THE REBIRTH OF A GENIUS. CREATOR/DESTROYER

THE REBIRTH OF A GENIUS. CREATOR/DESTROYER
Chapter 39. Cooperation

Sam and Jack were sitting by the river where Sam used to eat with Philip and the others. This time there was a large bird that was being roasted on the fire. Sam stared intently as he waited for her to cook. Although he, could make it faster with Golden flames, the feeling of waiting while roasting meat over an open flame was truly palatable.

"Sam, I want to make a deal with you?" Jack broke the silence.

"What's that?" Sam asked while flipping the bird.

"Do you need more meteorite sand?" This sentence caught Sam's attention completely, he turned towards Jack and looked at him with a serious expression.

"You got more?" She asked.

"No, but I know a place where you can find him." Jack replied in the same calm tone.

"Why should I trust you?" Sam asked a little carefully.

"Black meteorite sand is proof of its own."

"That's what makes it more suspicious. Even though you and I may not have a grudge, you might have other intentions to lure me with it. After all, if you really know the location where the Meteorite sands are located, you can make a deal with a high-level noble family or better yet the royal family. You can live your life in luxury. Why did you come all the way here to a backward city like this and make a deal with me using that precious resource" Sam said frankly.

Jack shook his head at Sam's speculation and did not know what to say for a moment.

"What do I need to do to make you believe me?"

"Not much. Just tell me the truth of the whole problem. Why do you want to make a deal with me? Where did you get this Black meteorite sand from and how are you so sure that there's Meteorite sand somewhere and how do you know that?"

Hearing Sam's question, Jack hesitated a little and finally made up his mind. "I don't know if you'll believe me if I tell you the truth, but because, you ask, I'll tell you.

My father is from the royal capital. He had once accompanied a group of people on an expedition. At that time the group went to a small island and then found a large variety of Meteorite sand. My father and the other members in the group were very happy to find it and everyone took a little bit of Meteorite sand and then made a deal that everyone had to keep the island a secret and they could all just go back one time a year to take a small amount at the same time so as not to arouse suspicion. They take the soul oath and all leave their own path after making an agreement about the next time they should meet.

But they don't know they've been betrayed. One of them had already sent the news back to his organization before they even swore. They had already cast tracking spells on the rest of the group and hunted in the following days.

But my father had already made some preparations as he prepared to be with my mother and me. But they still managed to find us and he fought the enemy and let mom and I escape. My mother then fled with me to the village. The black meteorite sand I picked up yesterday is what my father took." Jack said while feeling a little sad.

"How long has it been?" ask Sam calmly.

"15 years old" Jack replied in a similarly calm yet sad tone.

"Then you were a baby at the time. How do you know all this?" Sam asked suspiciously. Jack just sighed and shook his head. Then he took out a scroll and gave it to Sam.

"I just found it recently. My mom died a year ago and then she gave me this scroll. He said that this was given to him by my father to be passed on to me after I turned 16. But he died last year due to maturity for his past illness."

Sam took the scroll and read it all. The scroll more or less contained what Jack had said. But there's additional info. That's the name of the organization. It is called the Black Water Organization. Sam looked at Jack and asked.

"What's the deal then?"

"I want your help in destroying the Black Water organization." Jack said in a cold tone.

"I'm not the one who kills for money. Although I believe you. Black Water and I have no grudges. So, I have no reason to destroy them" Sam said.

"Look at this." Jack throws another scroll at Sam.

Sam opened it with a puzzled look and frowned when he saw the contents, a great deal of information about the organization. There are all kinds of shady businesses that they follow. Sam remembers the Mafia in the modern world. This Black Water is the Mafia version of the world. Just when he was about to say that it was none of his business if Black Water was involved in this kind of business, he looked at the last of the list and frowned.

He was immersed in deep thought. He really didn't care much about the start of the list because there was no really good society. The underworld is common. But the last list made him hate this organization so much.

"Where did you get this info?" Sam asked while looking at Jack. Jack felt something was wrong. "My father used to work for the royal family. My mother said that after she returned from the expedition, she began to investigate all the people who went with her using all her resources, they she found out that one of them was from Black Water. . So, she gathered all the info she could and gave it to my mother along with the other scrolls."

