Days passed and one month later, Arkiv came once again.
Sam did not know why he had come at this moment, but he still went to talk to her.
"So, are you done with those boxes?" Arkiv asked as they sat down to eat.
"Yes, it's been a while. My device is ready to use."
"So, when are you planning on leaving?"
"Why?"
“I just asked casually. I didn't meet a lot of other players, but I did get a chance to meet some of them. They will leave at the end of the year. To be exact, one year before the Inheritance Palace opened.
This was a tacit understanding between all the players. Except for you and the twelfth person, we all made contact with at least two or more players."
"I also made contact with two players. You and Arman from the thunder god's temple."
"That's fair I guess."
"But the twelfth man is still unknown. We don't know where he is and whether he will come to the next inheritance palace or not. He didn't come to the second one and we don't know if he came to the palace.the first one."
"He did."
Sam said suddenly making Arkiv stunned for a moment.
"He did?"
"Yes, remember when I beat you all up at the first inheritance palace?"
"Yes." Yeah."
“That's when I learned of the whereabouts of the players, he definitely came. I accidentally tore a piece of clothing off the back and saw his tattoo. Just to make sure how many of us are there. That day, I counted twelve people. So , he was someone who made contact with a great power, but he seemed to have deliberately avoided the second one."
"You can die," Arkiv said casually and Sam looked at him as if he was an idiot. Arkiv also understood that he did not sound right.
It would be foolish to assume that one of the players died so soon, of course, there was a possibility but it was small. Since every player was a soul given a second chance, they would not be so foolish as to die early only after they came to this new world with new opportunities.
The players did not want to die a second time, their desire to survive was too strong compared to normal people in this world.
Death is not a pleasant experience. No one wants to experience the situation twice.
So, he found Arkiv's words a little foolish.
After which, they still continued the small talk and Arkiv asked.
"So, when are you going?"
"Don't you just say that there is a tacit understanding among all players, why would I want to destroy it? I'll also be gone at the same time."
“Actually, this is more of a fear than a tacit understanding. It is the fear of entering a new world. Unlike you, we don't have a chance to come back. Even if we can go back, it won't happen anytime soon.
That's why they doubt.
Even I was a bit hesitant."
"Truly, sometimes the best way to overcome indecision is to do something spontaneously. Why don't you try it?"
"Easy for you to say. Anyway, besides, my intuition warned me."
"Intuition?" ask Sam with a smile.
"Of course, don't dare underestimate the intuition of an archer. Every time I open the dimensional passer and think about leaving, intuition warns me. I don't know what happens if we go there. I wish I could get some more information."
Sam looked at Arkiv meaningfully; he could guess why he had come here. Their relationship was really business and all the small talk about this player as they could only talk about this amongst themselves.
Sam did not have any relationship with the other players, but since he met this person, he could still open up a bit about these players' matters.
But other than that, they don't have enough relationships to discuss something personal. He was just playing around and waiting for her to open up and say why she was really here.
Now he seems to be getting to the point.
"Sam, can I see the ancient text?"
Sam looked at him with raised eyebrows and asked.
"Why don't you guess?"
“I mean we're both players, why don't we make the exchange. I understand that getting that ancient text might not be an easy thing for you. I won't ask for free. Call it the price, we can negotiate if it's beyond my means."
"It's not about the Arkiv exchange. Do you know how I defeated all of you in the second heritage palace?"
"How's it?"
"Information. I have more information than you guys in that place. I learned about all of you and all of you couldn't even see me before I decided to appear in front of you.
Not only there, in every situation I managed to obtain more information than my enemies, even in the destruction of the main association and the Usaine sect, everything happened because of the information I had.
So, now tell me. What do you think the value of the information I hold?"
Arkiv was silent for a moment. He really only wanted to see the ancient texts Sam mentioned because he was still doubtful about Sam holding that information and wanted to investigate further.
But Sam's words were really straightforward. In fact, Sam wouldn't bother to tell even the preliminary information Sam had given before.
He did not have many bad opinions about Arkiv and decided to share some info. But it seems like this guy is a bit greedy.
The Arkiv also realized this. Maybe he already knew his actions but his desire to be safe, made him forget about it.
Sam laughed and said.
"It's not that I don't want to give you some info, but I can't just lose my edge over others so easily, even if you can keep this a secret.
But still, we can be considered as business partners because we once worked together, I'll tell you."
With that, Sam took out a breathing apparatus and placed it on the table.
“This might help you a little and make sure you cover your skin as much as possible. Don't get too close to the real humans there. Especially, people who live well.
They are unbelievable, try to stay away from the Dragon race, they might take you as a slave.
That's all I have to say, in fact, I know nothing more than that. Oh, by the way, I found out that you all probably went to the same planet. So, try to figure out a way to contact each other on that planet if you have any intention of working together."
Arkiv saw the breathing apparatus. It is one of the devices that resembles the first device Sam made, used for diving.
He kept it with him and said.
"thank you. I won't divulge the info to anyone else. I'd like to ask; do you want to go together?"
"Well, I think I'll go with Arman. He's like my subordinate. I can't let him go alone. Didn't you?"
"Is there any way to contact you then? We can work together at Naga Loka."
"Are you sure you want to work with me? I don't get along very easily."
"At least, you'll be ready. So, there's no harm in trying and hanging out with you. I think it's worth it. So, did you bring your friends?"
"I don't really want to, but I don't think they'll agree easily. If it's another world, I can take them. But this place, I won't do it."
Arkiv smiled and stood up, ready to leave.
"Alright then, if you want to cooperate in Naga Loka, you can contact me before we leave. Otherwise, we can still work together if we meet there. See you soon."
"Good bye."
With that, Sam also left the place and decided that it was time to tell these people that he was going to go alone.
He had a small meeting and patiently explained. Watt did make a fuss, but he still understood the situation. He could hold them in the divine dimension, but their growth would be stopped, unlike ferocious beasts.
So, after convincing them and giving the task of managing the organization, he was finally free. In the remaining days, there was finally some spare time for him to concentrate on his cultivation and battle techniques.
He also had to find the perfect combination for his elemental abilities so that he could use all of his equipment efficiently.
