THE REBIRTH OF A GENIUS. CREATOR/DESTROYER

THE REBIRTH OF A GENIUS. CREATOR/DESTROYER
Chapters 20. Wagering

"Let's get status." After Sam said those words, everyone was dumbfounded. They don't know how they came but they followed Sam, somewhere. The location is Artisan Tower. When Philip and the others saw that, they felt astonished. They don't know why they came here. Artisan Tower is a branch of the Artisan guild. In every important city, the Artisan Guild opened the Artisan tower.

The Artisan Tower is one of four places that are not under the jurisdiction of the city lord. The other three places were the Pharmaceutical Guild, The Inscription Guild and The Formation Guild. These four places had a lot of influence as it brought most of the trade to the city. Four places have four towers in the city. The four towers were powerful not only because there was an expert whose strength was similar to that of the city lord, but also, they had a high status. The fourth head of the tower was Rank 2 in their profession. Thus, even the city lord had to show them respect.

So, when Sam came to the Artisan guild, they thought that Sam might know someone here who could help him out of the situation. Then Marvin asked. "Sam, do you know anyone here?" Marvin's.

"No." Sam's answer surprised them.

"If you don't know why we're here?" Freya asked this time.

"Well, didn't I tell you before, to get status of course." Sam was telling the truth.

"Sam, have you studied the forging or Weapon repair shop before?" Philip asked after thinking. He guessed why Sam had come here, but he did not dare to think of that possibility. Sam did not answer his question and simply walked over to the counter. Sam asked the receptionist.

"I want to take the exam."

"Here, fill out the form and go to the first floor." The receptionist who was a young lady said with a slight annoyance as she looked at him and gave the form. Sam looked at the form and saw it. This is the internship exam form. The internship exam form is used for people who want to become apprentices of some already ranked Artisan. The test will help analyze the talent and knowledge of the candidate and the results will be posted in all Artisan guilds, if any Artisan likes the candidate, they will offer him the opportunity to intern. That was how the system worked in all the other guilds as well.

When Philip and the others saw the form, they thought they finally understood what Sam was planning. Philip could only say. " Sam even if you can get a high score and can become an apprentice for a high ranked artisan, it will be too late. We don't have much time." Philip said a little worried. Sam smiled and was about to answer then he heard someone from behind.

"You've finally come out of the hole you've been hiding." Hearing that Sam and his friends all frowned. They turned towards the person who spoke and saw Leonard standing there with an ugly expression. Then Leonard looked at the form in Sam's hand and said with a mocking grin.

"You really are a village hick. Do you really think just because you can take the exam, you will definitely become an apprentice of a craftsman? Listen carefully, I've become a craftsman of the Elder Tower, he will become a rank 2 craftsman. Do you still think that there are people who will take you as an apprentice in the entire Artisan Tower? Dream on. I'll deal with you as soon as the Reception Tournament is over, I'll make you regret ever being born.

Sam did not mind at all and just walked over to the counter and said to the receptionist lady. "Miss, I want to take the Artisan exam, not the apprenticeship exam." Hearing what Sam said, everyone looked dumbfounded. The grin on Leonard's face froze. Then he laughed out loud. The receptionist also sees Sam from top to bottom with a frown on his face. He seemed to be upset for some reason, Sam thought to himself.

The receptionist only looked at Sam's handsome face and said with the same frown. "Here you are" And he continued his work.

This time it was Sam's turn to frown. He really felt unhappy. The receptionist was also unhappy. He was actually someone with a high status. Her father had punished her by making her work as a receptionist for today, which had made her emotions turbulent since morning. Now a man younger than him asked to take the Artisan exam. Isn't that a joke? Good thing he's handsome, otherwise I'll throw him out myself. He thought in his heart. Then he heard a voice that made him even more upset.

"Hello young lady, I want to take the Artisan exam." Sam repeated himself again. He looked at the woman well. The first impression the woman gave was 'vixen'. She's beautiful, sexy, seductive. That doesn't mean that his character will be bad. It was just her pretty face, her voluptuous figure. His proud chest gave such an impression to everyone. They just couldn't help to see her more and be interested in her. But none of them could be seen in Sam's eyes. He is currently very unhappy with his behaviour. At this moment the young lady spoke in an extremely cold tone.

"I don't know where you're from. But you better leave before I kick you out." He said in a very cold tone. Philip and the others were about to reassure Sam but stopped as he gestured to them.

