The Rhyme of the Depositary

The Rhyme of the Depositary
048 - SEASON 2

Alice's eyes widened. It took a long time to capture what Klayver had to say about Susan. It is very difficult to understand what the man is saying.

Susan was Anson's cook for a long time. Even when Alice meets Anson for the first time, the gypsy-blooded man has become part of the Anson family. Their bonds are formed naturally.

"Maybe you made a mistake about Susan." Alice still had slim hopes. Hoping that if there was a spy infiltrating the family, that person wasn't Susan.

Klayver only gave a small smile. He understood Alice's dilemma. It is not easy to receive information that the person closest to you is the one who spies on you.

The world is complicated. God places people with many goals around us. Many times they wear masks so we never know their true form.

Alice turned around and walked away. But Klayver's strong arm caught him. The man endured Alice's departure and hugged her warmly.

"Where are you going?" it was right in Alice's ear.

"Walking to Susan." Alice looked down weakly, feeling helpless.

"Don't! Let this information stop here. It's better that Susan doesn't know if we've found out about her identity."

"But-"

"Remember, Alice. If you talk about all this to Susan, that woman could warn Maxen about this condition. We're just gonna lose Maxen and have to start hunting from scratch. It would be better if you could hold back."

Alice flinching. What Klayver said is true. He can't do anything to keep Maxen on his toes. Everything is too sensitive. If she wanted to bring up the matter, Alice would have to hold back at least until the main issue was resolved.

A warm kiss Klayver gave to Alice at the top of his sheep. Their eyes rubbed against each other, full of understanding. Sometimes, under some circumstances, even words are no longer needed.

Tonight feels beautiful. Nature as presents itself in a stunning charm. Alice coiled spoiled in her husband's arms. He lay comfortably on Klayver's muscular arms.

Like the night before, the two men spent the night declaring their feelings of love. They blend in a beautiful dance and complement each other.

The more days Alice grew to admire the beauty Klayver had. That figure contains many secrets. Behind the cold and cynical attitude that the man had, Klayver was a pretty considerate man.

His words are flat. But his actions have spoken much. How Klayver enveloped Alice every night after she fell asleep, how she looked at Alice full of adoration, how she touched Alice with tenderness. It shows how much care he has.

Some people are able to reveal the emotions of the heart easily. Some people appreciate it with action. Clayver is the second kind of person.

Although no words of affection were spoken, but far from all that, he had given more than Alice expected. Their marriage was better than the original plan.

What else did Alice expect? He had things that he had previously thought were hard to come by.

"So, what are your plans for Maxen?" ask Alice suddenly. He needs to prepare himself for the plan Klayver made.

Whatever happens, Alice is determined to get back at Maxen and make him experience what Klayver did. Everything must be balanced.

"We will execute Maxen with his three subordinates two days later. I need to prepare my people first." Klayver answered quietly with half-circumcised eyes. From the angle Alice saw today, Klayver's face grew more dominant and masculine. Its copper-colored skin adds to the value Klayver has.

"Didn't you say you'd execute Maxen first before taking care of his three men?" Alice was a little confused.

Klayver turned around, hugged his wife softly and rubbed her silk-like red mane.

Klayver's eyes opened wider. Her golden retina was like a night cat staring at an object with great sharpness.

"After I consider, it would be more effective if they were attacked at the same time. So each person has no intention of warning each other. Although I wouldn't mind hunting them down one by one, but it would be better to solve one case simultaneously. Other than that …." Klayver's words were floating. He stared at the ceiling of the room and hid many things.

Alice felt something was up. He rubbed Klayver's arm and said softly. "What's up, Klayver?"

"There were some parties who started hunting me intensively. I need to prepare myself for all the worst possibilities. So I have to finish Maxen and his three men quickly, so as not to spend too much time," he explained at length.

Klayver doesn't want to hide this from his wife. Things start to be wary of. Some of the opposing sides of Klayver have taken concrete steps to corner him.

Klayver's identity can be revealed at any time. Klayver only hoped that if it happened, he would not bring Alice into danger. The woman was too precious for her to drag in the destruction.

"Is everything okay, Klayver?" Alice could not hide the worry from her voice. He looked at Klayver, imagining that if this man faced a problem while Alice could do nothing must have been very painful.

Alice never felt like a weak woman. But since meeting Klayver, he felt unworthy to be with her. It takes a strong woman to keep up with Klayver. The man brought a lot of trouble and needed a truly resilient woman. Alice, on the other hand, will only bring Klayver in the fall.

Had Alice been a strong woman who understood the ins and outs of the dark world, perhaps, she could have been of little use to Klayver. Unfortunately, she's an innocent woman who doesn't know anything. So Klayver's burden is impossible he helps.

"Everything's fine, honey." Klayver said lightly. He smiled sincerely, catching his wife's worries.

As it turns out, having someone who is attentive is a lot of fun. Klayver's never felt this way before. Only his family cared enough for him, although they were separated for eight years for several reasons.

Long ago, Klayver once had a Holy. Physically, she is no less beautiful than Alice. But their personalities are very different. He never got anything similar from the Holy. This kind of attention, care, even affection, he just got from a woman named Alice.

"I wish I could be a strong woman so I could help you in every difficulty." Alice lowered her face weakly into Klayver's shoulder groove.

Quite surprisingly the offer came out of Alice's mouth. A woman who has no power at all.

