any closeness between them.

"I still love you. And loving our children certainly. It's hard to lose you. But this is what I have to sacrifice to get your organization and business, Violin. About Klayver. That child is too difficult to control and can be a threat to me at any time. It's also good that I teamed up with Luiz to eliminate him!"