"I'll say it again. I have the Acolyte magician's cultivation and fire attribute. Now, I want to take the exam to become an Artisan. On what basis are you going to kick me out of here." Sam said in an equally cold tone. Hearing this he finally lost his composure.

"Well, you want to take the exam. I'll let you take that. You must pay 10,000 spirit stones to participate. Then we'll talk." He said with anger.

"Why should I pay 10,000? Isn't that 1000 stones?" Sam asked in the same cold voice. He's getting frustrated.

"Because I said so." He said as if he was a natural but with the same high-pitched voice. Sam turned around and looked around. Right now, there are a lot of people around them. There were even some people in tower uniform. They seem to be the tower elders. But they don't disturb the commotion. Seeing this Sam became even more frustrated. But he really did not lose his composure but gave a demonic smile. Seeing this smile Philip and the gang felt a bit cold. They looked at the receptionist with pity.

"Okay I'll pay. It is better I will pay a total of 18,000 thousand stones. But in return I don't want my amount in return. Instead, I need a total of 5 times the original amount. Deal?" Actually, there is a rule that every candidate has to pay and will only get the money back if he or she passes. This was to stop them wasting the guild's time.

Hearing this all the spectators were dumbfounded. They let out a cold breath. They really want to see how big these balls are.

"Young man, don't overdo it." Now an elder intervened. Knowing that the problem was getting out of hand, he couldn't just stand there. Sam didn't even bother to look at the older one. He simply looked at the woman coldly with an extremely handsome evil smile.

Seeing her confident yet evil smile, the woman felt danger. But when he saw the people around him looking at him for a reply, he felt that he would lose a lot of face. So, he agreed.

"Agreed." He then stretched his hand towards Sam, asking him to pay first. But Sam did not say anything and looked through the crowd as if he was looking for someone. Then the receptionist asked while sneering. "What's coming out now?" He said with a provocative grin.

"I don't believe you." Sam said with the same calm and cold face. Everyone looked at the handsome man with shocked gazes. 'This person really knows how to make people angry to death.' Philip and the gang thought as they looked to the receptionist. Just when the receptionist will lose her composure again. A calm voice came from behind the crowd. A middle-aged man advanced forward as the crowd walked towards him. Every employee bowed respectfully. "I can be the middle man." The middle-aged man said. He was wearing a robe belonging to the Artisan Tower. From the respect of others, he seemed to be in a fairly high position.

"Who are you?" Sam asked in the same cold voice. Every elder looked at Sam with a fierce expression.

"Young man, don't you know how to respect the older one?" The elder who interrupted Sam earlier spoke. Once again, Sam did not even care and looked straight at the middle-aged man. Respectfully, he lost all respect to these people when they just stood up and watched the show. He came here with the right ethics and procedures to take the exam, but he was disappointed.

"I am the head of the tower." The middle-aged man said in the same calm voice. He didn't seem to be bothered by what Sam was doing. Everyone in that place felt their legs limp. 'This young man is done.' Everybody thinks. Even Philip and the gang felt quite anxious. But Sam did not even say anything and threw the leather bag at the middle-aged man and the man checked the bag and nodded. Then he looked at Sam and said to him. "Please get through here." As he spoke, he walked up. Sam and the receptionist followed. Many others followed as well. Leonard was also among them, he seemed to enjoy it quite well. He also had the same thought. "The village is finished." He muttered as he followed.

Upstairs Sam, the head of the tower and the receptionist along with the crowd were all standing in front of the room. The room was filled with all kinds of objects such as bellows, holes, anvils, hammers, cooling tanks, etc. Everything a gun maker needs is there. The tower began to explain. This is the examination room. “The material must be brought alone, if you want to be able to buy from the tower. Once the product is complete, bring it to that platform. If you pass the standard, the spirit tower will give you a weapon rank, which is also your Artisan rank. If your weapon is innovative and a new design, you should put your hands on the platform and use your spirit senses to show how you will use it. Then you might as well get the rank of Scholar's craftsman." The tower explained.

"Why waste your breath on him? He's not gonna graduate anyway?" the receptionist sneered from the side. Sam did not even look at it and walked into the room. The room has a glass wall for others to see from the outside.

"The time limit is half a day." Said the head of the tower from behind. Sam nodded and went into the room. He touched and checked every tool.

"Did Sam really know the Weapon Workshop?" Freya asked Philip.

"I don't know." He retaliated.