After Jack finished, Sam was silent for a while and then stared at the last row hesitantly. Then he took a deep breath and said.

"I'll help you, but not directly. I will not directly attack the organization with force and I will not be the center of attention directly. But every time you're going to move, you've got to tell me and I'm going to plan for it in such a way that you can give them maximum damage. I will only be bright when they notice me. I'll only take the payment once you're satisfied and I'll only accept it for the work I've given you. So, if you want to accept the deal, I agree."

Sensing his doubt, Sam spoke again. “According to the info on the scroll, Black Water is a large organization with many branches. Let's test our deal. If we go to the count city there might be branches there. We'll make some arrangements and remove the branches there. So, you can think of cooperation after that."

Jack though for a moment and nodded his head. "I'm fine with this, but when are we going to count the city?" He asked while looking at Sam with hope. He was too eager for revenge.

"We don't have to go alone. You go back to school today and then you wait there. There will be a team of people who will be selected to be sent to the Count city in 12 days. So, there may be selection news and you can try to take part in it. If you can do it, we'll get a free ride." Jack was a little surprised and calm. He nodded at Sam and extended his hand.

"It's a deal."

"Agreed"

Then it immediately became quiet as they chewed on the meat.

Meanwhile in the Crimson Fire family the atmosphere was rather gloomy. The meeting room was filled with this sadness as the family head sat in the main seat and all the elders sat down. There was a woman crying sobbing sitting next to the head of the family. Freya stood in the middle and looked at the head of the family.

"Freya, can you do this for the family?" The head of the family asked Freya in an imploring tone.

"No, dad. I've asked you before not to move on her. You refused and sent people to kill him. He's got news. Then when he took the academy's assessment, you also asked Carl and the others to make a move just because he was taking revenge for what you did? Now, you want to meet her just like that because she has a status that you cannot hurt. Sorry, dad. I have done what I can and have asked him to be lenient towards us .If you don't provoke him further, he'll be lenient. I can't force myself to ask him to meet you. After all, even though he was generous and could do that for me because of our friendship . I won't have a face to show him after that. I still have a little shame left." Freya said in a disappointed tone.

"Freya, how can you say that? You have to do something for our family." An elder from the side suggested.

"And why should I do that? I'm not the one who created the mess. You're honorable elders and you have a face to ask me to clean it up. Dream about." He said and left without hesitation.

All the elders looked embarrassed to be reviled by a young girl.

"Unfortunately, we have lost a genius like Carl and we have also lost the opportunity to maintain a good relationship with such a terrible talent. And worse, we've offended him."

Someone from the side sighed as he thought about the situation.

"Maybe the people from the academy already knew that. That's why they didn't send the elders to rescue Carl. They're really meticulous when licking."

"No. they accidentally stopped the elders to save him. It's more like they're not capable at all." Suddenly the head of the family said make the whole room quiet.

"Whatchu mean? The head of the family"

“That appraised the assessment was not the elders of the academy but something else. There was another rule that the Principal did not mention as it had been the norm for so many years that the rule was applied and did not need to be resurrected. But because of Carl and the others, that rule was used after a long time." The head of the family sighed as he remembered about his son.

"What kind of rules is that?" One of them asked.

"When one issued a death challenge and kept their escape token as a bet, the other elders were unable to interfere in the fight while they were at the testing ground. Actually, the judge won't allow it." The patriarch said in a low voice.

"But isn't the judge also part of the academy and isn't he also human. He can break the rules, right?"

"No, the formation itself is the judge. No human being is sufficiently suited to judge judgments because they can influence judgments."

All the elders were confused. "What do you mean, the magistrate formation?" Someone asked. But this time there was no answer.

Meanwhile. Sam finishes eating and goes to town with Jack. They went to the market and Sam bought a lot of materials for sewing, raw materials for forging and a lot of materials for inscription ink. Jack looked at the abundance of ingredients and took a deep breath.

"Sam, why are you buying so much?" Her question failed to hide her curiosity.

"I need to make money." Sam said and continued his shopping. It was late afternoon when Sam returned to his mansion. Jack has returned to the academy.

After entering the mansion. Sam sat down on the chair and after a moment of silence he spoke.

"I don't like guests to come uninvited. So, you better get out when I'm being nice."
