Daniel sits in an office that is the largest print media office in the city. He had not expected to be directed towards this place at all when he had agreed to meet with Black Hell.
It seemed that in addition to mastering the illegal business, Black Hell spread its wings to the legally recognized big business. The owner of this print media is someone named Jenkinz Marino. Either Jankinz Marino is part of Black Hell, or just on behalf of it for this business to be considered legal. Daniel would not be surprised if he found out information about Marino and it did not get concrete.
Typically, black businesses have more than one or two names that they use for specific interests. If traced further, one of the identities they use is only a random identity whose profile is taken from others. Fictional alias.
Through technology and development, Daniel is no longer surprised by all that. He was once asked to forge someone's identity. Actually Daniel could, but since it was not his specialty, he chose to refuse. It was enough for him to play the dark business of providing illicit information without adding to his list of crimes. Daniel doesn't want to put unnecessary risks.
Daniel waited a long time in the director's private room. He checked the clock and realized almost twenty minutes more Daniel was left alone. Either this is a coincidence, or indeed a new intrigue they play.
Some organized criminals have their own ways of getting to know the people they invite. One is to identify an object for some time with a device that detects heart rate, pupil reactions, emotions, and so on, and some things can show whether the person is trustworthy enough or not to establish contact with them.
There is a tool that can really detect it. Daniel had heard of it even though he had never experienced it himself. Daniel rolled his eyes and looked at every corner of the room. Could it be that the Black Hell organization was installing such a tool for him right now?
"I didn't install any devices like you're thinking right now, Daniel." A man in his forties greeted Daniel from the entrance of the suddenly opened room. The man was like a psychic who knew what Daniel thought.
Daniel turned his body and looked at the man. He is sturdy, Latin American with a strong accent and a handsome face that will certainly be glimpsed twice by any woman.
"I'm sorry" asked Daniel, raising one eyebrow.
"I'm Jenkinz Marino." The man reached out and was immediately greeted by Daniel.
Calmly, Jenkinz sat on the oversized chair and slanted one of his legs over the other. He took out a cigarette and turned it on expertly. Every sip he did seemed to be the greatest of delights.
"You want to?" hail Jenkinz with a devilish smile.
Daniel looked at this forty-year-old man with full investigation. Every one of his actions showed he was a great businessman as well as a ruthless trickster. Could it be that he was a leader of Black Hell that many people had been questioning all along? Or senior members of the organization?
I don't know which of those guesses is correct. Daniel is troubled to imagine he is talking to a print media owner whom he suspects of being a member of the high-class mafia.
"No, thank you."
Jenkinz shook his head, feeling funny at Daniel's rejection. Really special to the layman. Always reject something from suspicious people. There is no courage at all in betting. Always at a safe point.
"Can I know who you are, Mr. A marino? Are you the person behind the sender of my emails regarding Black Hell?" ask Daniel bluntly. He began to refuse to linger with this man. Being beside him made Daniel feel alert.
"Say I'm the one who called you. I'm a businessman and a member of Black Hell. But you don't need to know what I'm in that organization."
"I'm so honored to meet you" Daniel said in a cautious tone. He began to guess if Jenkinz must have had an indiscriminate position in Black Hell. He's probably a senior.
"Huh. Don't be so upset, Daniel. Just call me Jenkinz. I'm arming my organization to offer you an exciting opportunity. Chance that if you take it, you'll get a lot of money from us." Jenkinz threw away the cigarette ash that he had sipped in haphazard places. The ashes flew out and landed on the floor. Make the white ceramic stained with dark color.
"Depends on whether the opportunity is handled or not. I'm too picky with this kind of job, Jenkinz." Daniel still answered Jenlinz in a cautious tone. He did not want to take a big risk if he accidentally offended the man.
Many times, people who live on the streets with pure power like Jenkinz are sensitive about self-esteem. Just a little offended, he was easy to kill people without a second thought.
Daniel began to wonder in his heart. Could what Jenkinz has to offer relate to her ability in technology? Maybe break into the forbidden system? Or sensitive state documents? Or maybe money laundering. If true, Daniel would reject that outright. He's not too stupid to take a job playing someone's financial account, despite being able to. In addition to being insecure, it has potential to be negative for him. Daniel's not that stupid.
"Smart business people! I'm amazed." Jenkinz clapped himself, praising Daniel who was sitting awkwardly before him.
Daniel was getting anxious. Something is wrong with Jenkinz's expression. His tone was normal, but his eyes changed every few seconds. Sometimes there was cruelty in his eyes, sometimes there was great pride. Sometimes it's like being happy, sometimes being alert for no reason.
Maybe Jenkinz has a psychic disorder. Daniel has to be careful about it. He needs a gentle way and does not offend Jenkinz if he says he has to reject the man's wishes.
"Thank you for the compliment." Daniel gave a small nod, trying to act casual and ordinary.
"I have something you can do quickly. At the most, two weeks from now." Jenkinz began to speak more seriously than before. He threw away the many remaining cigarettes and grated them on the ceramic floor. The cigarette ash further littered the floor of Jenkinz's previously dirty room.
