Sam was lying on his bed and staring at the night sky through the window. He was thinking hard about how to handle Black Pond. Because, he thought about what the Count said after the party.
{ Banquet Night. After the dance, inside the meeting room at the Count mansion}
Sam and Count Falcon were the only people in the room. This is a small meeting room that has a round table with six chairs around it.
Sam and Count sat facing each other. The two did not speak at all. There was a jug with fruit juice and two glasses on the table.
After a long silence, Count Falcon finally spoke.
"Sam, do you know what I want to talk to you about?"
"Maybe about Murali's heirloom?" Sam answered with a bit of uncertainty. He was completely confused, why did the Count become mysterious.
"actually no. I'll talk about something else."
"Oh, please tell me what you want to talk about? I don't think we have much to discuss this personally other than a place in inheritance."
"It's about the incident of the last few days." Sam became tense after hearing this. The incidents regarding the past few days were mainly the murders he and Jack committed in the eastern and western regions. But he did not show it on his face and just looked at the Count with the same calm expression. Seeing Sam not reacting, the Count continued.
"The past few days, there have been a lot of Acolyte killings in the Eastern and Western regions, do you have anything to say about that?" The count finally came to the point.
"Oh, what do you want to say, Count Falcon? If you were to just ask my opinion on this, I would say that it is a pity that there are so many lives lost, but I think you should investigate this matter to find out the other party's motive." Sam replied while sipping fruit juice.
"That's why, I ask you. What's motive?" Sam immediately stopped his hand in the air, which was holding a glass of fruit juice. He looked at the Count with a cold expression, no other changes showing his mistake. He slowly said.
"You must speak carefully, Count Falcon. As the leader of the city, you must choose your words wisely. Accusing me like that, will only bring further trouble." When the Count heard Sam's reply, he took a sip from his glass of fruit juice, then Sam continued.
"May I ask, why did Count Falcon think that it was me?" Sam's curious. He didn't think that he left any clues. He did not have any bird-type savage beasts around him normally, and they did not know that he had a storage that could store ferocious beasts, nor did his Villanya get close to the forest to hide the beasts, either, and most importantly, his movements were shocking and cunning. He was actually impressed that the Count had somehow connected this to him.
But he had to make sure that the other party couldn't be certain whether it was him or not. At least until he was done with the things about the Black Pool here, the Count should not focus too much on him.
"Well, you're the only anomaly in the City right now, Sam."
"Why do you think so?" Sam raised an eyebrow as he asked.
"You were the only one who made contact with the figure that confused us."
Sam thought hard after hearing what the other party said, then after a while he asked in a low voice.
"Vicker?"
The Count smiled as he received the question and nodded while answering.
"Vickers was the only one that made us quite confused. We don't know where he came from, he just came here a few days before you did. He came out of nowhere. He came to town and opened a Shop, but we never saw anyone go to the store and buy anything.
But everyone knows about the shop. Whenever someone asks people in the city, about information about buying something, everyone will recommend the Vickers store if they do not know for sure.
For example, if you ask someone who does not know where wine is available, about where to buy wine, he will subconsciously answer that 'Everything can be bought at the Vickers store???”
You are his first customer. Don't you think that's too coincidental, Sam. First, he came to the City, then a few days later you came here. The first thing you do after coming here is go to the store. The most important thing is the typical reaction of people.
And a few days after you met him, a mass murder took place in the city. Although I cannot find any connection between the two of you, I cannot help but suspect you at all."
When the Count finished saying this, Sam heaved a sigh of relief. He thought that the other party found some clues through the investigation, but now he understood, that the other party suspected him because, he had only made contact with someone, which was truly mysterious in the eyes of the Count.
"Perhaps, you might think that way, but I went to the Vickers store just for business. As for why I went there, you can ask someone named Elder Arlo, for a personal grudge against the lord of our City, you can ask, he made things difficult for us by not arranging decent accommodation.”
Count Falcon, do you think I will bear it. I get money to live comfortably. That's why I went looking for a house and it was your people who took me to the Vickers store. If you have any doubts about this, you can investigate it yourself."
Sam's not that big right now. Although he had to be careful from now on to avoid any suspicion of the count, he had to get rid of all the thoughts that he was related to Vickers.
