In a dead forest, Sam and his friends live in the present.
The next day the group was divided into small groups of two and they split themselves up to hunt.
Meanwhile, inside the area marked by Sam, a large Pre-transcendent stage creature that looked like a Rhino walked slowly.
This was not an animal, this was an undead creature formed from the carcass of an animal and it could be seen from the huge chunks of flesh missing from its body.
But the energy of the creature does not seem to be comparable in size as it runs a bit clumsy.
Because that morning, he discovered that his energy was being drained out of his body from a single point on his back and he was unable to reach any material wherever he went.
It walked for a long time and immediately stopped in its tracks and sat on the ground leaning against the rock.
What the creature does not know is that there are small shoots on the back of its body with black leaves and the number of leaves is increasing.
The creature only stayed there until the afternoon and soon never moved.
But after some time, a black vine grew out of the creature's body, and the flesh in the carcass completely disappeared with only a tiny bit of skin and bone left. At the end, there were two blooming flowers and another bud on the vine.
The flowers look very similar to Sam flowers blowing pollen and with a gentle breeze this pollen also disappears while the flowers on the vine wither after the pollen falls.
Soon a group of vampires came to the area following in the Rhino's footsteps and were astonished to learn that the creature was gone, unable to be considered dead as it was already an undead, but it was gone.
It makes them feel a little frustrated.
"Why is the trail so fresh if it's long gone? There are even vines on it."
One of the vampires said in an angry voice.
The vampires didn't care about it, but what they didn't realize was a small white grain stuck to the skin of one of the vampires behind his neck.
While Sam's small plans are evolving rapidly and becoming big plans, he notices a change in the number of his wrist screen.
There was an excess of thirty-five points.
Sam did not expect that he would be able to get results this fast. He can guess what happened. Generally, even for the vine he planted, he estimated it would take three more days to show any results, but the next day he managed to enter this area, the situation changed.
But what he doesn't know is, his plan has spread faster than he thought and he doesn't know that a Vampire is carrying one of the pollen on his nape.
If he knew he would be more excited to see the results.
Meanwhile, she goes with Jack to visit somewhere.
From the chess pieces he collected, he knew of some good places in this area.
The forest they were in was the forest of death. As he already knew, this place was also a cemetery for some animals and creatures from other realms. They don't know which area it is.
This forest was home to some such beasts but with lower cultivation.
Moreover, there was a place near this area where a high-level swordsman died.
He died in a valley near the forest.
No one knew the cultivation level of that person, but the valley was surrounded by a sword storm and in the middle of it, everyone could see the silhouette of someone sitting in the middle of that storm.
It was the corpse of the cultivator who died there and the rumor was that he had a sword in his hand while dying and that sword contained all of his inheritance.
This place was used as a training ground by many swordsmen in this world.
Right now, Sam and Jack were standing on the edge of the valley. There were many undead creatures nearby. Vampires, Wights, Ghouls, and there were even ghosts with somewhat transparent silhouettes.
They all had different cultivation levels, but no one cared about these two humans, it was because they were currently in disguise created by Chatur.
Sam had taught his friends about this basic knowledge of nature after he learned from his chess pieces.
As is the case anywhere, different races have different territories they control, but there are no strict rules for people to live in one territory. At least for undead creatures, humans were treated as one of the precious resources, so they were strictly regulated.
As for the rest, they moved as they wished and as such, each race had seeds left in the territory of the other races. And for some reason, they don't have much conflict. They are very friendly with each other. Except for Vampires and Wights who had some minor differences and conflicts, there was no other difference between them.
Sam has found such places from chess pieces so he can help his friends gain experience and some of the legacy that is in this place and today is Jack's time.
They could feel the powerful sword energy and strong winds that could kill even a perfect being.
The entire valley was surrounded by this.
There was a method to enter and that was their sword essence. Their sword essence would give them access to the valley and the deeper they went, their sword essence should be even more refined.
Within the valley, there were many people sitting and standing with their swords as they practiced and refined their sword essence. It was also said that every single sword beam that existed in this valley was related to the techniques of the experts who died here, so they had the chance to learn it.
The only way to increase their sword essence was to practice more and better understand the sword.
Jack has a decent sword essence and he activates it before entering and Sam follows him. Sam had no idea how refined his sword essence was and he had no interest in knowing it. He is not interested in the legacy of others. The only reason he even tried to take Murali's legacy was to obtain the tool that the legendary person used.
And he received the shadow sword because it was an incredible weapon that had not been tamed for a long time.
As for this legacy, he was not interested. He had two great swords of his own that would one day reach the highest heights with him and the shadow sword was an addition.
He did not need an additional sword. He's not a collector.
He's only here to be safe if Jack gets in trouble.
He spent all day until night inside the valley as Jack trained in the valley.
He could not enter deep into the valley, but it was not bad for the first day. That night, Jack stops his training and talks to Sam.
"You can come back, I'll be fine. I won't be attracting much attention for the next three days. You can come back then."
"certain."
Sam did not force it and returned to the cave. The rest of the group did not return, they all came out and only came at midnight.
The next day, he took Philip and Watt to their respective places. It is a bit far from this forest, but their hoverboard really helps them in traveling quickly.
As for Arman, the lightning element was not something this place could offer. Death energy was extremely repulsive to lightning. As for Chatur, a normal inheritance would not help him much.
Over the next few days, Sam spends his time fighting the undead creatures and helping his friends with their understanding and practice.
He was waiting for something big to happen and the first month would be boring like this.
So, he wasn't too worried.
But what he didn't know was, his plan was moving a little faster than he thought.
With the forest dying, there was a small base of Vampires and within the forest near that base, there was a vampire leaning against a tree as he tried his best to control his energy flow, the source said, there was a human corpse nearby with all the blood being sucked dry.
But the Vampire showed no satisfaction from the food or energy he should have gotten from all that blood. At this moment, all he could think of was a small bud at his nape that grew increasingly larger at all times.
He noticed the little bud two days ago and he tried his best to pull it out. But he failed miserably when he realized that his roots were connected directly to his spine, he would do some serious damage to himself if he were to uproot it.
The shoots sucked his energy dry and even the resistance was very futile. All he could do was limit his own energy flow, but if he did that, the shoot dried up his body.
He struggled with this for the past three days as he let the buds take on energy that would calm him down for some time and restrict the flow for that grace period as he delayed his imminent death.
He was sure he would not be able to hold it for long.
