THE REBIRTH OF A GENIUS. CREATOR/DESTROYER
Chapter 40. Protection Charges

As soon as Sam's words were finished, someone walked out of a room slowly. He was a tall young man who seemed to be eighteen to nineteen years old. His appearance was quite average and he would only blend in with the crowd. The only important thing about this person is a nose that is completely raised. If possible, he might want to touch the sky with her. He was arrogant to the bone.

He came in front of Sam and sat down on the chair opposite him without further ado and made himself comfortable. The young man sized him up and said arrogantly.

"You must be Sam. You are like the rumors mentioned. You really are a bad boy who doesn't know manners. Don't you know how to respect the seniors in the academy?" He said puffing his chest to make sure Sam could clearly see the three stars in the uniform. But what he gets is Sam's calm, emotionless look.

"By the way, I heard that you are a Craftsman, an Inscription master, and an adept Formation master. I'd like you to make me some Inscriptions. I want them to be attack type, defensive type. Don't give me junk. Because, you are an Acolyte warrior magician with fire attributes, you must make fire-type inscriptions and I want at least fifty of each. I also want a rank 2 spear. I am a fighter, so I will use it. So make sure I do your job right. Make some writing on it too."

Albert didn't even bother to look at Sam and say whatever he wanted. Sam didn't stop it either. He's just coming. Albert continued.

"I'll give you a week." He said and then turned to leave.

"Wait." Sam said as Albert stopped in his tracks.

"What, you mind? This is the protection fee I collected to keep you at the Academy. After all, you don't want a novice mage to sneak up on you when you're in your accommodation or a novice warrior.try to kill you in your mansion, right? Better think about it." Albert threatened with a smile.

"Who are you really?" Sam asked with a cold glint in his eyes.

"What's? Do you really want to press with your status? I'm Albert. I am the son of the head of the Pharmaceutical Tower. You can show off your status to anyone. But you have to keep your tail between your legs in front of the Pharmaceutical Tower. After all, it's not good, if no healer comes to help you in the city when you're hurt?" He said with a mocking smile as he left the mansion. He didn't even think Sam would turn him down.

Sam looked at his back who was leaving in an indifferent manner. He looked at Albert as if he was a brainless fool. He understands one thing. Albert is a frog in a well. In his eyes, Starwood city was the only world he knew. After all, if he could think with common sense, he could understand that threatening Sam with his father's status as the head of the Pharmaceutical tower was quite foolish. Sam suddenly heard someone coming and saw two panthers pouncing on him.

There were two children he took. He rubbed their heads as they curled up to him as if Sam's embrace was the only safe place in the world. Currently, they were already at the peak of Level 1. Sam did not know why, but this panther grew very well under his care.

"Say, little ones, do I really look like a Vegetarian?" Sam asked as he stroked their manes with each hand. Panther also looked at him with a puzzled expression.

"That's it. I have to really think of a way to make sure this guy knows I'm a non-vegetarian. After all, I still ate the eagle for breakfast. He said as he walked into the room together with the panther. Then he disappeared and reappeared inside the tower.

Sam slowly walked past the shelf while observing. Then he stopped at the named rank, 'Use of Light elements'. He looked through the various shelves on the shelves. There are all kinds of additional uses of the light elements listed there. Such as 'long exposure' 'short term lighting' 'Night vision' etc. He finally stopped at a named blob. 'How does the light element work in healing?' He paused and picked up the lump in his hand as he began to absorb the knowledge slowly.

Actually, Sam did not want to be a healer. He wanted to study this field after he left Starwood city. But now he's changed his mind.

Sam underwent healing procedures and spells carefully. In fact, the healing spells were quite simple and they were very few in number. They are diagnosis, basic healing for wounds, Blood Purification and toxins, Advanced healing used for high-level wounds when meat is torn and finally regrowth which regrows the lost organs. But regrowth is almost gone in the world and only a few high-level healers can be counted on with one hand who can do it.

Healing spells were not considered like attack spells that were classified using strength levels. But healing spells are classified by level of control. The only requirement to cure the spell was that the magician must have the light attribute and then he must have incredible control and the other condition was adequate spiritual energy. The more spiritual energy a healer has the higher the injury rate and the higher the cultivator level he can heal. From this information Sam learned that the rank of healer is somewhat different compared to other professions. Healers would be ranked on how high a level cultivator they could heal. That meant, if a healer who was at the Acolyte stage could heal a cultivator at the Beginner stage for an advanced injury, he would be ranked as a rank 2 healer.

