Chapter 67. 4 vs. 14

Sam and his group turned to look towards where the clap was coming from and they froze in their movements at the scene. There was a group of people walking towards them with two people in front.

Two of them had guns in their hands. The group looked haggard and spent some time. But there was light in their eyes as if they had just been energized.

When they were several meters away, the group stopped. There were 14 people in the group. It seems that two teams are combined.

"See that's Drew. Here we have difficulty for two days without warmth and suffering in the cold, eating wild vegetables and fruits, while these people even use fire to kill prey."

"Yes, Ray. They even have two guns. We had to sacrifice six members and work together with both of our teams to obtain both of these weapons. Here they are only four members and they are able to do this. They cheat."

"I don't know about that. But these guys seem to be the rest of team six members, we just took care of them before. The remaining four members must be these four people."

The two people in the lead named, Ray and Drew spoke as if Sam and the others were absent.

Sam looked around and found three middle-aged men in black. Two of them stood side by side while another one who was also a familiar person with Sam stood opposite them.

Sam still felt his arm hurt a little and was still exhausted from fighting against the crocodiles. Jack was the only one with experience fighting in close combat, while Eve and Shor did little to help in this kind of situation. This situation is clearly harming them.

Sam gives Eve a dagger, then asks Shor. "Do you want an axe or are you okay with a spear?"

Shor dazed for a moment and looked at the axe in Sam's hand. He thought for a moment before rejecting the axe. He knew clearly that an axe or spear would not make a difference.

Sam nodded and stood beside Jack and looked towards the group and mostly at the two people leading. He recognized the two men. They are a team member of the Falcon Cliff team and currently they are part of team 1 and team 2.

Despite being at a disadvantage, he did not show any weakness, because he knew it would make the opponent's confidence even higher.

"Who is responsible for creating fire?" Ray with the sword in his hand asked them.

The four of them did not answer and just remained silent.

"We will leave the person who can make fire and only handle the rest. You can also have priority points." Drew said as he played with the sword in his hand. He was confident that the other party would agree immediately. But what awaited him was silence.

"Back them" Drew orders as everyone immediately encircles the four groups. Now, Sam's group had flowed behind them while they were surrounded on all other sides.

Meanwhile, the elders were talking. The two elders who were together smiled at the situation while the elder in charge of Sam's team only looked at the team peacefully. [A/N: For the sake of convenience, I will refer to the Elder in charge of the points recorded as Elder-1 Elder-2 Elder-3 and so on. So, the Elder in charge of Sam's team is Elder6 and the Elder of the opposite group is Elder 1 and Elder 2]

"How's Elder 6? You must be frustrated watching these people. How did they get both guns?" Elder-2 asked.

"Yes, they were stupid enough to separate themselves from the group. Compared to them, groups 1 and 2 were better. They knew that more and more people would have more chances to survive." elder 1 said from the side.

Elder-6 said nothing. He knew that the two Elders were just trying to console him. Even when they saw how Sam dealt with crocodiles alone, they still made this comment just because they were confident that team-6 would be knocked out.

Meanwhile, Ray and Drew still threaten Sam and the others to find out how they got the fire. They were sick of eating fruits and they did not dare to eat raw meat.

After a while, Sam is fed up with this and whispers to Jack.

"How many people can you handle?"

"I don't know. I can take down four people by catching their negligence. The rest will depend on the situation." Jack also replied in a whisper.

"Can you hold them off for five minutes?" ask Sam again.

"I'll try." Jack replied after a short pause. Sam hesitated for a moment and said to the three in a whisper.

"I'll make the first move. You guys have to hold on for five minutes. If you think that you can't maintain the deadlock or knock them down, try pushing them into the water."

Ray and Drew did not think too much about the situation and did not stop them from whispering. They just thought that they were discussing about the person who made the fire.

