The Rhyme of the Depositary

The Rhyme of the Depositary
025 - SEASON 2

Alice tensed. What Klayver had just said made his feelings chaotic.

Alice stared at Klayver's face which implied ferocity. He was like a demon ready to slay the enemy. Hatred was clearly imprinted in both of his eyes.

Alice never thought Klayver would find out the truth so soon. Just this afternoon he was worried about this fact, the afternoon Alice already had to face Klayver's hatred.

"Where can you conclude this?" alice asked a little scared.

Could Klayver have high intussions? Or does it have other reliable sources that provide accurate information?

Whether that's the right one, Alice thinks Klayver must not be as simple as it seems. His brain is above average. His instincts must be accustomed to detecting danger. He has lived a long life befriending many difficult conditions.

"His face is a little familiar. When you referred to him as Daniel, I remembered that my source, who said the same name as his, had tried to pry my identity. Today I checked the truth and confirmed my suspicions. Turns right. He's one of my hunters."

Clayver acted quickly. After he leaves Alice's house, he moves William's organization and rushes to contact the informant he has.

Alice was overwhelmed with worry. He looked at Klayver and thought of many ways to calm the man down.

Daniel may have indeed committed an act that had offended Klayver. But Alice believes Daniel is just a tool for others to find this information. Basically, Daniel has no intention of directly injuring Klayver.

"Klayver, please understand Daniel's situation. He's not the kind of person who can plan a murder. He's not a cruel man. I'm sure like he accidentally received a job scraping information about you, he's just an intermediary. Daniel is not the one who wants your death. He's just a tool."

Clayver heard Alice's defense and his eyes narrowed to form a moon of tsabit. His emotions are still illegible. Alice was hard to detect the emotions Klayver had. The man had a flat face that hid emotions from the world. I don't know who he allowed to reveal it to.

"If I tolerate the man who hunts me, my life is long over, Alice." Clayver turned his back to Alice. The killing intent in his eyes grew increasingly viscous. Alice suspects she'll make the calculations on Daniel tonight.

Alice blingsatchem. He stood up and walked towards Klayver, grabbed Klayver's arm and grasped it tightly.

When their skin touched each other, it was like there was an electric current flowing. The touch that brings the effect in the way Alice used to feel with Anson.

For a moment, Alice's mind seemed temporarily blocked. This touch made his common sense chaotic. He loosened his grasp, but soon he strengthened again after remembering what his purpose was now.

"Daniel is my friend. He is one of the most valuable people to me. Please don't make calculations with him. I promised and I'll guarantee he'll stop his actions. I'll make him no longer look for information on you."

Alice squeezed Klayver's arm tightly. He made this arm the only rope that saved Daniel. Daniel's face became more and more in Alice's memory. The man who cared for her is now in danger of being destroyed because of Klayver. There was a heavy feeling that engulfed his heart.

"Pardon is not one of my basic traits, Alice. You can't ask that of me. Not just Daniel. Even if you yourself make information about me a business transaction, I will never forgive you." Klayver said lightly, but his words were like daggers lacerating to the depths of the heart.

Klayver's soul is cruel. Alice had thought the words she had promised could change the man's stance. But it seems that even crying blood will not change the situation Klayver wants.

"This time, Klayver. Don't hurt Daniel. If after this Daniel still does something that bothers you, I will never stand in the way of your intentions again. I'm gonna make Daniel back out of it."

Alice is still trying to bargain with Klayver. She wasn't sure if this worked, but Alice had to try to reach the end before she decided to give up.

"I can't."

Klayver remains stubborn. He looked at Alice who was now shining helplessly. There was pain clearly visible from the look on his face. Perhaps, the woman did consider Daniel an important figure. It was hard for Alice to lose him.

"Klayver, I-I"

"Let's make a bet" Klayver said, cutting Alice's words.

Alice was confused. He could not understand the direction of Klayver's conversation which suddenly changed direction.

"What would I get if I let Daniel get away from my execution?" challenge Klayver meaningfully. Klayver's eyes were still unreadable, making Alice forced to guess.

Could Klayver be trying to take another advantage of this condition? If it's true, Alice doesn't care as long as Daniel survives the situation. Daniel's life is on top priority.

"How much do you want? I'll make a big compensation for you, as long as you release Daniel."

A determination read aloud from Alice's countenance. He'll do anything as long as Daniel survives. That's all Alice wanted.

After all the things Daniel did for her in Alice's downturn, it was her turn to do something for her friend. This was all Alice could do as a form of gratitude to Daniel.

"I don't need any more money, Alice. That thing hasn't had a price in my eyes for a long time." Klayver answered slowly.

"Want to?" ask Alice to doubt. The grip of his hand on Klayver's arm was getting tight. What does this man want? Isn't money one of the most sought after things?

" Let's bet. If Daniel can't stop his actions from interfering with my behavior, I'll do the one thing you asked of me. Even if it doesn't make sense." Klayver took a pause before finally resuming.

"However, if my identity is discovered and leaked to the other party because of Daniel's actions, you owe me one night. One night I'll demand you do your duty as a wife. And, finish Daniel off, of course."

Klayver stood under the night sky. He sat in the gazebo behind himself. The night mood was quiet. There was only the sound of crickets in the background, complementing the whirlwind like a night groan.

Klayver's arms he crossed. His eyes sharpened as if they were able to pierce through the darkness. His mind was filled with many things.

Klayver recalled the transaction he had said this afternoon to Avery. What he casts is a lightning mind that he has not yet digested. But it has been revealed.

