The Rhyme of the Depositary

The Rhyme of the Depositary
THREE SIX

Sunlight crept slowly between the clouds, hitting whatever was beneath them. A woman of natural beauty sits helplessly in a wheelchair at a public funeral. The whirlwind of this afternoon seems to be a complement like a beautiful harmony of nature. Fly the dark hair of the woman. Behind him, another blonde-haired woman stared at the clouds in the distance. As if his mind wandered in another delusion. Thinking of something too complex. His face looks very sad.

A new gravestone bearing the words Kendrick Jafferson is etched beautifully on top of a high quality marble stone. Also engraved when the date he went home to the owner of life.

Nissan is a form of warning about the tragedy that has been unfolding wounds. There are painful memories that are buried with the body underneath. Memories that all the time rolling, will not be able to remove it.

"This is Kendrick's grave, Alice. He has rested quietly there." Rachel's index finger pointed at the feeding mound in front of them.

Rachel gently stroked Alice's head. Although Alice's consciousness was becoming increasingly unattainable, Rachel took the initiative to bring this woman before her husband's final resting place. However, this tomb deserves to be visited by him.

"Ken .. drick."

The voice quietly muttered. The sound that almost carried away the wind.

Rachel turned away in disbelief. Alice speaking? Could it?

Several times Rachel blinked her eyes, trying to convince herself. Could this be just his hallucination?

"You remember Kendrick? Your husband's. Say it again if you remember, Alice." Hope began to soar uncontrollably in Rachel's heart.

"Kendrick." This time Alice uttered the name louder than before. His eyes momentarily radiated a glint of deep yearning. But only for a second. Before finally his eyes returned blank.

"Yes God. You're making progress, Alice. Tell me one more time about Kendrick." Rachel shook Alice's shoulder excitedly.

"Kendrick," said Alice again.

Rachel was hysterically screaming. He hugged the frail body of his theme and laughed cheerfully. The sun is not just shining on them this afternoon. But he also shone a new hope in his heart.

A tomb guard who saw Rachel's actions was dumbstruck in disbelief. This cemetery is a place of grief. The woman had declared immeasurable happiness in this place. Has the Kenpaa changed so fast? People used to cry in this place without hope. Now someone is laughing with hope. Life is often unpredictable. The man guarding the tomb shook in disbelief.

Rachel paid no attention to the old man's reaction. He was still drowning in a momentary euphoria. It was as if Alice's development was the most powerful ecstasy capable of making her adrenals soar.

Rachel reaches out to Alice's wheelchair, pushing her through a small path winding out of the burial grounds. He helped Alice into the car and kicked slowly. Rachel takes the initiative to bring Alice to her personal therapist. The therapist should be aware of the patient's latest developments. Maybe this could be a breakthrough for Alice's recovery.

The development brought Alice turned out to be a new step for her life. After Alice is known to be able to respond to her late husband's name, every day her nurses bring Alice to Kendrick's grave regularly. Slowly the growth began to look significant. A few words began to form from her beautiful lips. He was even able to respond several times to Axel's whereabouts.

Although not a hundred percent improved, but Alice's expression could already show some things other than emptiness. His eyes often showed sadness. Only a few times were his eyes able to radiate happiness. One of those moments was when I saw Axel was next to him.

since Alice's response had begun to improve, she was encouraged to continue physiotherapy again. The doctor said there was still hope Alice would recover, although the odds were small. But everything needs to be fought as early as possible.

The result was so unexpected. He was very obedient to do all the physiotherapy stages. His brain started working normally, so it was able to process every command sent for him. His spirit returned significantly.

"I didn't think he could come back to his senses so soon." Daniel sits on a hospital bench, waiting for Alice to do her physiotherapist session.

"Otherwise me. You know Daniel? I've almost thought I'd lose Alice at any moment." Rachel shuddered in horror. He remembered the nights he spent accompanying his theme.

"From the beginning I knew she was a very strong woman. He has a determination as hard as steel." Daniel nodded with gratitude. In every tragedy given by God, Alice is a woman who has received it too often. I hope nature is friendly this time.

"Alice!" rachel exclaimed, welcoming Alice who was now being pushed by a nurse.

The woman in the wheelchair smiled. Then he was drowning in his world. Although his response was already working, yet he still often returned in his own world.

Well, everything needs a process. Rachel didn't want to push her will too hard

"How was your therapy this time? any developments?" Rachel replaced the nurse who pushed Alice and smiled thankfully at the young nurse.

"Good."

That was the only answer he gave.

Daniel looked at Alice with a radiant face. He knelt before Alice and smiled charmingly.

"Would you like to have lunch with me?" pinta Daniel is full of confidence.

Alice blinked a few times and was silent for a long time. There's no answer.

Daniel sighed in disappointment, realizing that Alice's defense was too strong for him to break down. Even under these circumstances, Alice still kept her distance.