Sam and the others stopped the whisper and turned towards Ray and Drew in front of them. They exchanged looks and nodded. Ray and Drew smile when they think that everything is going as they expected. But suddenly, Sam and Jack move in tandem.

Sam moves to the right while Jack moves to the left. Sam's left hand was still hurting and he swung his axe with his right hand while hitting one of the ribs of the person standing nearby. His punch was extremely violent as blood spurted from the person's body.

Before anyone else could react, he hit another man and then another man. By the time the team could come out of a daze, the three members had already fallen. Sam's almost out of stamina. There were only two people left by his side. Before they could react, he immediately jumped into the water.

On the other hand, Jack does number on them as well. Of the five standing there, he dropped three completely and the fourth could barely stand, while the fifth escaped.

His bamboo sword had a red line at one end. He then curled up with Eve and Shor as he pointed the sword at Ray and Drew.

Ray and Drew finally come to their senses and pull out their weapons, pointing at Jack. They're grumpy. They just lost seven members. They only lost six members when they faced the ferocious beasts and obtained the sword. But now to take down four members they lost seven members while the other party did not lose anyone.

"Geev, Shor. Stay calm and try to avoid as much as possible. Every time they approach you two feet away, swing the gun. Don't let them get closer than two feet." Jack whispering. The two nodded and took a position with daggers and spears to defend.

"Drew, you beat the guy in front. The rest will attack the two people behind. I'll be a backup." Ray said in a serious tone. He was really angry and he did not dare to underestimate the other team.

As the men begin to approach them, Jack along with the other two begin to walk towards the riverbank. Just as they were one step away from the river, Jack moved and pushed the two members into the river by letting them off guard.

This made Drew grit his teeth in anger. He was angry not because the two members were pushed into the river, but Jack ignored him.

Jack sighed as he turned back to face Drew. Now, Eve and Shor only have to deal with the three members and she is confident they can survive for a while.

"Now, we can start." Jack said while making his gaze. He and Drew are now in a dodge game as they swing guns at each other.

Ray is currently, looking into the river, he is already surprised that Sam is not coming out. But he thought that the other party might have escaped. But now that the two people were not coming out, he felt that something was wrong. As he thought about what might happen, he saw the air bubbles on the surface rise and before long, the two teammates floated unconscious.

He clearly understood what was happening now. Sam's hiding underwater. This scene not only shocked him, but also his remaining teammates. They were now afraid of approaching the riverbank.

Meanwhile, under water. Sam was swimming with a small bamboo straw in his hand. This was the reason he dived into the water without thinking. Every time he was out of breath, he kept a bamboo straw in his mouth and took a breath as he swam and searched at the same time. He's looking for a scroll or a weapon here. But he mostly hoped that he would have a cultivation-related scroll or attack scroll, because the danger was high with crocodiles.

Shor and Eve hit a dead end with the three while Jack deals with Drew. He had a slight weakness due to his vulnerable weapon, but it was mainly because he did not want to kill his opponent. He tried to gain some experience by fighting the swordsman. But only parents can understand this.

He's just trying to play with Drew while he's still watching Ray. If the latter made any moves or he himself was exhausted, he would drop Drew as soon as possible.

But things didn't go as he planned. Ray did move, but he attacked, Eve and Shor. When he realized this, he immediately tried to block it by leaving Drew but the latter followed him.

Now, he was hit in a dead end with two people, both of whom had better weapons than him and both were in better condition than him. He immediately felt pressure.

He closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. His aura changed and became sharp immediately. He swung the bamboo sword towards Drew, who was relatively tired when compared to Ray.

The latter immediately dodged but his robe was still torn as the sound of slashing came. Ray attacks from the side, but Jack is not in the same place anymore. Before he could realize that, a bamboo sword came from behind him which he tried to avoid, but was left with a slash in his left hand.

Jack stood there while looking at his two opponents calmly. He's very tired now. Walking constantly, hunting rabbits, trapping crocodiles and dealing with people, eating their victims. The last two swings almost consumed all of his energy. He was on his last legs.