The count was also a little surprised by what he heard. He immediately called the officer inside and whispered something in his ear. After a while, the officer ran back and whispered it into the Count's ear. His facial expression then turned dark and gloomy, which showed that what Sam said was true.
What do the candidates think of him now? And even more than that, the situation led to something else, namely that he misunderstood someone of high status and immediately suspected him, even interrogated him personally. He really lost his face.
"Sam, I'm sorry for what happened and the words I said before." He immediately apologized.
But he was still somewhat suspicious, he had a hunch that the mass murder was still related to Sam, but suddenly an Elder from the Count mansion ran into the room.
"Mr Falcon. Something happened again." He immediately shouted as soon as he entered the room.
Falcon frowned in displeasure with the actions of his subordinates, but he held back his anger and asked.
"What's the problem?"
"Southern area. There's another mass murder. Many people are lying in the streets. Many shops and houses were burned."
When he finished his sentence, the Count immediately stood up from the chair. He looked at Sam who was sipping fruit juice casually and at the Elder who reported the news.
Although her intuition tells her that something is going on with Sam, she cannot find any reason to suspect him because there is an incident now and she can clearly see that Sam is always with her.
"Count Falcon, I'll go. I think you need to take care of some things." Sam stood up from the chair and he said with a smile.
The count also nodded his head and said. "I'm sorry for Sam's discomfort. I hope you don't remember it."
"Don't worry about that." Sam waved his hand and left. He was very happy that he made the decision to send Sky and Yanwu to deal with Acolyte in the southern region. That night he returned to the mansion and waited for the report from the shadow rat until morning.
The next day, he continued the plan to deal with the Novices and now, he was thinking about how to deal with the remaining ones without making the Count feel suspicious of him again.
Sam felt a little but frustrated about how to proceed. Originally, he wanted to lower their strength slowly and get them to gather in one place, but now, he needed a way to end it quickly. But he also had to remain clear not to fall under the Count's radar, after all it wasn't easy to dispel suspicions once they started.
After thinking for a long time, he only found one way. He needed to use the shadow rats directly. His real plan was that he would defeat, these Novices slowly and when the upper echelons learned of this, they would gather the remaining forces together.
Then he would use shadow rats to detonate the poison grenades he made to confront them. But now that he could not move directly against the Novices, he had to face them using only shadow rats. Jack is not a beginner.
If not for the fact that he needed blood for the panther, he probably wouldn't have dealt with the first ten rookies that the Count was at risk of catching.
Suddenly he thought of an idea. If he could do this, he might be able to get rid of the big fish first and then he would not even need to care about this little fried subordinate. Basically, all he needed to do was take care of all the subordinates who knew about the Black Water and Black Pool. They are all upper echelons that unite the entire organization.
If he were to take them down, the rest of the organization would disband completely and they might form some small gangs that divide the territory and illegal businesses. The mission he takes from Jack is to help him get rid of the Black water, not to rid the world of its darkness.
He immediately got up from his bed and went to his study. He was thinking about how to proceed with this plan and the best time to attack.
The night passed and the shadow rat came back to him to report.
After that was done, he continued his instructions.
"Supervise the four peak stage starters and the Black Pool Manager carefully. Follow pairs. Over the next few days, you should keep in mind their daily routines and figure out which of them are the most unemployed.
You have a week to find out. I need a time where all five of them can be attacked simultaneously. "
*squeeper*** [Yes, Boss]
“After that, you also practice shadow transfer things as well as element fusion. Use all dark element spirit stones if necessary. I want you all to learn it as soon as possible. Train well in the tower. You're all the most important for the next step."
He paused and gave them some spatial rings that could fit perfectly on the shoulders of the limbs.
"Try and see if you can use this. Tell me if there's a problem using it." The shadow rat took out a spatial ring and tried to scrape by. At first, they sensed some restrictions and soon each one of them took out some spirit stones from him. But they look exhausted. Looking at the sight, Sam nodded.
He thought that since the spiritual senses were the main thing to obtain something from the spatial ring, a savage beast might be able to do so. What limited them was their level of intelligence and since the Shadow Rat was one of the most intelligent creatures, it worked.
"Try and practice more with them. It'll be yours from now on." After that he waved his hand and sent them into the tower.
"Today, I'll work to improve the Panthers."
