The Rhyme of the Depositary

The Rhyme of the Depositary
099 - SEASON 2

Alice sat weakly outside the bathroom door. His face was deathly pale with lips trembling violently. Earlier this morning after exercising, he felt weak suddenly and had spots. Morning sickness should not be this bad. But just now he was removing a lot of fluid from his stomach in the bathroom sink. Every time he vomited, he felt his spots getting worse. She researched her underwear and realized her flecks were growing. Fortunately, the spots are still relatively light because they are only in the form of spots with a faded color.

However, Alice was still worried. He forced his way up and stuttered in search of William. Usually the man is quite deft if he gets a little complaint from Alice.

Alice felt dizzy. The trip out of the bathroom was a long time ago. Every step of hers felt heavy and demanded Alice to give up at any moment. Cold sweat started flooding down his nape, spreading to his back and making the cotton pajamas he was wearing felt damp.

When Alice reached the hallway, she stopped for a moment. His breathing is intermittent trying to pick up every available oxygen. His lungs worked very hard. He had to raise his head up in hopes of making it easier to breathe. That's when Alice just remembered, William was still busy guarding Sila in the hospital so that the butler was not at home. How could Alice forget such an important thing?

"Oh my God, Alice. What's wrong with you?" Jasmine's voice sounded faintly from the direction of the end of the passageway. Alice had seen the woman running towards him and supporting his body when Alice felt unable to stand up straight.

Alice's consciousness was only half as she was brought downstairs and put in a car. Jasmine immediately moved quickly as she saw Alice's unfavorable condition. Her strong instincts tell her that something is wrong with Alice's health. He arranged for the family driver to immediately take them to a nearby hospital.

Time feels long for Jasmine. He waited outside the ER room to wait for news of what was happening to his friend. Looks like Alice was okay last night. There was nothing to indicate he was ill or anything of the sort.

For some time Jasmine waited in the cold seat of the hospital. He took the phone and decided to call Rachel. She was a close friend of Alice. He could have comforted Alice better when Alice woke up.

Jasmine immediately stood up as a doctor walked out of Alice's room with a stethoscope she held around her neck.

"Dok, how's Alice doing?" jasmine asked worriedly. He looked at the fifty-year-old doctor with half-bald hair.

"Are you his family?" ask the doctor.

"I'm a close friend." Jasmine nodded steadily. He glanced into Alice's room with a worried look.

"Is Alice's condition serious enough?" jasmine asked again repeating the previous question.

The doctor made a small smile, trying to calm Jasmine down. He patted Jasmine on the shoulder with a fatherly attitude.

"Don't worry, Miss. Mrs. Vaquez was just anemic and physically exhausted so he had mild spots related to his womb. I'll prescribe some medications and multifitamins. In the meantime try to keep an eye on your friend so that he does not do activities that drain energy and multiply rest in bed."

Jasmine smiled with relief. At least Alice's condition is not as bad as what she feared. Alice just needed to rest and reduce her accreditations.

"Maybe all this time Mrs.Vaquez was too energy-forsed?" ask the doctor.

Jasmine grimaced small. How could he explain to the doctor that every morning and evening Jasmine always trained Alice with physical exercise that was hard enough? Jasmine would definitely be cursed by that doctor if she were to come clean.

"Maybe. She's an overactive woman." Jasmine chose to lie a little. Inwardly, she felt guilty for pushing Alice to this point so much that she forgot she was basically pregnant. Pregnant women have many limitations in various fields, especially in using their energy.

Jasmine felt like she had acted foolishly. He needs to apologize to Alice later. He made the woman do many of the things she wanted to do just to get stronger. Just look at the results. Alice's body screamed out in protest and asked for the right to rest.

After the doctor moved Alice to the general outpatient room and allowed her to receive a visit, Jasmine immediately entered Alice's room. His friend had woken up and greeted him with a small smile. A needle appears in his left hand, connected directly to the infusion tube. Alice's face looked a little pale. He waved at Jasmine and pointed at the chair beside the cot to signal for the woman to sit there.

Jasmine returned Alice's smile with just as warm. He sat down next to his friend and looked at Alice's dim face.

"You okay?" jasmine asked worriedly.

"good. Just a little tired." Alice still smiled a little. His face became increasingly thin when the woman was ill. Jasmine stared at the floor for a moment before finally looking back at Alice's face.