Clayver is a calculating man. During his lifetime, he put logic above all else. All the actions he took through mature and long thinking.

This afternoon was one exception. Inexplicably, seeing Alice's reaction at that time her self-desire rose and demanded to be perfected.

Alice is a pretty tough woman. The loyalty of the flock he had was greater than his fear. His possessiveness amazed Klayver. Inevitably the man felt salute to the stubbornness of the woman.

Klayver could have rejected his request, however, he had never forgiven anyone who could potentially bring new dangers, especially for his life.

That's why it's called Eyes Evil. Because he has cruelty like the devil. But somehow, once in his entire life he had made an exception. He was being lenient to Daniel just because of Alice.

That woman is too unique. Klayver saw a lot of character fusion in Alice. There's an automatic magnet that pulls Klayver closer to Alice.

Maybe this isn't good. Valuation that begins to falter can be a sign that he is less competent. Moreover, the assessment is due to women. He laid down all the rules he had just for Alice's sake.

Damn indeed. Klayver had challenged himself at a point that was hard to accept. He lures Alice to share the night with him. In fact, if he wanted to, he could find another woman who was more perfect and simpler than Alice.

But the desire he had was already formed very strongly. There is a strong desire in the corner of the heart to draw a new story between him and Alice. Either way nature will make it what it is, but Klayver is determined to complete the desire he has. At least, he currently has a little time.

After quite a long time standing in this place befriending the night, Klayver turned away and entered the house again. He walked straight to Alice's room. The room he's been in this week.

Alice was asleep. His breath is soft and regular. He lay on his side, turning his back to Klayver. Her bright red hair challenged Klayver to touch her.

Slowly, Klayver lay on the other side of the bed. He propped his hands under his head, faced upwards and began to close his eyes. In a short time, his breathing began to be regular. The night covered them both with beautiful dreams.

This morning Alice woke up without Klayver beside her. He always wakes up early and sleeps late. So Alice could only see the crumpled bed, Klayver's former bed.

Alice got ready at high speed. Today he intends to come to Daniel, warning the man about the search for Eyes Evil. Alice must act quickly before Daniel does anything further.

After taking a shower and changing clothes, Alice went downstairs in a hurry. He calls Daniel while he heads to the dinner table to remind Daniel that he will be visiting soon. Daniel was a little surprised to hear of his friend's sudden visit. But he accepted with open arms and waited for Alice's arrival.

Fortunately, Daniel is still not leaving for work, Alice does not need to swallow new disappointments.

Susan served roasted beef ribs covered in honey. Alice spent the entire meal alone. Axel is still busy with Helena while Klayver is out of nowhere.

"Klayver's out early in the morning, Alice," Susan explained as knowing the curiosity the woman had.

"Oh, where'd he come out?" alice asked as she picked up a glass of water at the end of the table.

"Eitherway. He didn't tell me. When I asked, he just said he was going somewhere. If you're worried, just call her phone," Susan advised.

Alice nodded lightly accepting Susan's input. Inwardly, he promised not to contact Klayver. They had their own affairs so it would be best for Alice not to know many of the secrets that Klayver had.

It's up to Klayver where to go. Over the next two months, he can help find common ground about Anson's death, that's more than enough.

"Susan, today I'm going to Daniel's place. If Axel asks later, tell him I'll definitely be back before dark." Alice gave Susan a message.

Axel often asked about his whereabouts. If she's not told, Alice is worried that the child will cause trouble.

"alright. Don't worry about it, Alice. Should I get the driver to drive you?" tawar Susan is sincere.

"No. No. gabe. Let me go alone."

Alice walked out of the dining room with steady steps. Susan who saw his departure could only snort a little. His eyes turned slightly dark. He cleared the dining table with an unsightly expression.

Slowly, Susan contacted someone via cell phone.

"He was on his way to Daniel. I suspect Alice's visit this time is not as simple as usual. I saw his face slightly depressed. Could he be discussing that?" susan asked the man across the street.

"We don't know. We can't follow his movements either. All we can do is wait for what happens next. Keep your ears up!" tell that guy.

"Well," Susan replied with reverence.

Alice spent an hour on her way to Daniel's house. This morning some lines have congestion, so the journey that is usually taken for thirty minutes can be doubled.

Upon arriving at Daniel's house, Alice greeted her friend in person. Daniel stood hesitatingly in a formal suit. It seems like he had planned to leave for work before.

Alice felt a little guilty for holding Daniel's departure. But given how important what she wanted to say, Alice again made up her mind.

"Tumben you came here so early, Alice." Daniel lets Alice into the front room.

"Yes. There's something I want to talk to you about" Alice said, trying to give a sincere smile.

Daniel who caught the awkwardness of this woman could only frown. It seems that Alice's arrival holds some purpose.

Daniel directs Alice into the living room and leaves the front room. Sensitive discussion will be better in the room. They are better at exchanging conversations there.

"Coffee?' bargain Daniel towards the corner of the room.

Daniel was single without any servants around. He was used to living practically and serving himself in everything. Therefore, this house is designed in such a way that it is easy for Daniel to do anything. One of them he put some automatic coffee maker in some corner of the room strategically.

"alright. With cream and sugar" Alice replied.

"Actually, what made you come this early to my house, Alice? I'm sure there's something important you're gonna say." Daniel was quick to prepare coffee for the two of them. This automatic tool starts to emit familiar sounds.

"I want you to stop the search for Eyes Evil."