Did Sam really learn to be an artist? That's definitely not. Sam didn't know about anything related to the weapons repair shop in this world. But that doesn't mean that he's completely unaware of manufacturing. He dabbled in almost all kinds of techniques in his previous life.

After checking all the tools, Sam started looking through the prints in the room. There are various basic structure weapons prints. Generally, a Craftsman will use molds to obtain the basic structure and then proceed with forging. They were all waiting to see what kind of weapon Sam was going to forge.

But beyond their expectations, Sam didn't even look at the prints anymore and took something from his spatial ring that left them dumbfounded. Sam went to the workbench and took out a long roll of paper from the spatial ring and spread it on the table. There are various fine geometric figures on the scroll. Sam saw them once and walked towards the cooling tank. There Sam sat cross-legged while taking a large pile of sand. The sand may look like mud. But it's actually fine. It just looked like ordinary earth, Sam took water from the tank and started pouring it on the sand and started mixing it up. Sam brought the land from the riverbank.

Seeing his strange actions, everyone discussed.

"What's he doing?"

"Did he lose his mind?"

"What is the land for?"

"Will he make something out of the mud.

"Acting Mysterious" The young receptionist scoffed but the tower chief remained silent the entire time.

Sam did not hear these comments. He just silently mixed the ground. Once he was satisfied with his land. He took out four wooden planks and a few nails and started making a rectangular frame. When the frame was finished, Sam placed it on the soft floor and took out fine sand and began to spread it evenly on the floor. He then took out a set of strange objects from the spatial ring. There are some wood carvings.

Then Sam put the wood carving on the workbench and took the wooden hammer from his equipment. Then he went back to the wooden frame with the wood carving and placed it inside the frame, then he poured the wet ground and started hitting it with a hammer. He filled it up and crashed into it until the wooden frame was filled to the brim with vigor. Then he turned the frame along with the sand packed. The sand did not fall at all. Then he carefully took out the wood carving and left behind a sand filled with cavities.

Sam did a good old casting operation using green sand printing technique. Just now he was using wet soil and wood carvings that were technically called patterns to create sand molds to pour molten metal. Generally, there will be another additional mold on top of the mold he has just made with a hole for pouring metal, to prevent the impurities from mixing with the molten metal and to ensure that the metal is poured properly.

But Sam didn't feel the need. Because the room was surrounded by formations to avoid dirt and to control Sam had confidence in his dexterity to control it. Then Sam started making prints in the same way as all the other patterns. The room was immediately filled with seven prints. Of those six have single component molds. The seventh has many smaller components. Then Sam came to the table and checked the scroll. After he checked the sketch properly, Sam took a few steps back.

Seeing Sam's strange actions, the crowd had already gotten used to it. Now only the receptionist makes a comment.

"Acting high and mighty and just playing mud. The spirit stone is as good as mine."

Just as he was about to continue. The head of the tower flashed a sharp look. The head of the tower is like no other. He is one of the most knowledgeable people here. So, he understood that the young man was definitely not toying with the mud.

While Sam brought out something that everyone thought would be another strange thing but went against their expectations. There was a golden metal skeleton that looked like a tiger skeleton. Everyone was shocked and looked on in amazement.

"Golden Blood Tiger." This time the silent tower head also looked a little surprised. He had also thought about what materials the young man would use, but he never expected that he would use materials that would even put rank 2 craftsmen like him to a halt.

Everyone immediately discussed as soon as they heard that name.

"Damn, where did he find the entire skeleton of the Golden blood tiger?"

"She seems to have a certain background. Otherwise, it would be impossible to obtain that skeleton with his own strength."

Then under everyone's astounding gaze, Sam went to the skeleton of the huge tiger and removed his claws and stored them in the warehouse. Then he took off the bones of the foreleg of the skeleton and held it with both his hands on top of the large cauldron and stored it.

Sam closed his eyes and observed the metallic bone structure and slowly began to analyze the distribution of bone grains. Then everyone saw Sam sweating profusely as he continued to concentrate.

"Still acting. Huh. Did he really think that the Golden Blood tiger bones were that easy to deal with? It's ridiculous even to watch. He doesn't even know the basics and still wants to be an Artisan." Acceptance is still scornful. Everyone also nodded in agreement except for a few people. There was nothing else but Philip and the gang and the head of the tower.

Philip and the others because they saw how Sam made bones into powder before and the head of the Tower because of his intuition.

Yeah, Intuition because she felt Sam's seriousness and trust.