The woman had just experienced a flek. Lucky only light spots. If bleeding or even a miscarriage were to occur, Jasmine would definitely be the target of Klayver's next murder.

Probably not Klayver's target. Before the man hunts her down, Jasmine would rather he end his own life. Jasmine had never been this comfortable before. His actions are completely intolerable.

"Oh my God, Jasmine. Stop blaming yourself. It is not you who is wrong, my condition is not possible. I am the one who is too poor in health. I think this pregnancy will be the same as the previous pregnancy, it turns out my body's reaction is different in receiving a lot of activity." Alice said softly, she sat leaning against the head of the bed that had been set automatically with the addition of soft pillows so that her position was comfortable.

"If you want to be admitted, I am the one who has pushed you to the harshest limits of what your physique can accept. I'm really sorry, Alice." Jasmine clasped Alice's hand and looked at the woman regretfully.

Alice observed Jasmine's appearance. He only wears casual t-shirts with simple knee-length jeans, away from his style all along. Her face was without makeup at all. But with an appearance like this, Jasmine was actually seen giving off a new aura of tenderness. Alice preferred the appearance of the woman now.

"Stop acting like that, Jasmine. Now the most important thing is that I'm okay sak. Just need extra rest and be required to act like a slacker." Alice pouted a little. Doctors have suggested during this month or two he should get more rest. Sleep is an activity recommended by doctors. His mind cannot be stressed either. As much as possible should be relaxed without thinking about excessive loads. Especially the workload.

"alright. After this, I promise to take better care of you." Jasmine was determined in her heart she would be more serious in looking after Alice. In addition to having been paid a lot by Klayver, he also has an emotional bond to Alice. For a woman who rarely finds out what friends mean, Alice has become a person she can afford to be special.

"Alice!" Rachel opened Alice's ward suddenly. He looked worried and walked over to his friend in a hurry.

"Rachel, how did you get here?" Alice looked surprised to get a sudden visit from her friend.

"Jasmine has informed me. He said you were unwell and hospitalized. I'm heading straight here as fast as I can. I also contacted Daniel. He'll be here soon." Rachel sat down by Alice's bedside and stared at the infusion hose with a worried look.

He looked at Jasmine, looking for a wordless answer.

"He was exhausted and anemic. He had experienced a mild spot. In the meantime, we need to rest a lot." Jasmine explained briefly. He didn't want to make Rachel more anxious.

"You've been pushing your energy too much lately. Maybe you really have to go through this before you finally reduce all your activities. In the meantime, let Daniel and Jasmine handle your work. Aren't they both quite expert and deft in business?" Rachel proposes. He looked at Alice proudly as if he had managed to present the best way out.

"It doesn't have to be. I have a lot of assistants I can count on. Jasmine and Daniel must have been busy with their own company." Alice smiled soothingly towards Jasmine.

Indirectly, Jasmine thanked Alice. For whatever sake, he would never be able to cooperate with Daniel. Including holding Alice's business. Not that Jasmine objected, but between her and Daniel there was too much contention.

"Jasmine, Axel doesn't know about my condition yet. Can you tell Axel and Helena and calm them down? I'm afraid they're too hysterical." Alice looked pleadingly at Jasmine. Helena is a very worry-free person. Alice was afraid that the good woman would be hysterical to hear she was hospitalized.

"alright. If so, I'd better get home now. It would be more effective to inform them directly than through a cell phone." Jasmine stood up, tidied up her simple t-shirt and took a fleeting hand to Rachel to say goodbye.

"Later in the afternoon I'll be here again" Jasmine promised to leave the ward.

Inwardly, Jasmine was grateful that she was able to go home soon this time as well. Imagining Daniel would be here any minute and having to be in a room with that man made Jasmine feel uncomfortable.

After Jasmine's departure, Rachel looked at Alice with a questionable gaze. His forehead was slightly wrinkled with curiosity.

"Jasmine can dress casual as well as it turns out. I thought the whole closet was just lingerie and a sexy dress" Rachel bluntly commented.

"Hahaha, I was also a little surprised earlier. It seemed like he was in a hurry to take me to the hospital and take care of my administration, so he did not have time to pay attention to his appearance. But if I'm gonna admit it, I'd rather have Jasmine like this." Alice responded to Rachel's comment with a small smile. He felt that he was starting to discover Jasmine's true persona
