Jasmine sat in Daniel's backyard and looked at the man indifferently. He's not helping anything at all. A man as haughty as Daniel doesn't need to be helped. Let the man have his own troubles.
Jasmine looked at the inside of Daniel's house and wanted to curse Alice. More than anything else, Jasmine knows Alice left her here for a purpose of her shared approach. Jasmine was quite sensitive to realize that. She was not an innocent woman who saw things just from someone's cliche reason.
"They think we have a special relationship. So they're trying to give us a chance and privacy." Daniel looked at Jasmine and revealed what the woman was thinking as well.
Alice is a pretty romantic person. He gets incredible love from amazing people as well. That was why, ever since Alice found out about their kiss in the living room, she must have formed many plans to unite Daniel and Jasmine.
Romantic souls like Alice who believe in true love sometimes trouble others and trap others in the wrong situations.
Daniel doesn't want to blame Alice. After all, it was she herself who had provoked Alice's opinion that such a thought was formed.
"I knew. You think I'm a stupid woman?" Jasmine replied unhappily. He stared at the checkered shirt Daniel was wearing and gulped a little hard.
Daniel's body was wrapped perfectly by the shirt, making his arm muscles visible from behind the cloth clearly.
"You are a stupid woman." Daniel said lightly, feeling absolutely no guilt after making fun of Jasmine.
He lifted a piece of meat off the grill, applied some seasoning and grilled it again for a while. After the aroma was more tempting and the meat was quite tender, Daniel served it on a large ceramic plate.
There's a big table that Daniel put in the backyard for this event. Now, the room from the table is a lot of unused because two other people choose to enter the house for no apparent reason.
"If I'm a stupid woman, then there's no one who deserves to be called a smart woman." Jasmine chiming.
Measured from anywhere, Jasmine was a fairly intelligent person. IQ, EQ, and emotions are all good. Daniel alone is blind if he says Jasmine is stupid. The man could not judge something objectively for long.
"Stop praising yourself." Daniel said cynically. He picked up a spoon and knife to help finish his own grilled meat.
Jasmine who saw the man's behavior glared in disbelief. It's a selfish man. Even the meat he was good at.
"You don't have a partner. This stingy character of yours there's not gonna be a sane woman who's gonna like you." Jasmine pointed towards the roast beef in front of Daniel.
"I'm not stingy with normal women. You are the exception."
"Males who don't have the soul of a lady's first" Jasmine quipped sharply. He poured the wine in the crystal glass and downed the concentrated drink. Jasmine's throat was warm. He closed his eyes, drew the liquid and sighed softly.
Daniel who saw this scene could only stare for a long time. His mind started to run unnoticed. Being around Jasmine was indeed a misfortune in itself.
Daniel grew furious when he saw the clothes worn by the woman. Dress quite tight with open back and cleavage V. A necklace from a tiara looked seductive on Jasmine's neck, adjacent to her scorpion tattoo.
"What's up, Daniel? Your eyes look at me as if they're ready to come out of your petals." Jasmine smiled slightly, feeling victorious. He took another glass of wine and finished it slowly.
"Your confidence is too high, Jasmine. Your profession makes your character so haughty." Daniel commented, taking the bottle of wine that Jasmine had just poured and sipping the drink directly from the bottle
Jasmine only fell silent as she observed Daniel's actions. He blinked a few times, looking at the jakun Daniel who was going up and down while drinking the liquid.
If observed even further, Daniel is quite handsome actually. But this guy's character is pretty bad. Making Jasmine lazy to stay by his side for a long time.
"I heard from Rachel you were Alice's ex-boyfriend."
Daniel almost choked on hearing this sudden question and stopped his drinking. It's really not funny if Daniel has to choke in front of Jasmine. That woman will not stop laughing.
"What's wrong? Why are you suddenly bringing up this topic?" daniel asked suspiciously.
Jasmine shrugged, smiling slightly. Apparently this is true.
"Your smile seems to make fun of me." Daniel was disturbed.
Once again Jasmine smiled and placed the crystal glass containing her own wine on the large table.
"Everybody has a past. You're ashamed to admit yourself if you were Alice's ex-boyfriend?" Jasmine asked by raising one of her eyebrows.
Daniel doesn't know what Jasmine's purpose is in bringing this up. Clearly, he wasn't comfortable at all. What he wanted to cover, was instead dismantled and lifted to the surface by Jasmine.
Alice is the past. Daniel doesn't want to talk about it. A past deserves to be remembered, nothing more.
"Me and him are just the past. Is there something wrong with that?" Daniel asked defiantly.
Jasmine shook her head slightly, trying to stand up and intending to go into the inner space, catching up with Rachel and Alice. It's enough they both fucked her up tonight.
"Where are you going?" daniel asked, feeling heavy about the woman's departure. It's freaky. Daniel felt that his response had become too overwhelming as far as Jasmine was concerned.
"To the inside." Jasmine replied without looking.
"Jasmine!" call Daniel, this time his tone sounded firm.
Jasmine turned around, staring puzzledly at Daniel. One of his eyebrows he raised as a form of question without a word.
"What if …." Daniel stopped his words for a moment.
"What?" Jasmine's voice was impatient.
"If I want to have you one night, how much would you like?"