He regretted not dealing with Drew when he still had the chance. He thought Ray would attack him directly, so he could do this. But Ray pulls one on it and plays the trick. His only relief was that five minutes was running out. He hoped he would do something.

Ray and Drew also understand from Jack's panting that the other party is almost done. They just need to drag him out. Both of them had smiles on their faces, as they played with Jack who tried his best to dodge.

After a while, Jack almost fell down, He propped himself up with a bamboo sword in his hand as he looked at the two people.

Ray and Drew had satisfied expressions on their faces, as they looked at Jack. Just when they thought that Jack was going to beg them to leave, the latter began to laugh mockingly which greatly shocked them.

They exchanged glances as they made the decision to take down Jack. But when they take a step forward.

*BOOM*an explosion hit them from behind. They fell forward with burnt clothes and charred backs. They painstakingly looked back and Sam stood there in his wet clothes, with two reels in one hand and on the other hand having the reels open and losing all the runes and split into two.

They gritted their teeth in anger and frustration. They were so content against Jack, they forgot about Sam, who was in the water. No. gabe. More like that, they felt that the latter had no threat to them because he was in the water. They did not think that the other party would take the other route and sneak attack them. They gritted their teeth and broke their tokens as they felt the increased pain.

The three men who were in battle with Eve and Shor were interrupted by a sudden explosion and gave Eve and Shor a chance to not miss. Just like that, the fourteen people who came to them were defeated and the four of them were still in the game.

Sam also fainted on the ground as he lay on his back to rest. Eve and Shor also sat on the ground to rest.

On side. Elder-1 and Elder-2 were astonished by what had happened. They did not expect the four members who were exhausted and also outnumbered would come out as winners.

"This is how they got two guns and survived until now." Elder-6 said from the side as he walked towards Sam. Elder1 and Elder2 felt their faces burning. They immediately left the place.

"Total 105 points for your team. How do you want me to share it?" Elder-6 asked Sam who was still lying on the ground.

"Eve 25, Shor 25, Jack 28, I'm 27." Sam said in a weak voice.

"Wait." Eve and Shor both shouted in unison. Elder-6 looked at them suspiciously.

"We're not much help. We don't need such a big part." Eve said as she timidly looked at her feet.

Sam paid no heed to it and only justified his earlier suggestion. Elder-6 nodded and left.

After half an hour. The four of them sat around the campfire as crocodile meat was roasted over the fire.

Sam put down the two scrolls, which had not been opened.

"This is a roll of points I get underwater. There are three reels in total. One attack scroll and two points scrolls. Each reel has 20 points each. How do you want to share it?" Sam asked while looking at the other three.

"Take one scroll for yourself. We'll hand out the other scrolls. Jack will get ten, me and Eve will get five." Shor was the first to suggest.

Sam looked at Eve and Jack. Both agree. After all, they knew the effort they were making to catch the crocodiles. Sam himself fought with one of them.

They collect points with their badges. And start eating. The sun set as dusk approached while they appreciated the warmth from the flames as they ate the meat after a long struggle.

Currently, there were only two teams left in the forest and the other team was already in a terrible condition. There are only two three people left.

Hawk and Kelly treated the wounds on their bodies along with other teammates. Yesterday, they fought with another team and were eliminated without losing their teammates. But today, they lost seven members as they met a pack of wolves and only three of them were able to escape. But they came out with something.

"Are you sure you want me to take this?" Hawk asked Kelly and the other man. He held a scroll, which could partially unseal his cultivation. They had paid the price with seven teammates to get this. The other two nodded as a sign of agreement.

Sam and the others were getting ready to rest. They had no idea that there were only two teams left in the forest and they were one of them. They're waiting for tomorrow.

[A/N: Sam and his team beat the team first, the team with Derek. They beat two teams today. Make a total of three. Hawk's team beat the other team. There are only two teams left.]
