The exchange of words ended between them with Sam's reply.
He stood on top of his vulture and with his companions flew without waiting for them. He did not fly towards the city, but rather towards the forest to the clouds.
Neither Vickers nor Arc stopped him. Because Vickers didn't stop him because he didn't think that Sam would be a variable in the upcoming battle.
As for Arc, he had another reason for that.
Arc looked at Vickers and said.
"Today, you can finally go home. You don't have to guard this place anymore, regardless of whatever the outcome of the battle is."
"That's right. So, how do you want to do this?"
"Whether it's an all-out fight or a duel, I don't mind. I prefer to choose the latter. To be honest I'm tired of this bloodshed."
Before Vickers could answer, there was a commotion at the entrance and all the remaining experts who were the last line of defense came out. Following behind them, Emperor Orion came walking over with a grim look.
"This is going to be an all-out battle. The people of Orion are not cowards. We'll take you to the last man."
The Orion Emperor shouted with all his might.
"Since when do you know what your people Oscar think?" Arc asked with a smile.
Oscar who was the emperor of Orion gnashed his teeth as he looked towards Arc and then turned towards Vickers.
"Have you finished remembering? Or are you cold after seeing your old friend again? Don't you dare retract your words? Otherwise, the old man would have lost a lot of face in the thunder god temple."
Suddenly, Vickers' gaze turned cold and he looked at Oscar. His body exuded an enormous intent to kill.
"Come again." Oscar suddenly lost his composure and looked down; he did not even dare to look Vickers in the eye. He knew he was crossing the line.
"I'm sorry." His voice trembled as dark memories came to him.
He had revisited his memories after so many years. Because of his haughty and luxurious life, he almost forgot who Vickers really was and now he's running from his mouth.
Three Transcendent people were standing there in a triangle and the war had already begun.
The border of the Imperial capital. Nascent stage cultivators were the main fighters and cultivators of the Beginner stage, great natural cultivators and Grand realms were just sitting ducks.
There were some small battles, here and there but most of them saw battles and Sam was no exception.
He was in the sky with his friends and he was holding a telescope in his hand.
He was observing the battle and one battle that was of interest to him was a battle between two groups of newborn stage cultivators.
One of them was someone he knew very well. The Six Swords of Marshall.
And why is it that only this fight interests me, when Marshall fights? Because he was unable to catch their fighting movements with movements. At most he could see their figures and some large movements.
The nascent stage fights were the limit.
The Six Swords of Marshall. These six people truly deserved their reputation. Sam watched as they fought with the eight newborn stage cultivators of the Arian kingdom.
Each uses a different word. Rapier, long sword, a pair of short swords, one-edged sword, double-edged sword, and flexible sword.
These six people were very synchronous and their eight opponents had a hard time dealing with them.
But apart from that, the rest of the fight mostly tended towards the Arian kingdom and even included Marshall.
Marshall's sword and Marshall's sword fight the two Marshalls of the Arian kingdom and they are repeatedly pushed back.
Moreover, the dukes, their Generals all fought and became too powerful that the wall on one side completely collapsed.
Sam had trouble observing the entire battle.
Meanwhile, the three main characters of the war. Arc, Oscar, and Vickers.
"Should we take him somewhere else? I don't want anyone else to suffer."
Arc was the one who asked this question and soon the three of them disappeared.
They arrived at a nearby forest where there was an empty spot.
"Where is that little coward? I want to kill him with my own hands after I'm done dealing with you."
Oscar asked as soon as they came here.
Vickers and Arc looked at him with disdain at the same time. Even though he was angry behind the meaning of their appearance, he still gritted his teeth and said.
"Oh, why are you so sure about that? Oscars." Arc suddenly lifted his aura. Blue lightning crackled around him as the air around him became suffocating.
"You.. Did you break through the Middle Stage? When?" Oscar asked when his throat was dry.
At this moment, Vickers also released his aura and an aura of the same level erupted. But this one was a bright light that showed neutral spiritual energy.
"Vickers the Warrior mage, Neutral energy. Ready for Duel 350." Vickers said as he moved his hand, and spiritual energy drew a line in the air.
"Arc the Warrior mage, Lightning element energy. Ready for Duel 350."
That's right, both of them had over three hundred duels up until now and the fact that Vickers was a Warrior magician with neutral energy was also true.
Vickers raised his hand and made the first move. A streak of spiritual energy exploded through his palm as it headed straight for Arc's eyes.
But then not flinching, lightning appeared right in front of the beam that completely blocked it.
Oscar opened his mouth wide. He had no idea that his friends became this strong as he enjoyed a wasted life.
He was only an early stage Transcendent. They entered the middle stage. The difference might not be much, but at the later stages of cultivation, even a small gap was extremely difficult to cross.
That was why, if one could fight people outside of his cultivation level at a later stage, they would be respected and could be treated as extreme elites.
So, he was astonished and this was the first time he had seen Vickers using a beam. He only thought that Vickers was a warrior, but little did he know that he was a warrior magician and that it was also a warrior magician of a unique kind.
A Neutral energy warrior magician. This was actually the first time he had seen her, but that did not mean he had never heard of her. He heard it at the thunder god temple lecture.
That's right, the thunder god temple. The three of them were disciples of the thunder god temple in the same generation.
As for Vickers abilities, there is a lecture on the basics of the spiritual core and things and the teacher says that although, unseen, theoretically, it is possible for a magician to have no neutral energy.
He didn't expect that he would see it.
Meanwhile, the battle has already begun. Vickers was on the aggressive side and suddenly, spiritual energy condensed into a huge axe and he swung it straight into the Arc.
Arc blocked the attack with his hands and both of them started the battle.
Oscar himself had trouble catching up.
Vickers changed the shape of the weapons one by one between him starting to use the beams. Arc is on the passive side. He didn't even move out of his place.
His legs did not even budge, he simply moved his hands and he managed to block every attack, and all this time there was a smile on his face.
He doesn't look disturbed at all.
"Indeed as I expected. I didn't expect you to be this strong. Have you always been like this?"
Vickers asked as he stopped attacking.
"No. But I went through some serious training over the last decade. Now, it's my turn."
This time, the situation is reversed. Vickers who had been aggressive began to passively.
He started to make a shield left and right. Everything was destroyed the moment they were struck by lightning.
The battle became too intense and Vickers began to sweat too much.
He's having a hard time. He did not expect that he would be in this condition.
At this moment, a huge lightning strike suddenly struck the back of the Arc.
And both of them suddenly stopped. They turned around to see Oscar standing there with his hands outstretched with a butt-butt attack.
"It looks like you've forgotten the Arc, this is a war between two kingdoms, not your personal duel." He said with a cynical tone.
The three of them felt that this scene was very familiar. But it's just a slightly different situation.
Arc did receive some damage directly, as it was a sneak attack, but he did not say anything.
While Vickers was in a daze, Arc grinned when he saw Oscar and suddenly jumped towards Oscar and slammed him to the ground.
Arc held Oscar's neck, pressed him to the ground and said.
"I should have killed you that day myself, but your fate was too good and I was too tired at that moment, I would have wanted to kill you today as well, but your head was created by someone else." He said these words, with his face so close to Oscar that Oscar couldn't even see the sky.
Suddenly, he stood up and retreated. At that moment, Oscar saw something fall from the sky and it left him with no time to react.