"I wish it was easy enough for me to do." Daniel tried to straighten his legs and rested them on the iron that ran across the table leg.
"I heard you're an expert businessman. I'll offer you something. If you accept, you'll get money from me. If I declare my wish but you still refuse, then …. " Jenkinz stared intently at Daniel.
Someone who was smart enough to turn down Jenkinz's offer, there was no better way for him than to be silenced. Unless the person can guarantee their conversation isn't spread.
For Jenkinz who was used to undergoing illegal transactions, he adhered to a secret formula that would only be safe after being silenced by death. There is nothing to believe but death.
"You're gonna wipe me out, aren't you? If so, it would be safer for me to refuse your request before you reveal your intentions. So I'm still safe to be left without knowing what your secret purpose is to call me." Daniel said frankly.
He got a hunch he wouldn't like what Jenkinz had to offer, no matter how nominal the guy offered him.
If indeed Jenkinz has ulterior intentions, it is better that he retreat from the beginning before he is considered a dangerous person.
"You sure you don't want to hear my offer? I'll pay you two million dollars if I accept this transaction. Half paid in advance, half in back. So, whether this mission succeeds or not, as long as you've done what I want, you'll still be paid a million dollars. What say?" Jenkinz sat back on the chair in an authoritarian manner.
Compared to money, principle is something very fragile. It can be fragile at any time being bribed by a considerable amount of money. Jenkinz has learned a lot about things. He knew that at some point, people could afford to be paid in nominal terms. Its nominal origin alone is sufficient.
Daniel who heard this offer could only frown small. Two million is too fantastic. If one is able to offer such an amount, he suspects that the work that will be brought for him must be heavy and morally depleting.
No. gabe. Daniel better reject all that. He was still sane enough not to take many risks in his life.
"The more the offer was high, the more I was afraid to get involved and accept it. I'm sorry, Jenkinz, I don't seem interested."
"Why? Is my offer less? What if two and a half million. I'll transfer the initial payment right now if you want to accept it. The job's pretty simple, as long as you're committed to this deal."
Jenkinz is starting to dislike me. He looked at Daniel with a little demand. Jenkinz used to be seduced and listened to. He didn't really like having to seduce someone to such an extent. Daniel is a man with a big ego to conquer.
"Give me a hint about the job." Daniel was increasingly clueless with Jenkinz's way of thinking. If the offer is raised by that amount, it is certainly not an agreement. Daniel just wanted to feel where this meeting really was.
"Simple. If I expose it, you'll have to take it. If you don't want to accept it but want to know my offer, then it's your life that I'll close. Pick one, Daniel. Don't be selfish. You can't figure out what my purpose is just to be rejected in vain. That's not my game. The one who knows what I want, he has to obey me. If not, I'll have to finish his life."
That's the rule Jenkinz has. He never half planned anything. Outsiders who already know the plan, if it cannot be subdued, it must be destroyed. Jenkinz could not risk Daniel would only use his purpose to spread to others, especially related parties.
Daniel pondered for a moment. He's increasingly convinced that dealing with Jenkinz for too long will only make his life a mess. Such a person was the kind of person he would avoid in all situations.
"Jenkinzn. Looks like I'm not the right person you can work with. Excuse me. I'm not interested. I'd rather play it safe."
Jenkinz seemed to not accept Daniel's rejection. But he can't do much. Daniel is a person who is quite highlighted, although not as big as the spotlight received Jenkinz. Killing him for no reason was quite troublesome.
After all, Daniel had not given up on the plan Jenkinz was thinking about. It's not too late to let go now. That was the only step Jenkinz dared to take for now.
"Rethink. I offered you a lot of money. I'll give you three days. If interested, I'll tell you what I want and I'll send you half the money in whichever account you want." Jenkinz smiled slightly, revealing his well-groomed white teeth. Even though his face revealed a smile, but deep down he harbored an enormous resentment.
Jenkinz has never been rejected. Daniel's attitude inflamed him. But he can't do much. Really upsetting. If Daniel were his men or a man with no name at all, Jenkinz would have made Daniel accept the consequences of being demeaning. But all that he had to endure at this moment.
"Alright, Jenkinz. I'll use those three days to rethink my decision." Daniel smiled slightly and before he said goodbye to Jenkinz, he took the time to chat with her for a while.
Anyone could see Jenkinz was a person with a big ego. Daniel still does not know Jenkinz's position in the organization Black Hell. All he knew was that rejecting Jenkinz would be a bad thing for him. Daniel tried to be careful.
After ten minutes of pleasantries, Daniel walked out of Jenkinz's room with a depressed look. God fucking. Dealing with such a person made Daniel feel his mood turned grim. If he knew this, he would have preferred to reject the offer via email.
On arrival downstairs, Daniel stared intently at the large print media office building. A little smile fell on his lips. He opened his small phone and activated some programs.
Who would have thought before Daniel walked out of Jenkinz's office, he placed a recording device on the lower side of his chair carefully. It is an advanced recording device that comes with an automatic destruction feature. After five hours, he would release his own chemical liquid that would melt its shape and vanish without a trace.
Five hours. That time was more than enough for Daniel to hear what Jenkinz was trying to plan.
