THE REBIRTH OF A GENIUS. CREATOR/DESTROYER

THE REBIRTH OF A GENIUS. CREATOR/DESTROYER
Chapters 654. Entering the City

The trick worked. Minotaurs are good at open fields and direct clashes, but they are not good at hunting hidden prey. They can kill wild boars that run towards them. But they're not good at tracking down rabbits hidden in their holes.

Finding Sam and his two team-mates turned out to be the final case.

They had to nail the entire forest around him.

But if they do that, the Dwarves will destroy them.

After all, now that the battlefield had changed completely there was only a few tens of meters distance between the two troops and the Dwarves had a way to retreat and the Minotaur had no choice but to retreat.

They could only clash ignoring and Sam and his group for now.

They also realize that except for the Minotaur's strange behavior, water and lightning strikes don't actually strike them with any meaningful damage.

But their concession caused them to pay the price.

For the day, Dwarves and Minotaurs continued to clash and dwarves and some human archers stood on the wall as they provided protection.

The best help still came from Sam's team, they continued to deter the Minotaur troops with their attacks.

Sam's undead attack was truly ruthless. He collected about thirty bodies in Prana Village and he used them well.

A rotting flame turned out to be more useful than they thought. This way, even without directly participating in the battle, they created chaos in the Minotaur army.

The battle went on like that for two days.

Sam and his team were just sitting ducks in the woods as they watched. After their initial disturbance on the first day, they did not need to interfere on the second day. They handed the battle to the dwarves.

They were easily taken care of and by the end of the second day, Philip, Jack, and Watt were back with what they wanted.

Now the crisis for plants is also over. From what he had heard the current harvest in this city was still ongoing since the middle class corps needed a little more time to mature than the lower class ones. The time is not really much. Just a few days.

But it also delayed the harvesting process by a few days and they also had to focus on the war. So, harvest is slower than usual. The Minotaur's plan was to mix any of these solutions into water and damage the soil to temporarily damage the soil and render unharvested plants useless.

Then they will wait a few more days, to clear the soil as the water flows and the effect of the liquid will soon disappear. They will once again start farming. After all, the war was destined to drag on for months and even years. Their true benefit lies in a long-term plan. Losing some crops to get to the fields was acceptable to them.

But because, their plan is revealed, Sam and his group decide to take advantage. They want to enter the dwarf society and they can enter more easily if they can help them and this is the perfect opportunity.

So, the three went to intercept and get whatever liquid they wanted to use and also reduced some strength to the Minotaur.

Now that they were helping everything they could to turn things around, that was enough for now. If they were even more capable, the dwarves would not welcome and become suspicious. So it is better for them to reduce their involvement.

They waited for the dwarves to face their other enemies.

To their surprise, the dwarves actually conquered several minotaurs. They carried some shackles tied to the necks and limbs of minotaurs and connected chains as they dragged them around like they were dragging cattle.

It's something they didn't expect.

Once everything is done and they clear the battlefield and Sam comes out with his teammates.

The dwarf commander looked towards the team and greeted them.

"Thank you for your help. We really need that."

"It's okay. We can't handle them completely. We can only help a little. And this is the liquid they're going to mix. We ambushed the team that brought him here. They're actually not the ones guarding this because they think it's a strict secret."

Sam said and took out a large Barrel from storage.

The barrel has a lot of death energy. It was a Black liquid and devoured the vitality around it.

Generally, death energy can be negated with life energy and vitality. If there was enough vitality somewhere, the death energy would try to absorb it, and it would immediately become neutral.

With this liquid mixed in a flowing stream, the current harvest would be interrupted and after that, the soil would immediately return to normal.

The dwarves took the liquid for further investigation. Sam had already kept one barrel to himself, so he didn't mind.

"Please follow me. I'll take you to the head of town and we can talk there."

Sam nodded and followed them.

He was very refreshed by the atmosphere in the city. The townspeople all celebrated the success of the city in maintaining. He could also see the captured Minotaur and they seemed to be taken into the fields.

Sam and the team were curious about what they were going to do and the commander seemed to have seen it and said.

“Captured Minotaur will be used for agricultural purposes. They are good at carrying heavy items and their brute strength can be used to do difficult things like plowing, digging, and so on. After some time, we will sell them for ransom.from their tribe or sell them to some orcs in exchange for some animal skins, metals, and so on.

It's harvest time, we can use extra help from them."

"But right now, the war is going on. Is it really possible for you to exchange it for ransom?"

“Not really, but the Orcs are still considered a possibility. They like to eat Minotaurs, but hunting them down is impossible.

There are some mines and resources in the Orc region, so we exchange them for those resources if a ransom is really not possible. But from what I know this time exchanging ransom is impossible. The Minotaur tribe had too many fertility rates over the past few years and they had too many members.

They can barely eat by themselves. They couldn't possibly exchange it for resources. They might even feel relieved."

Sam nodded in understanding. He was more interested in the shackles in the Minotaur than the creature itself. But it's not good to ask for too much right now. He can learn slowly.

Soon, they reached the house of the city chief and met the person.

"It's nice to meet you. Thanks for your help."

"It's nice to meet you too. His help. You don't have to thank us. It's just a little help."

The city chief looked at the group and asked.

"You're strong for your age. From what you said you must be from one of the human tribes. I didn't expect the human tribe to increase this much."

"No, they don't. Our strength is due to circumstances. Humans are not good at silence and maintaining peace, there are too many conflicts between us. We were forced to grow strong to survive and we couldn't take it anymore and run away." Sam replied with a wry smile.

"You must be suffering. So, what do you want to do? You said that you wanted to integrate into the community, then what exactly do you want to do now."

"We want to open a store for now if possible and we will see how it goes. My friends will also try to find other jobs if you give us permission."

"Giving permission is fine. The main problem is price. Business capital and such."

"Not a problem at all. We have some resources that we have acquired on our journey. We have some rare metals. I think we can manage it."

Sam took some metal samples and put them on the table. They were some metals from his home planet and Dragon Loka. The Dwarves would not be related to these objects, so they could sell them at a reasonable price. At least exchange them for a place to stay and for a shop.

The head of the city looked at the metal for a moment and said.

"It seems you're ready enough. Then, my servants will take you to places that allow you to rent or buy places. You can make preparations and if there is a problem ask him. We can help you get a discount, but the war is a little more problematic so we have to tighten up our resources and the price may be more than usual. Please adjust a little."

"No problem, thanks for your help."

With that, an officer took the six of them away to see a possible place.
