THE REBIRTH OF A GENIUS. CREATOR/DESTROYER

THE REBIRTH OF A GENIUS. CREATOR/DESTROYER
Chapters 162. Threats I

Sam lands at Duke's Palace and the same officer takes him to the Courtroom.

All this time the clerk was nervous, because Sam was wearing all his professional badges. Today, he did not come here like a warrior or a future Sam who was a Late stage Beginner.

He was here as a rank 5 Artisan scholar, a rank 3 Pseudo weapon tailor and craftsman, a Formation master and a rank 2 inscription master, who is also a Late Stage Beginner at the age of sixteen.

Both of those statements were his identity, but those two identities were completely different worlds.

As Sam entered the courtroom, he saw the General standing in front of a middle-aged man sitting in the main seat.

The man seemed to have just entered his late thirties. But since he's nascent stage, appearances will be deceiving.

Sam walked towards the middle and stood in front of the Duke.

The first thing Duke noticed when he saw Sam was how young he was and the second thing was the badge pinned on the left side of the coat.

They are too charming to ignore. That much profession, that much title, and cultivating it when he was young. He was truly a rare piece and the Duke understood why the conflict was escalating.

A young man with such achievements must be proud. Why should he endure abuse from some parents?

Duke had a thin smile on his face that was pleasant to look at and a face that was very similar to Nicholas Carton, very bright and pleasant.

Duke and Sam chatted with each other and then the first one went straight to the point.

"Sam, I heard that you have a misunderstanding with our General here, may I know why you're ruining the entire military because of your conflict with an individual?" The Duke asked with the same smile.

His tone was not arrogant but there was still some firmness in it.

"Does Duke Carton know about the whole situation? Did General Spark decipher it from beginning to end?"

Sam asked instead of answering the previous question.

The duke was not angry instead he replied with the same smile.

"I've been told that the General and you have some differences and you paid him back at the expense of his soldiers and disciples. Let's put aside things about soldiers and battles.

He said that you even blocked his student from getting treatment, may I know why you are doing this?"

Sam chuckled as soon as he heard Duke's words. He looked at the General who dared not look him in the eyes because of his guilt.

Although the general wanted to bury the axe with Sam, he really did not want to lose all his dignity and pride. So he spoke by downplaying the whole situation and most of his words showed that Sam was exaggerating.

He only wanted the Duke to end the matter by forming a truce. He did not expect that he would ask all these things. Even then he hoped Sam would just obey and end his jokes, but judging from how Sam appeared with all his professional badges, clearly showing his status, the statement read, it was very unlikely that it would happen and the situation continued as it was.

Sam looked at the Duke seriously and said.

"Duke Carton's. I think calling the grudge between me and the General a few misunderstandings and a little difference would be very damaging."

"If you say so, I want to listen to the story from your side." Duke replied.

"Well, the General himself might not like it if I told him everything and who knows what would happen to me if I really said it. I still have to stay in the southern star city for a while, right?"

This time, the Duke clearly understood, how damaging the General was to the situation. Sam's words stink of sarcasm. His words clearly meant that the general could obviously do anything to Sam even if he complained to the Duke himself.

The Duke turned a little serious and looked at General Spark before speaking.

"General Spark. You are a senior to me because you served as a general under my father and because of the friendship of the two of you, he ignores many of your shortcomings and he even helps you when you are at your worst.

I respect his decision and yours because you are his friend, but that doesn't mean that you can fool me. I now demand that you explain the situation clearly without leaving a bit of information.

Otherwise, I might have to remind you that I am Duke Carton now and you are a subordinate working under me, in the most difficult way."

As he said those words, Duke Carton unleashed his aura from the Late Nascent stage, very close to its peak.

If his father and General were from the same generation, then he was from the same generation as the Blue Flame Marquis.

And currently, the blue fire Marquis was still at the late stage Grand realm while Duke was at the Nascent Late stage.

