Chapter 682. The Road In The Clouds
Sam and the others entered one door that was in the hall.
They walked on a dark path and when they could see once more, all they could see was the entire group apart and they stood on a circular stage one by one.
Sam looked around and all he could see was the clouds.
There was not much he could see even with his eye techniques.
All he could see were white clouds floating around him.
Not just Sam, everyone is in the same position. They were all standing on their respective large platforms and could only see the clouds around them.
At this moment, a male voice suddenly sounded from nothingness.
"Welcome to the players.
This time, the Inheritance Palace was a little different. I don't want to go through the tournament procedure and think of different ways to test you guys.
Instead, you will all go through the same exam.
You have to go through six tests and the last test will be held between people who successfully passed six tests.
The rest of you will be eliminated.

As soon as the sound was gone, the clouds disappeared on one side and Sam could see a wide path ahead.
He could not see far away and even his eye technique proved to be useless in the scenario. He took a deep breath and let out an omen to clear this path.
Since speed was also a factor, there was no reason for him to hold back at all. In the general case, he would refrain from using his special gadget which could make him quite strong among his friends. But today, he came here to teach Hou Yi a lesson. He can't take any chances.
As he slid through the route a few seconds later, Sam suddenly turned right as he sensed danger.
He looked at the road and noticed that four arrows were lodged in the road and they slowly disappeared.
Sam frowned seeing this. He thought that the only danger lay at the checkpoint, but it seemed like his own path was also dangerous.
But Sam did not feel worried, not even he slowed down in the slightest, he increased the speed to the maximum limit as the wind blew fiercely around him. Tailwind became extremely compact and created a shield around him as he activated his energy vision.
He looked ahead without caring about the world.

Sam could see the platform in front of him once more and stopped at the platform and put away the omen.
Meanwhile, in that dimension, a young and dynamic looking man with eagle-like eyes and long hair was sitting on a huge island floating in the clouds. This island has nothing. It was just a piece of floating flat stone.
There were several screens floating around him and he felt a little sad when he saw the four screens that seized most of his attention.
Not only Sam, even his three friends use a hoverboard.
In fact, the path was meant to stop them for several hours to mentally test them before reaching the checkpoint. But because of these hoverboards, the road becomes wasted.

He felt something was wrong.
He landed on the platform and picked up the heavenly wine to recover instantly.
As he waited for a few minutes, he wondered when the test would begin and he disappeared from the place.
He appeared in a dark room.
Sam could not see for a second and not even his other senses worked. His sight returned along with the other senses gradually after a few seconds and Sam found himself seeing his own reflection.
Actually, it's not a single image.
He can see a lot of pictures.
He looked around unable to help but shake his head.
His spiritual senses and energy visions did not pass through the mirror.
As he thought about what would happen, the same man's voice entered his ears.
"I thought it would take some time to activate the first checkpoint. There always seems to be an exception.
Your first test is to beat the archer. An archer is hidden behind a mirror wall or from his point of view, You are trapped inside the mirror wall.
He'll aim to kill you. If you manage to kill that person back, then you win.

With that, the voice once again disappeared.
Sam just stood there looking around. And suddenly, he could see an arrow coming towards him through the mirror. He turned around ready to hold on, but to his surprise once he turned around, all he could see was the same mirror image of the arrow.
Before he knew it, he was hit from behind.
Sam groaned in pain. Even though his fur coat managed to stop its penetration, it still could not dissipate its strength.
Soon another arrow shot towards him. Sam tried his best to avoid them. But he can't do anything. He narrowly avoided three to four shots but took ten to twelve.
Another arrow image appeared but no matter which direction he looked, it seemed like it was coming from that direction.
He looked at the four sides and the same image was displayed from different angles.
He could not find the way the arrow came towards him. Sam activated his energy vision as he looked in the mirror, but to his surprise, even his energy vision was fooled. Maybe the level is not high enough.
Sam could feel the energy of the arrows from all sides.
He decided to defend from all sides. He summoned his four shadows and made them stand on his four sides as he stood in the middle. He could not accept more physical damage, it would make it difficult to endure for a long time and hinder his thinking.
He left an arrow into the shadows and he started attacking the mirror wall. But there was no reaction. He attacked with all the elements, but there was nothing he could do.

Sam's getting pissed.
He stood in the middle of the area and looked around as the shadows did their work. His face was cold.
Shadows are really useful, because of their small intelligence, they can block complicated attacks on their own without Sam doing anything.
Sam closed his eyes as he spread his spiritual energy everywhere and even reached the mirror wall and spread between them as he used his observation ability.
At the very least, he was happy that his mirror and floor were connected so that he could use his abilities. But because of the distance, he had to try more than usual.
But he noticed something.
And as soon as he did that, he found two ways to destroy this.
One of them was easy for one of the players and even his friends, they would be able to figure it out after receiving a few punches and expending more than half of their energy.
The second thing was something that only he could do and it would be in harmony with his plan to upset Hou Yi.