"It looks like he hasn't had any interest in getting out yet, Daniel." Rachel tries to calm down Daniel who looks disappointed.

"Yes, I don't think he's ready to expose himself in public." Daniel nodded, trying to understand.

In the depths of his heart, he still harbored a special feeling for this woman before him. No matter how many women he was with, his heart only went back to this woman.

...

Tonight Rachel was busy preparing the roast with Anna in the backyard garden area of the mansion. Alice, sitting near them with Axel was sullenly. The boy is two years old. His behavior is becoming more active and difficult to control. Anna is forced to have to question him every time the little creature approaches the grill and plays with dangerous things. His curiosity is getting higher like children in general.

"Mommy mommy," call Axel shake Alice's arm.

Alice smiled in response and gently stroked the top of Axel's head.

Alice smiled without responding. Although his response had started to improve, he still responded to everything by standard. His mental state was still back in full. Maybe slowly, it will recover perfectly again. Everything just takes time.

"You want this? Be nice tonight and I'll be kind enough to give you a part." Anna smiled with affection. There was warmth emanating from the look in his eyes.

"Now. Want to!" Axel jumped up and down and was happy.

"Remember. Be a good boy and don't be naughty, ok?" Anna shook her head slowly looking at the child's extinction.

"Aunty, mommy wants to." Axel pointed at Alice beside him.

"Your mom will get her, too, baby," Rachel laughed crisply.

At every stressful time, often Axel becomes an encouragement for them. The child's behavior and the way he carried himself seemed to transmit a lot of positive expectations for them.

"Alice, you're lucky to have a perfect child like Axel. He will definitely grow into a young man that girls love in the future. In time, you'll have a hard time getting rid of the girls who are interested in him." Rachel chuckles.

Anyone can easily speculate that Axel will grow up to be an extraordinary child. His facial bones were firm, as if reflecting that he would be someone who would be unshakable. He also has a strong will. They are often overwhelmed to face Axel when the child already wants something.

"Had I been fifteen years younger, I would have been infatuated with him." Anna joking. He smeared some spices on the meat he roasted while imagining the face of Axel twenty years to come. Back then, Anna must have been an old woman with many wrinkles.

"Axel." Alice gently rubbed the small arm that was on her lap. His sight looked far away. I don't know what he's thinking right now.

Amidst their warm atmosphere, there was secretly another figure observing him. He wears a face mask and blends in the darkness. He stood on the high walls of the mansion, staring at them with a glare of sharp eyes. Even with all the security systems this mansion had, he could still break through it easily.

"Master. I found Kendrick's house. Apparently the useless man was dead leaving behind a widow and a son. What are our next actions?" he said through a small communication device hidden under his ear.

"That idiot is dead? Death has kindly saved him from my plans." Another heavy voice swept out hatefully.

"Are we going to continue with this plan?" ask men.

There's a pause. It seemed like someone called master on the opposite side of the middle was thinking something.

"Because he left his wife and son, maybe I'll use them instead of Kendrick. This grudge needs to be repelled. It doesn't matter if I have to walk to the end of the world to make my plans come true. Blood must be paid for. Torture must be paid for torture" he said cruelly.

"But Mr ...." The man observed Alice from above with a sharp look in his eyes.

"But what?" The man across the street asked impatiently.

"The woman seems paralyzed. He's using a walker."

"I don't care if he's paralyzed or not. Now, come back here and we'll talk about our next plan. We have to do it with full calculation. I don't want to rush. Good results based on good planning."

The man nodded and immediately left his place to spy. He easily walked around sneaking in the darkness of the night, as if the dark were his old best friend.

"He had a son" he said cruelly.

The man came to the wrong conclusion. He never thought that the little boy he saw was not the biological child of someone who had been the target of his hatred all along.

...

"Master, I got the information that Ms. White has been progressing. He's starting to get interacted back." William reported the good news he brought to his boss.

"really?" Anson doesn't believe it. His hope of Alice's recovery was already very thin. She had even been mentally prepared if Alice's whole life would never return to her normal state.

"Not only mentally, but his physiotherapy also brings results. The therapist who handled it said that if Ms. White regularly did physiotherapy, maybe in the next six months his legs can be moved normally back." William looked radiant. There was a sincere happiness from his facial expression as he conveyed this. It was undeniable that this man had regarded Alice as his theme.

"good. Keep an eye on Alice. Is Axel okay?"

"The child is getting more active. She was very well cared for and helped by Ms.'s friend. Whites. You won't be disappointed if you see the growth." William smiled sincerely.

Anson nodded with gratitude. The stream of heaven seemed to fill his heart which had been filled with guilt all along. At least, seeing the woman healed, is something that can reduce the problem.

"Are you going to meet them?" ask William.

"No. Maybe later if Alice is fully healed, I will see periodically Axel's development. If I show up now, I'm afraid Alice's condition could be re-interrupted. After all, all these misfortunes were caused by my own hands."