The general lowered his head in embarrassment and then looked at his students. All of them had completely disappointed expressions. This was the first time they had seen how despicable their teacher was.

Those expressions made the General himself feel disappointed in himself. He took a deep breath and looked at the Duke before spilling everything.

Everything from how Zeke attacked Sam, how the latter retaliated. How the general uses his authority and people to create trouble for Sam and his teammates. In fact, how did he involve the army.

When the Duke heard all this, he couldn't even stare at Sam. This is a great shame.

Everyone knew that this competition was very important, but the Duke trusted General Spark and gave him all the responsibility.

But the General broke all the rules he made himself and harassed a young boy who participated in the competition.

And that young man is not a normal candidate. Just based on his battle prowess, he might have been seeded by the people behind the scenes and now he knew that he was proficient in so many professions. It would be a miracle if they didn't ignore Sam.

So, the situation was more serious than he thought.

He believes in Spark too much. He shouldn't have done that just because of his seniority.

Look at the silent Duke, Sam said.

"Duke Carton, with all due respect, may I ask if you really care about your army. Your general is a ruthless psychopath who uses his authority only for his selfish motives.

Not only that, I heard that he even suppressed the actions of the Deputy General who was trying to improve the welfare of the soldiers.

Your regiment soldiers are full of trash and no one has a moral bottom line. Your regiment commanders are hypocrites who only fear the strong and bully the weak.

In fifteen days, my teammates and I suffered in the camp, while my remaining teammates suffered in the city. No one came to save me.

I only reply in the same way they did to me and I don't even break a single rule, unlike those who treat the rules like a pile of garbage and now I am being questioned here.

I've had a very good impression of you from your son Nicholas, but I may have to change my opinion.

If not for the fact that I am strong enough and I have some special identity, who knows what will happen to me. I will be killed in cold blood for all I know.

A grandson who thinks that everything should go his way and ambushes the wounded with twenty people and a grandfather who supports him by breaking every damn rule in the military and a Duke who didn't see it unless the grandfather himself admitted it. I really feel like a new world is opening up to me."

Hearing Sam's outburst, the general and Duke were completely embarrassed and the shame became anger.

Even if properly lectured by a brat is not something they can easily bear.

"Sam, you may be a victim here, but you must keep your word. It's not a good thing to be this disrespectful. You may not be able to bear the consequences."

These words did not come from the general or the duke, but rather a great magician who was the full-time commander of the Thunder wolf army was the one who said those words.

Sam just looked at her and said.

"Who are you to talk to me? Is this your place to talk here?"

The squad leader was angry. Even if Sam is great in Novice but he himself is a Great wizard in the middle stages, from where did Sam find the guts to talk to him like that?

The squad leader was so selfish that he forgot that Sam was fighting with his nascent teacher let alone a great magician.

"I am the leader of the thunder wolf squad. Conflict involved our squads as well. You immobilize the backbone of one of our soldiers and I can ask for an explanation from you."

"Thunder wolf squad? The leader? In my eyes, you are just a bunch of redundant soldiers and you are mainly the leader of this miserable life form.

An explanation? you guys better thank your lucky stars that I didn't start a massacre in your army. If I want it, even your teacher has no way to stop me and you have the guts to demand an explanation?

If you dare to say another word, I'll visit your troops again and believe me, this time no novice will be able to survive their entire life. They can only crawl with their hands."

Sam threatened directly. He didn't like to talk much, but there was a hidden agenda in this conversation he made.

In fact, Sam could have dealt with these people on the second day, but why did he wait for fifteen days patiently and deal with all the regiments there were several reasons.

Such as taking revenge on the General psychologically, making money quickly and the third and most important reason, the points he must get.

Who has so much time and patience to complete the tasks given by their instructors?

He waited fifteen days to see if there were any normal instructors, as they were all against him and after revenge no one would support him or mess with him. So, he had to find a quick way to earn those points.
