Over the next few days, Sam and his friends spend time relaxing. Although, it was not a complete relaxation, but they did not contest it with other candidates for points.
Other candidates are vying for more points.
In the first week, Sam and his group took three missions, which linked to the city guards and gained a large number of points, adding about five thousand points to their account.
They feel that doing missions is actually an efficient way to earn points because the returns are decent.
In addition, Sam is also planning something else to get info on hidden cards.
For the first week, he let the shadow rat follow Sword Marshall, so that he could find out any information and his efforts were not entirely in vain.
There are six people assigned by Marshall, who is responsible for hiding the cards. This news was kept extremely secret and the six people were actually newborn stage cultivators (Nascent).
The shadow rats had to remain extremely low and thanks to their recent breakthrough to Level 4, and the increased mastery of elemental fusion, they were safer.
From what the rats collected, there was a fixed number of points divided among a fixed number of cards, and these cards would be hidden in the city, in fixed intervals.
Sam was quite surprised when he heard the number of points. Apparently, there was a board in a certain room, where these six people gathered and discussed which area, they would ventured that day to hide these cards.
The board even had the location of various hiding places.
But the mice had trouble remembering everything and Sam felt that it was not a viable method because there would be too many of these spots.
So, he let six shadow rats tail them all day and after each of them had hidden his cards, they would come to Sam and tell him about the place.
About all this though, Sam is satisfied with finding a place, he also feels something is wrong.
Marshall doesn't have to create rooms, discuss meetings and mention all the locations on the board. Information and cards can be given to six members directly and they can only do their work discreetly.
But it seems Marshall deliberately made this choice to give the candidates a chance.
He's openly giving way to find intel. After all, the six of them did not live in the place except for the meeting and if there was one person who could find the place, they could hit the jackpot.
It took a week for the shadow rats to accurately link their involvement through following Marshall because, Marshall is in the cultivation stage beyond the Nascent stage and they can sense the presence of shadow rats even though they cannot see him.
So, Sam repeatedly instructed them not to get too close which made them take time.
But for the six people at the Nascent stage, it was a shadowy mouse playing field and they confirmed their routine after two days of following.
Now, Sam can earn points without having to fight with the other candidates. But the hiding place wasn't without problems.
Some of them were kept in the private rooms of the rich. Some of them were placed in the hands of the city guard station chief.
So, the effort is not to be laughed at. But at the very least, they did not have to worry about not getting cards and points.
In addition, Sam notices that the three people he had locked up in the basement were left behind by his teammates, at least temporarily. No one came to save them.
Now that the way they collect points has been discussed, Sam is also involved in several other things and one of them is his research on the light element.
He's been trying this for a long time. He tried to separate the various rays from normal light, so that he could use various light elements for his personal use. Even if he could not yet use it for attacking purposes, he could at least use it to track, detect, and other supporting tasks.
After working for days, he was finally able to diversify the light rays into all the colors of the visible spectrum by adjusting the wavelength. But it does not change wavelengths above or beyond the visible spectrum.
He uses his light elements to access the electromagnetic spectrum and if he can control the wavelengths correctly, it can have very large radio waves as tall as a building and very small waves with very small wavelengths like X rays that can help it see through and gamma rays, which can be used to make lasers with decent damage.
Although gamma rays are electromagnetic radiation from the decay of electromagnetic radiation they are inherently part of the spectrum and the most obvious difference is the wavelength.
So, Sam tries to convert ordinary light into radio-active light.
In his previous life, he was part of the team that made gamma lasers and was one of the main people at the time. It is safe to say that if he is not present, the laser will not be completed at that time.
And ironically, lasers are not created by a group of scientists funded by the government, but rather created by the dark side of society. Notably, the organization where Sam was until he was eighteen.
He still remembers their experimental process of obtaining sufficient concentrations of resonant excited nuclear states for collectively stimulated emission to occur at the widening of gamma ray spectral lines.
To put it simply, he recalled every experiment they had done to convert gamma rays into laser forms.
Sam couldn't help but feel nostalgic.
As he practiced, he thought of this usefulness and finally his mind stopped on his past life.
He stopped training for some time and went to the tower. He suddenly wanted to play the flute.
In his past life, if academia and creation were a respite from killing and fighting if he was still emotionally burdened afterwards, he said, music is the only thing that saves her soul from losing her mind and balance.
He suddenly had the urge to play a flute that he did not have, so he went to the tower to make it.
But this one will take time, he spends all day in the tower and at night he comes back with his flute. It just has a few finishing touches to make.
The flute is made from an alloy of Gray meteorite sand and Silver meteorite sand for its exterior and intricate internal structure with Silver sand only.
He was testing the flute and they made improvements according to the tone he wanted. It's late and the remaining people are back.
He gave Watt a large amount of spirit stones to relax and splurge on the city. On one hand, even the examination in the imperial capital was truly the toughest, this was also a phase where he had plenty of free time.
Watt has been busy investigating, fighting, and training since the Falcon Cliff city. Now, since he has plenty of time, he asks Watt to do only one thing. Be a young master once.
They all had dinner together, but this time someone came to visit and Sam.
A young man, who was wearing elegant and expensive clothes. One look and Sam can say that it was made by a tailor and there was a badge indicating that the man was a rank-4 Pseudo Weapon craftsman.
But what caught Sam's attention the most was the face. He saw this person in the first team of the imperial capital, right behind the Prince. Second rank of the Imperial capital.
The man entered, and without further ado sat down before speaking.
"You must be Sam."
Sam did not speak, he just looked at the man with the same calm and indifferent attitude.
"I'm Patrick, the son of the head of the Imperial Capital's Craftsmen's Tower. I'm here to discuss a deal with you."
Sam still did not answer.
"I heard that the plan for the Garden, currently you have it with your name. So, I want to buy it."
He paused and took out a spatial ring and placed it on the table.
"Here, there are fifty million in this ring, I want all the formations, inscriptions you use."
Sam looked at the ring and looked at the man.
"You better go now. You may be under regulatory protection, but your men aren't."
This was the only time, Philip and the others showed a reaction. They did not sense anyone coming to this place, as every other person surrounding the place was outside the sensory zone of a normal Great Witch at the initial stage, but Sam can sense it because his mental strength is too high for his current level.
Patrick now lost his cold and arrogant demeanor.
Just as he was about to reply, Sam raised his hand and waved it. The tip of the arm was condensed with water and the water was shot out like a bullet by a very thick air. It went through the window and towards the courtyard wall. It smashed through the wall and crashed into someone standing behind it several meters away.
The man lay unconscious.
"Other times, it'll be life."
Patrick immediately became alert, and walked out.
"We should have taken the card."
Philip said from the side.
"Why bother now? Let him collect a few more points for us."
Don't forget to like and comment guys... If you want to send a gift I will not refuse koq hehe...
