The next day, the Gods involved in the game were in a meeting.
"The next place of the Heritage Palace is changing. I opened the Palace in the Realm of the Living Corpses."
Hou Yi spoke in a calm tone.
"Why did it suddenly change?" One of the gods asked.
"Nothing, I just feel that way."
"You feel like it? More like you feel the price is pretty good." Kartikeya said with a cold snort. Hou Yi looked at him with a cold look.
"What do you want to try? Face the truth if you are man enough. No wonder your wife left you. You greedy bastard."
The entire area was suddenly filled with battle aura and killing intent. It clashed against each other as the entire world trembled.
Gamblers who are silent all the time tap the table with their fingers and both stop. He then looked at them with less interest and said.
"Pick it and decide what to do. Don't make a fuss. But remember Hou Yi. I may be a gambler, but any action you take under the influence of others will turn into gambling. Consider the odds before you do. So."
He spoke and remained silent for the rest of the time.
"I think it's too early to send them to the Undead Realm. They won't be able to hold on that long. There are no rules and no social orders such as reputation and honor to let those old dogs attack children. As long as they are good enough, they will be eaten and I'm sure the players are all good for them."
Hou Yi looked at the person who spoke and said.
“I thought about it. We will give the location of the Heritage Palace directly. And we also only opened one Heritage Palace.
In the Inheritance Palace, I will give them the charm to save themselves. His charm worked three times and they could survive..”.
Hou Yi continued to explain and even after he was done, not everyone was satisfied.
"What kind of game is interesting if we continue to protect the Players? Anyway, I agree with this proposal. Let's choose." Indra said it stopped the discussion and the vote began."
There were only two voices left where one of them chose neutral. So, only one vote was left and that was Gambler.
"I need to add terms."
"What's that?"
"Let our players bring some helpers to this heritage Palace. Each player can bring three additional people."
"What's the point of this?" ask Indra coldly.
"I want it to happen."
Gambler said unreasonably clearly showing that he did not care about their opinion and his condition passed without much resistance.
The next Inheritance Palace was decided to be held within the realm of the Undead.
Indra smiled sinisterly as she left the place.
Hou Yi stopped him and asked.
"Why are you so against a player?"
"Why do you care?" The answer is clearly upset. Hou Yi frowned and said.
"Indra, I'm not your subordinate, what you asked of me, put a bigger target on my back than you said, so I know better the reason."
Indra explained and Hou Yi clearly understood what the problem was.
It wasn't that Sam acted against him in the first inheritance Palace. That's just one reason. The main reason was Arman's current situation. They were gods and they had several ways to track down the Players and everyone used their own methods.
Arman is now Sam's henchman. Every time Sam was contacted by Ling Tian, Indra also contacted Arman, and every time he did that, Arman acted as if nothing had happened and he behaved like he was alone. But after that conversation, he will return to Sam and become his obedient henchman.
If not for the fact that there was a rule that Gods should not interfere and manipulate the players, he would have killed Sam a long time ago, or at least he would have helped Arman strengthen his mind. These players are a symbol of their pride, they will not be able to contact other players or keep an eye on them, but they can do it for their own players and Arman is always next to Sam like a dog.
But the worst part is that he can't do anything.
If he did something to Sam directly, Hou Yi believed that the Gambler would instantly beat him in his mansion and life in the Indra realm might become extinct.
Too much risk to get his pride back.
So, all he can do is manipulate the competition as much as he can and kill Sam according to the rules so that Arman can escape his influence.
Meanwhile, Sam does not know that God is trying to screw him up and he even draws other gods into his plans. He was currently creating an extra defense for the city.
Right after the attack, the night Sam had the dwarves begin construction. He began to build a large water ring around the city. Building is hard but digging is easy.
The water ring gets water from the river. Sam thought the river flow might be affected and it wasn't.
The flow of the river was the same as before no matter how much water he pulled into the city.
For the following week, construction continued and the next group of vampires finally came.
Sam wasn't waiting for them to attack this time. He leads the attack and captures six other vampires with ease.
He flooded them with his friends and beasts. They did not expect that once they entered around the city, they would be attacked.
Half of the Vampires they captured were from the Minotaur region and the other half were from the plundered city.
Sam interrogates the second half about what they're doing with the city. But the answer does not satisfy curiosity but only answers some of his speculation.
The only command they got from the team in the Minotaur region who acted as the commander of the entire operation was that they should hold the house of the city chief and let the Minotaur farm and take the rest of the city and fields. Only the mansion was in their hands.
Sam has no plans to go to the Minotaur region or any other city to find the Vampires. From what they said, the Vampires couldn't wait and if they didn't get any answers from this second wave, it was, the third wave will come in the next two days by any means necessary.
Because in a week's time, the Wights are coming and the Vampires don't have the friendliest relationship with the Wights.
Sam decides to ask about Wights and he gets some interesting information.
Wight is similar to Vampires in many ways, they can make undead servants like Vampires. But there was a difference to their servants.
Vampires can make their servants have feelings. Although those servants would lose the abilities they had when they were alive, they could still learn the suitable abilities of the vampire servants and think to some extent.
As for Wights, they had different results in making undead. They can retain the abilities of the person they turn into their servant but they will lose their feelings and cannot think and act largely due to instinct.
The only thing that was common in both of these cases was that they created slaves, besides that they could make normal undead from corpses.
They are natural astrologers.
There are other differences and similarities. The similarities include two species that feed on vitality.
Vampires are a strange species because they drink the blood of living things and take away their vitality. But if they were exposed to light or even water filled with vitality directly, they could not accept it.
Just like that, the Wights were also a strange species.
The Wights consume vitality in a different way and it's of flora. All plants are food.
But they also could not accept external vitality directly regarding them. The only difference they have from vampires, in this case, is that they are not affected by the light element as much as vampires, but rather they are more sensitive to the vitality of the wood element.
When Sam learned all the details, he thought hard. The water filled with vitality using the healing formation acted quite well against undead creatures and servants, but the mirror room was not a good thing against Wight.
He had no wood element, otherwise, it would have made things easier for him.
After some thought, Sam decided to face them head on. Relying on their weaknesses is just one way to do it. He had many ways as long as they were in the early stages of the Pre-transcendent realm.
At this moment, he was just waiting for the other Vampires to come. He already had twelve people and he only needed four more to complete his first set.
Compared to that, the minotaur set was only half filled. Sam was eager to fill the set. Once he did that, he could use it whenever a situation arose where the numbers mattered.
