Chapters 577. Injuring Yourself

Sam felt conflicted in using this idea. He was sure that he was no match even if the King vs King battle happened.

He has to suffer a lot. Is it worth it? That's what's eating away at his mind.

After some thought, he gritted his teeth and hardened his heart. If that's what it takes to get a victory from the greatest commander, then so be it.

He moved his fortress to fight with the king. He stood on the edge of the stage and completed the fusion of light elements. Gold looks so magnificent. But Kartikeya still did not move. He wanted to see what Sam could do.

Sam suddenly moved, his body slowly starting to turn green. There was at least a very faint hue within the golden light. Any ordinary person would miss it.

Sam instantly turned into a beam of light as he dashed to Kartikeya. For a moment even he could not see clearly what was happening and dodged. But the ray of light did not pass through the stage and slid into the void.

It stopped at the edge and once again shot back with incredible speed.

But this time the green hue is brighter.

The scene repeated itself and the golden light turned green and the light rays changed faster and faster.

Just when Kartikeya thought he was getting the rhythm of movement and speed, both of them would change making him miss the target.

As he looked the golden light almost completely turned green and there was almost no golden color and now Sam's body did not even touch the ground.

He almost floated in the air.

This is the laser form. Sam had never used this before, because this was not finished and the second reason, it brought more harm than good. He could kill his opponent in many ways, although this way his success rate was high, he would destroy his own body. He looked at his own health bar and Sam could only sigh at the rate of decline he was suffering from.

Sam disappeared from his place leaving a green line behind as he slid into the heart of Kartikeya.

Kartikeya frowned and became wary. He felt like he was going to die when he became careless.

He wanted to use some defensive techniques but the time was not enough. He could only use his hands to block.

The arm guard on the arm had a hole in it and both arms were cut as deep as a bone. Kartikeya used everything he had to defend his arm with his spiritual energy but still received this much damage.

He fell back and endured the pain as he watched Sam's body deactivated from the elemental fusion and just lay on the floor. Sam spewed blood like a madman and looked at his opponent who stood up cautiously.

He reduced Kartikeya's HP by four bars. It's better than he expected and this time, the damage is more than just a health bar, he wants to see how Kartikeya will use his spear.

With a grin on his face, he lost his breath. She die.

Sam reappeared in his chair. His body was shivering and pounding. He was filled with cold sweat and was extremely oxygen-hungry as he gasped for breath.

The entire room was filled with his breathless breathing. Sam felt the most painful pain he had ever experienced in his life. This was the reason he thought, this was a bad idea. Kartikeya pityed Sam upon seeing his struggle. He has half a mind to stop the game here.

Kartikeya looked at the two and looked alert. He knew Sam was using the loopholes of the game to his advantage and using suicidal moves again and again. He did not want to be a victim of that.

As he thought, his energy started to surge and he decided to attack Raiju first. Since it was weaker, he could take care of it faster. But as soon as he turned around, Sam came from behind, he was expecting it.

He did not stop moving to Raiju and just as he was about to stab him, he turned around and thrust a spear at Sam who was behind him. For some reason, the energy ripples caused by Kartikeya could even stab a fully fused body, let alone a portion.

Sam showed no expression of pain, but a grin.

Then only Kartikeya realized that Sam's energy was different and wave-shaped.

He frowned and was about to retreat, but Raiju came from behind using all his energy to launch an attack.

Lightning struck as two deep wounds appeared on his back. He thinks that Sam's energy wave is a distraction and he's tricked.

He became a little angry and would use energy ripples that could destroy Sam. But before he could do so, he realized that he had been deceived once again. Raiju who was near them and lost almost all of his HP in the last attack came back and jumped.

Sam's elemental body fluctuated as the void force was used and all he did was forcefully move his body and his entire body exploded.

The lightning explosion caused a thunderstorm, it should have made at least half of Kartikeya's body explode with it, but he was smarter than that and as soon as Raiju jumped, he threw the spear along with Sam.

However he was not completely out of the range of the explosion and storm zone, which left him paralyzed.

He lay there on the floor even after the storm disappeared as he pondered to himself.

A young man had played him. His left hand was now bleeding more and his entire body was shaken with all of his achy muscles. He hadn't felt something like this in a long time.

He didn't expect Sam to be a suicide maniac. He came out and saw Sam, who had another bout of torment. After Sam calmed down, he did not move.

There are two more battles for Sam. One with a queen and the last with a king. Kartikeya is still ahead, but a total of seven health points are still missing, but Sam is still not confident.

"Should I scold you or praise you? I can't decide."

Sam just smiled as he wiped his sweat.

"Your surprise attack battle is really great. I didn't expect you to suffer the same torture twice. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't have been hurt. However, there is no point in making excuses.

But you know that there's no way this is gonna work anymore, right? None of your other elemental fusions have this much power to cause proper damage because they are not fast enough. And even if you use it, the situation will not be the same. I'm just hoping that you won't put yourself through that torment again. I'm not saying this because I want to avoid it, but just saying it with genuine concern. Torturing yourself like this will affect your mentality. So, be careful."