A warmth began to crack, infiltrating every emotional crack Klayver had. He's feeling fucked. What Alice had said shook her conscience.

Oh God. What kind of woman Alice is that she is able to destroy Klayver's emotions in such a way.

Klayver feels lucky to find Alice in her difficult wanderings. If he was a normal guy with a normal life, could their story be better? Living, getting married, having many children, and aging together.

Unfortunately, they are both different people. Klayver has a dark soul that is impossible to leave behind. He is not Anson who can leave a dark life and live life as a normal businessman without shadows.

He is different from every brother who has business skills in various fields. Clayver is a killer. His soul had been damaged and his instinct was only created for hunting. Problems are like mandatory things that pursue him from the back.

Honestly, he didn't know where their relationship was going. Right now everything is still too vague.

"I'm proud to know you, Alice. You're perfect for your current condition. Never try to change." Klayver stroked the nape of his wife and kissed her softly. For God's sake, he began to admire this woman with all her advantages and disadvantages.

"I'm also proud to know you, Klayver. You have a very special other side. You can hide from the world with your cold attitude, but I know behind this," Alice pointed to her husband's bare chest. "There's warmth and tenderness that you keep." Alice smiled warmly.

Klayver grabbed Alice, made the woman strangle and showered her with a friendly kiss.

"Alice, everyone always has the other side. One can never be forever right and forever wrong. It's the purpose that makes people clash and drop each other." Clayman began to explain.

The man straightened his body, choosing to lean on the head of the bed. He arranged for Alice so that his wife lay on his lap.

"Alice, try to understand this. Behind the bad guy, there is a reason that drives him to do that. Behind a good man, there are opportunities where he can commit crimes. We are driven by desire."

Klayver had understood this for a long time. He had seen many other sides of a villain worthy of admiration. He also often sees the bad side of famous characters who are adored.

Everyone keeps their secrets. We can never guess what someone is like. Because even we can turn into a figure that is never expected.

"I've experienced many things and met many kinds of people. You know, Alice. I try not to hate the man who hunts me, even though I intend to kill him. Because basically, it's just a game of life. We fight for life. If I don't kill them, they will kill me. They are too. We all have different goals and are intersecting with each other. If someone kills me one day, I try not to hate them. It's the conditions that put us in this situation."

Klayver tries to open up Alice's mind so that she understands many things in life. We don't always know black and white. There are gray, blue, green, and many other color blending.

Not always the world goes on pure. There are a lot of games that take place both done by a group of people and individuals. From that, there was a clash of objectives so that each of them tried to eliminate the existence of his opponent.

That is how the world goes. Cruel and without rules. If we want to survive in these conditions, we have to be ready in a devious game.

"Maxen and Anson are a small example of the theory I mentioned. Sometimes, there is nothing wrong and right between them. There may be a factor that puts the two at opposite points. The only way they use is to eliminate and be eliminated. Unfortunately, Anson was the losing side.

"Then, you avenge him with blind eyes without knowing all the underlying causes. It could be that after that, Rachel will avenge Maxen's death on you without elaborating on the reason as well. It's like a vicious circle. I don't want to have to walk like that. Revenge is the ultimate breath of any one's destruction."

Alice closed her eyes, feeling defeated by Klayver's theory. He hates this reality. But unfortunately what Klayver mentioned is the truth.

Alice does not care what reason behind Maxen killing her late husband. The only thing on his head was that the man had killed Anson so he deserved his punishment.

"Do I need to know the reason behind Maxen's actions?" alice asked doubtfully. Honestly, he was not ready to hear the reason was caused by Anson's own mistakes. To her, all the values had faded in Alice's eyes. He didn't care if he had to defy the angels, as long as there were people who hurt those closest to him, they deserved to die. Alice is not a holy woman. He doesn't have a very good heart.

"You can ask him two days later. I'll take you when I execute Maxen. Do you want me to force him to drink Novihock's poison?" ask Klayver to make sure.

Alice jerks. He looked at Klayver in surprise and asked puzzledly. "You intend to take me?"

"Yes. Sure oes. You need to see the end of the life of the man who killed your husband." Klayver said lightly. He guided Alice to lie sideways and embrace her from behind.

"After some thought, I can't see the death of a person with the same methods as Anson. Maybe you could use a gun or something. Is there a problem?"

Alice could not imagine watching Maxen die with the poison. Seeing it is the same as remembering Anson's death. Memories are too painful.

"No. I can kill with all kinds of weapons and clear evidence as fast as lightning. The police will never be able to detect it." Klayver calms Alice down and begins to tease his wife with a light touch.

Alice shrieked softly and turned her body suddenly. She lowered her face on Klayver's chest and avoided her husband's temptation.

"Klayver ...," call Alice then. His eyes are bright, wanting certainty.

"Yes?"

"Am I evil? Planning revenge and hunting someone's life." Alice felt defeated. He gripped Klayver's shoulder firmly to hold back so his tears wouldn't come out.

"No. Sometimes logic is lost when faced with feelings. Alice, if anyone were to finish you off, no matter who was wrong, I would still hunt down the person and make him feel thousands of sufferings before begging for his own death. That's the real nature of love."

Alice froze, unable to believe what Klayver was saying.

"So did Susan. Even though he's proven to be a spy, I'm sure he has his own compelling reasons."