Sam read the information and began to observe how the spell worked. He observed and analyzed each spell one by one. After a while, Sam sees similarities in all the spells. Spells all rely on the control of spiritual energy and encourage mitotic division by exciting the vitality of cells already present in the body. Basically the human body is made up of so many cells formed by mitotic division that starts from one cell and will stop after reaching a certain stage and will only occur in small amounts as in healing of minor wounds on the skin. . But this mitotic division will stop making new organs or limbs because it becomes stable. The energy of the light element that is full of vitality will make the cells escape from the passive stage and increase the rate of healing.

Sam opened his eyes and went to the second floor and started training in the simulated environment. He continued to exercise his control over his elemental energy as he stood in one place motionless.

Time passed slowly and he continued to practice and soon fifteen days passed inside the tower and only one and a half days passed outside the tower. Sam finally came out of the tower with a satisfied expression and slept on his bed quietly.

As Sam got off and thought about what to do to earn more money this time as he ate together with the panther, he saw another group of uninvited guests. But this time he could not help feeling a little serious. He saw two middle-aged men walking towards his house through the window. They were the head of the Artisan tower and the head of the Crimson fire family. When they entered the mansion, Sam did not say anything and looked at the two men with cold gazes.

"Mr Sam, there's something I'd like to discuss with you. But the head of the red fire family family also had something important. If you could just take a little time." The head of the Artisan tower spoke in a soft tone. But Sam did not say anything and merely gestured for them to sit down.

As soon as he sat down, the head of the Crimson fire family spoke. Sam, I know that you and our family have differences. It was my fault to send people after you because of my greed and it was Carl's fault to chase your life in the test. I know it's not easy to forgive us, but I still hope you can be generous this time. If you want to punish anyone, you can punish me. Please, leave my family on the way out." He did not beat around the bush and apologized directly. His voice was so dull and lost all his energy. He's really sincere. Sam just smiled coldly and said.

"Master, did you make a mistake? How could a low-level weak cultivator be able to accept your apology?" Although his words were humble, they were filled with ridicule. The head of the family did not know what to say?

"If you really want to show your sincerity, I've got a request. I will be auctioning off some items in the next monthly auction in the Evergreen family. I hope the head of the family can patronize me." Sam said after thinking. He tried to use this opportunity to make money. Although he could squeeze from it, he did not really want to do that and bowed so low. This way, he could at least give Freya a face. He could not leave the Crimson Fire family alone after what they did. But he couldn't directly exterminate the family because of Freya. Although their relationship was not deep, she really did not want to leave the first friends she made in this life in a sour tone.

The head of the red fire family was overjoyed after he heard the news. He really did not think the matter could be solved with money. After all, he was prepared for a worst-case scenario where Sam would not forgive him at all. He stood up and thanked Sam before leaving with a sigh of relief.

Sam then looked at the head of the Artisan tower.

"Sam, it's just that there's an important problem. That's why I came to disturb you. Otherwise, I wouldn't dare to bother you." The tower chief hurriedly explained. Sam just looked at him calmly and said.

"Just finish it."

"Yes. There's a notice from the Artisan tower of the Count city. Usually, when there is a genius Artisan, the tower Artisan tops will directly visit him to give awards and offers to move to a better environment. The craftsmen of the tower district town also wanted to send someone. So, I'm here to confirm your schedule." The tower's head explained its purpose.

Sam pondered for a moment and said. "I'll be going to the Count's town in a few days. I will visit the tower myself. They don't have to come here."

The head of the tower spoke nothing and simply nodded. He obviously knew about the tournament and already thought that Sam might have made it into the team.

"Then I'll go." He said goodbye and just as he was about to make a move, Sam stopped him.

"Wait."

"Sir Sam, how can I help you?" He asked with a little hope. He really wants to improve their relationship.

"Do you know the head of the tower of Pharmacy and his son Albert?" Sam asked in a relaxed tone.

At Albert's mention, the head of the Tower immediately understood. "Sir, did that Albert boy find trouble with you?"

"I want you to arrange a meeting with him for me. Better, if it was a surprise visit at the tower itself" Sam said avoiding the question.

The tower chief thought for a moment and nodded. "I'll see what I can do. I'll send you the details tomorrow." He said and said goodbye.

Sam then sent him away and took out a lot of materials, he bought them two days earlier and said to himself. "Now, it's time to make preparations for the auction."
