Nicholas sat down and talked to Sam. His expression changed as if he remembered something serious and said in a serious tone.
"Sam, because of you, my father almost became a slave. How dare you? I'm challenging the battle now."
Sam rolled his eyes and said.
"Philip's wrong. You have indeed changed. Your acting skills went from bad to worse."
Nicholas' face turned red in shame.
"If you want to fight, you can ask, why do you embarrass yourself like that? Philip said from the side."
Nicholas looked at Sam and asked.
"What about Spa .."
"No." Sam immediately rejected it even before Nicholas could finish Spar said.
Nicholas looked at Philip and said.
"That's the reason." He then turned to Sam and said again.
"By the way, thank you for letting go of my father. I owe you one for that."
“You don't owe me anything. Even though I didn't mean to do that, it was indeed because I was your father ending up in such a state. It would be best if I call before the road. " Sam answered.
"I guess not. If you contact him, from his character he will not choose your side for fear of losing his status if the empire wins. And if he did that, you wouldn't let him go like that.
I think it's better this way."
Sam did not answer, but he agreed with what he said. He would definitely not let Duke go because that refusal would make him his enemy. At least in his current situation, he was an observer.
After some small talk, Nicholas asked.
"Are you guys joining the resource competition?"
"May I go?"
"What's? Wh why? Phillip and Jack tried that position. Why don't they go?"
"Well, unlike you, we're not actual temple members. We don't want to get too involved in temple affairs." Sam explained their situation vaguely without giving much detail.
Nicholas also did not ask for further information and said.
"You're gonna miss some great battles. We can observe the battle of the seniors. Although, you don't want to be in the first team, what about the reserve team? You can at least watch the battle."
"There's a backup team?" Philip asked in surprise.
"Of course there is. The first five on the list will be the first team and the next five will be the reserve team. If one of the candidates dies in battle, the reserve members will join the first team."
"That sounds good. I'll join the reserve team. How's yours?" Philip asked Jack. Jack also nodded.
Sam did not mind and agreed.
Nicholas left after some time and just as the three were about to come out and start a duel to get ranked, another guest came.
This time it was Arman.
"Hello, I hope I'm not interrupting." He greeted with a smile.
Philip and Jack did not know him, so they did not recognize him, at most his face was somewhat familiar, but that was it.
But from Sam's expression, it seemed like they knew each other.
"How are you?" ask Arman.
"I'm fine, thank you. How are you?" Sam replied in a polite tone, but he was expressionless. He knew that Arman's identity was special. Just like how he was not the real Sam in this world, Arman was also not the real Arman in this world.
That was why he felt the need to remain vigilant towards this person.
He did not know the reason, but he knew they were forced to be in this world for a purpose. Until he knows the right goal, Sam doesn't want to be close to others who come like him into this world.
Arman was not affected by his careless answer, he ignored it completely and said.
"I heard; you made a deal with Arthur. If you want, you should have made that deal with me, after all, we are old business partners. Aren't you?"
"It looks like you're not very experienced in business. There is no point in having the ability to make a deal if you are not in the right place, the right time, and the right thing to sell.
"So, now that I'm here, how about I take a chance?"
Sam raised an eyebrow as he looked at her.
"Thunder Prison. How about..."
"No deal."
Sam didn't even let him speak completely. He didn't even care about what the deal was, because, he wouldn't give the thunder prison away. He had obtained it and even provided an opportunity to obtain some other treasures, only to find out how it worked.
And after he knew how it worked, he only found out that this was one of the tools that suited him the most. No matter what, he could not recreate a tool more versatile than a thunder prison, at least not for the time being. So, there was no way he would just give up.
"You can at least listen to me first, before refusing."
"No need to waste your time because I sold it."
"really? It is not very useful in your hands, it can be used to its full potential only in my hands. You can ask me anything you want. I will definitely find a way for you to obtain it if it is within the thunder.god temple."
"Not interested."
"I can give you millions of resource spirit stones, which cannot be sold by normal sellers. You know, some things can't be earned with just money. You must have the right channel."
Sam smiled and said.
"I don't need it for now, but if the push comes to shove. I can create my own channel. I might not be able to buy what I wanted for its original value, even if it was only a hundred spirit stones.
But what happens, if you add another zero and make it a thousand, and another zero and make it ten thousand and another zero into a hundred thousand? It is only a matter of time before the channel opens by itself. [1]
You don't have to worry about that."
Sam said in a relaxed tone.
"Judging from the determination not to sell it for me. You seem to know something you shouldn't know. How do you know that?" ask Arman suspiciously.
"Oh? Is there something I shouldn't know? What are you talking about?"
Sam asked pretending to be confused.
Arman was silent for a moment and said.
"Why are you so stubborn about thunder prison?"
"It's definitely a treasure and even I can't use it now, it doesn't mean I won't be able to use it in the future. I'm an artist and I'm sure that I'll figure it out by the appropriate amount of time."
Arman almost sighed in relief when he heard these words.
"I hope you'll change your mind."
Arman said and left the place. He did not ask anything about the shadow sword or the thunder meteorite sand.
Philip and Jack looked at Arman, they were very curious about what Arman was talking about, but they did not ask as Sam would say if they needed to know.
After Arman left the place, he entered his residence and activated the formation reserved for his residence. He pulled out a sword from his storage.
The Sabre has an electric blue blade and a silver handle. This was the lightning sword he had obtained from the heritage palace.
"Did you get a thunder prison boy?" A voice came out from the sword. It was a spirit weapon.
"No. He's stubborn."
"I think you should get that thunder prison. Although this sword is useful in the short term and can increase your combat prowess, in the end it is still a fake made by copying my originals. Even the me you spoke to was not full consciousness I was only a small part of the original spirit within the original sword.
This Sword will prove the more useless it is to you, the more you advance in your strength.
Thunder prison was a different thing. It was an original weapon and was made by one of the greatest craftsmen from heaven. The teacher does not even use it before sending it to you. You missed it."
Arman was unhappy with those words, he argued.
"How can it be called sending it to me. I'm not the only one there."
"What do you know? Even after the increase in strength, you get after master's blessing, you are still inferior to the other man and he even got two items, it is your disgrace. Don't you dare point the finger at the master's decision."
Arman remained silent as he thought of a way to get the thunder prison from Sam.