Daniel's gaze looked sharp, wanting an answer from the woman. While Jasmine looked dazed for a moment. After a long while, Jasmine raised her voice.
"Find another woman. I have a lot of guys who are prettier than me. As for me, I declined your offer. Sorry, Daniel."
…
Klayver sat in a room like an unused barn hall. In front of him, Violin sat on an old chair. They are in the suburbs of New York, far away from residential areas.
Violin looked at her second son with a concerned look. There was pain buried deep in his heart.
"My situation is precarious. Right now, Alice I trust Jasmine. If things get hotter, please bring Alice and Axel under your protection" Klayver said.
Klayver's eyes were wandering. He imagined the current state of Alice and Axel. His most important focus now was that his son and wife were safe. It was enough of him to plunge into danger. Don't let them get dragged away.
"You …."
"Please, Mom."
Violin sculpting long. There was pain clearly visible in both of his eyes. A very strong grief, seeing his own son plunge himself into danger.
Violin felt a sense of helplessness as a mother. He wanted to help, but his son refused. He wanted to extend a hand and face danger with the son, but Klayver chose himself
What is the function of power and big names if we can not protect the people we love?
Free. All of this has no value. Violin looked blankly at her son and smiled wryly.
Klayver was the son he gave birth to. The son who had now spread his own wings vigorously and chose to fly alone left the nest
The bird, which was fragile and ate from its mother's beak, is now plunged into the world alone. Challenging the wind and nature. Facing the harshness and cruelness of life.
In the past, Violin wanted her children to develop into strong figures. But he never expected that power would attract danger to his children.
Now, he just felt that it all turned on his son. The hope that he fosters, becomes what endangers the son.
If he knew this, Violin would turn back the clock and choose to educate her son in tenderness. Let her son know no power. As long as it will save their lives.
Like a tree, the higher it is, the more it draws the wind. All of these are philosophies that have proven to be true.
"I'll take care of Alice and Axel. If they are desperate, I will be the first to protect them and give them a home. Promise me, Klayver. You'll be fine and back safely." Violin gave a small smile, hanging up her last hope.
This meeting was initiated by Klayver himself. He needed to leave Alice to her mother directly. He doesn't know how bad his condition will be. As long as God was still giving away time, he wanted to see his mother in person. It could be the last meeting before Klayver's problems can be solved perfectly.
"I'll definitely survive, Mom. Believe this. You raised a strong son. You won't be disappointed by me." Klayver calmed her mother, understanding that Violin must be worried about her current state.
"I knew. I just can't deal with the situation if I suddenly hear bad news about you. Klayver, why don't you just take my help and use my resources?" Violin looked at Klayver with tears flowing down. It was a cold attitude that he had been nurturing all this time. Basically, Violin is like other mothers who can be devastated to see their children in difficult situations.
"Maybe later. Now I can still finish this all by myself." Clayver smiled soothingly.
Violin must be feeling burdened right now. Klayver couldn't calm her mother down except for cliche words. It must be useless under these circumstances, but at least better than nothing.
"Mom, I have grown into a powerful figure. I was able to detect danger and face a lot of intrigue. Sometimes, you have to trust your son completely. If this is all over, I'll come back to you and plan a vacation together. What if in Bali? The venetian? Egypt? Wherever you want." Klayver touched her mother's well-preserved arm and patted her affectionately.
"As long as you get home safely, I'm not interested in you offering me the world."
That is the meaning of a son. As long as its existence is awake, a mother will not be interested in exchanging it for anything at all. The existence of a family is something that everyone wants to maintain.
Violin stood up and grabbed her son. He hugged Klayver full of affection. Violin's body trembled violently, spilling all emotions. He wants Klayver safe. No matter what Violin has to trade it for anything. As long as that happened, any high payment he would be willing to pay.
"Mom, don't be so sad. I'm just going away for a while. By the way, I want to give you happy news. Alice is pregnant. She's pregnant with my son. You'll soon have a new grandchild." Klayver patted Violin's back gently.
This woman who had become his mother used to look strong and full of authority. Now, as time went on, the Violin's height only reached Klayver's shoulders.
Time has gone by quickly. Leaving a lot behind. Gushing up a lot of memories.
Hearing herself about to have grandchildren, Violin's cries grew. His emotions were very complicated this time. There is happiness, pain, fear, and pride. Everything mixed into one.
"Oh my God, I'll have a grandson. You should swear by the time your son is born, you should've come back and left all the trouble behind." Violin looked at her son with teary eyes.
"of course. I'm not gonna let my son be born without me."
"Klayver, wouldn't you rather send Alice to me now? I don't want to take any chances. I better protect her from the beginning. She's pregnant. Think of it!" Violin tried to urge Klayver. He wants the best for Klayver and Alice. Don't let bad things happen to them.
Klayver who understood the anger of her mother tried to smile and give understanding to Violin.
"If I send it to you too early, I'm afraid it will expose me and who Alice is to me. I'm not ready, Mom. Let it all go naturally. If things get more urgent, then you take Alice. Or if not, let Jasmine deliver it to you."
Violin sighs resignedly. What Klayver said is true. Sending it to the Violin early would only expose their identity faster.
"alright. I'm counting on you, Klayver. Do your best."
